This was perfect for our brief stay in Charleston. It's centrally located to everything in the area. We love the fact that there were so many beds so everyone was comfortable.
Great place to stay for our daughter’s grad weekend! Host had beach chairs for us to use, which we really appreciated when we went to Sullivans Island for a day trip.
Host was easy to communicate with!
House worked out great for 3 friends. Walking distance to most everything (if you like to walk) Jack our host was fabulous. Very receptive and easy to work with.
Had a fabulous time.
Only negative is it is noisy because of a main street but there are noise canceling machines that work fine.
House was great. Good location, very central to all the Charleston attractions.
House well appointed and host was very accommodating and responsive.
No complaints at all, would highly recommend!!
My friends and I had a great stay in Jack’s home. Very close to Charleston and easy to get to the islands in the surrounding area. The house is well equipped and comfortable. As mentioned in previous reviews, street noise can be an issue at night. Otherwise it’s a great spot to stay and see a beautiful city!
The house was beautifully renovated and super comfortable. Two bedrooms has queen beds and the third bedroom has twins. The main bathroom was stunning. The pictures did not do the house justice. My only complaint would be the road noise. It is on the corner of a very busy street. The owner did provide sound machines to drown out the noise. If you are a sensitive sleeper this may not be your place. Otherwise, it was an amazing and super comfortable place. The
Five of us stayed for a long weekend to celebrate my sister's bachelorette party. Everything was cleaned and ready to go when we arrived. I had asked the owner about an early check-in. He was extremely communicative during our stay, and was able to ensure my early check-in, so I had extra time to get things ready! The property was about a 10 minute walk to King Street, but there's also plenty around in the surrounding blocks. We did utilize the beach chairs and towels. We had a great stay here, and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone else staying in the area.
The family friendly house is clean, and comfortable! Being so close to the main road is a bit noisy. We brought our dogs and they loved going on walks and having fun in a very dog friendly town. Dogs welcome almost everywhere including the beach. House is well equipped with everything you need, including sheets/towels and chairs for the beach! We had a great time and appreciate the 2 parking spots for our cars!
We were 2 couples (and 1 dog) meeting in Charleston to catch up and enjoy a weekend together. The property worked well for us. The owner was easy to work with and provided some good recommendations for local restaurants. There were some great places in the area. We found it easy to navigate - drove during the day, Ubered at night. We were comfortable and relaxed in the home. Everything went very smoothly and we had a wonderful weekend. Thank you!!
The house was perfect for our girls trip. We never ate in so didn’t use the kitchen much but it was nice to have just in case. I liked the old claw foot tub!
First Time in Charleston with our In Laws from Michigan
Overall the property was great for our long weekend stay. The location was perfect and we walked during the day and Ubered at night. This property’s master bedroom was right off a VERY busy street but with the noise cancellation systems it didn’t bother us much. There is not much privacy for the master bath or master bedroom as both have glass panes doors that were frosted. You could still see through the doors though and with in-laws who get up at 6am it was a bit of an issue for me. The host lives above the unit but was not an issue for us.
We had a great 10-day stay, by far our best yet in our trips to Charleston. Our host was fantastic.
The house comfortably slept our group of seven (includes two 2.5-year-old toddlers), with plenty of bedding provided for us to spread out on.
The location is central to everything. We walked to downtown Charleston every day. King Street is an easy 1/2 mile away, and then you walk further down King Street to access the marketplace and the surrounding shops. We went to the Charleston and the Childrens museums. We also walked a few times for a couple of miles to get to The Battery, Rainbow Row, and the Pineapple fountain.
We enjoyed grilling a half dozen times in the backyard patio, and we also enjoyed the great downtown (many of them small and unique) restaurants nearby. When we left downtown, we went to Saltwater Cowboys at Shem Creek (where we saw the Dolpins at sunset) one night, and to Folly Beach Crab Shack on another night. Both are a super easy 10-20 minutes to get to.
We highly recommend the house to all, even for us when we come back to Charleston next year to visit with our kids and grandkids again. So much to do! Great fun!!
Jack was the perfect host, available if needed, personable and encouraging us to enjoy his home without his interference. We loved our stay, walking downtown daily and eating in wonderful neighborhood restaurants upon our return. Perfect spot for a girls’ trip with wine on the porch and plenty of room to stretch out.
My family really enjoyed this comfortable and well appointed apartment. Charleston has so much to offer and the culinary experience was like no other. We stayed a week with my wife and 5 kids and did not even scratch the surface. I would definitely stay here again and Jack is an very attentive host.
We enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect. Allowed for walking and exploring the historic neighborhood. Lots of great restaurants and shops nearby. Jack was super responsive!
Refrigerator needs attention. The side pieces that hold food items in place are non existent. Only a top and bottom shelf in refrig so not much room to store your food.
Ice cube trays are falling apart.
Noisy day and night due to location but this was explained, and there are noise machines in rooms.
Beds were comfy, pretty bedroom furniture and wall art
This property was perfect for 5 girls hitting up Charleston. The location was walkable to so many restaurants and downtown and King street. Loved it had parking available as well. Communication with the owner was fast and on point to any requests we had. We had no issues with the place. As others have mentioned, yes it is close to a busy road so there is some road noise. Nothing some headphones can't fix. Loved the front porch area and firepit too. Would 100% recommend. Thanks Jack for such a great space.
Had the best stay thanks to our gracious host. He accommodated our needs and was responsive if we had any problems. I highly recommend staying here because of the convenience to king and the quaint charm of the house. Would stay again!
