About the host
Hosted by Sandlin R Niccum
I'm a born-and-raised Austin, Texas native and split time between my hill country ranch there and here at Sombrilla Springs, May through October, with my husband, Todd, and our three kiddos: Reed, Lilly and Ellery.
Why they chose this property
My fabulous mother always wanted a Colorado ranch and worked for over a year on acquiring this one in particular after falling in love with it years before. Just before we closed on it though, we were devastated by her sudden passing. After taking a family vote, we all agreed to band together and forge ahead with Mom's plan to keep the ranch. To do so, we offer minimal-impact glamping and a stunning event venue, for those who love and appreciate Colorado's natural beauty.
What makes this property unique
Waking up here, it's hard to discern if you're still dreaming. Glamping at Sombrilla Springs is easily one of the most unique and stunning adventures to which you can treat yourself and your family. You get the run of the entire 450-acre ranch that is home to a variety of animals, our cattle and horses, our Golden Retrievers, Possum and Charlie. We serve our guests a hearty breakfast in the barn every morning and I'm always at your beck and call to answer any questions, help arrange any excursions and experiences, get a fire going, anything you might need.
