About this property

This 'One of a Kind' cabin that we call 'Great Sky' was created and built by a local rustic furniture craftsman and is a showcase of his talents in his design and abilities. He not only built the cabin but added his personal touch in creating custom cabinets in the kitchen, a wonderful staircase to the master bedroom and custom 'one of a kind' furniture throughout the cabin including chairs, beds, dining tables, rockers, etc. You must see to appreciate his talents.

Additionally, this cabin shows some of the best possible views in Ellijay looking out over the mountains and the surrounding national forests. From the master bedroom, or the private deck off the master bedroom, or the living area, or the back deck, you can see breathtaking, million-dollar views year round!

The cabin is also located in an area with paved roads and easy accessibility to the cabin year round. Golf courses are located near by.

Additionally, visit the City of Ellijay, 'The Apple Capital of the South' or Blue Ridge (ride the train) within minutes from the cabin.
There is plenty to do and plenty of great restaurants to try. You can go horseback riding, rafting, or pick apples in the fall. Or you could just relax on the hammock, read a book, or fall asleep!

Lovely cabin!

We totally enjoyed our stay. Easy access, beautiful view, clean cabin and well stocked kitchen. The hot tub was clean and warm when we checked in. The manager called right away when I had a dumb blonde moment with the lockbox. We would happily return!

Relaxing and Fun Get-Away to the GA Mountains

Cabin had everything we needed for our stay. Very Clean and Comfortable. Easy to get to and drive up was good, paved roads. Enjoyed the clean hot tub after a moderate hike on a local trail. Enjoyed visiting the breweries in Ellijay as well as our favorite Grumpy Old Men in nearby Blue Ridge. We always like some elevation when visiting the area as its a bit cooler than flat Florida. The only thing I may suggest is clearing some of the brush and trees on the first floor to open up the view. The view off the master upstairs was great, so the view on the bottom should be equally good. We would definitely return, would probably stay an extra day, 2 nights were not enough! Thank you

Nice cabin and easy to get to

The cabin was easy to get to. No real steep roads and all were paved except the driveway which was no issue. The cabin was clean and well appointed. We only used the main level bedroom and the bed was comfortable. We enjoyed our stay.

Great Sky Cabin

Great little cabin

Perfect cabin for my wife, our two daughters, and our little dog. The cabin had everything we wanted: authentic log cabin with wood finishes throughout, fireplace, mountain view, outdoor grill, hot tub, wrap around porch, etc. Nearby Ellijay was fun to visit with lots of nice antique shops and restaurants.

The property was perfect. They had everything ready for a Christmas stay. Decorations, Christmas tree the works. Awesome location center to everything. Hiking, downtown Blue Ridge, Ellijay and attractions. Will definitely be going back.

PERFECT IN EVERY SENSE OF THE WORD!

This Cabin was PERFECT for our family of 4 adults. Plenty of room, fabulous views, wonderful hot tub, easy access (use second driveway, as advised in directions), deer everywhere. We have been coming to the Blue Ridge/Ellijay area every 2 years to celebrate Thanksgiving and this cabin was perfect for our needs. We actually cooked a full Thanksgiving dinner and it was totally stocked with all the necessary items to cook the meal. The beautiful dining room table saw plenty of action from eating meals, to being a great space for playing games. Plenty of sitting room and the furniture was lovely. Having a Washer and Dryer was such an added bonus. However with all that being said, the absolutely best part was that we could bring our Boston Terrier, and they even had a dog bed, bowls, and toys available for her. Thank you for sharing your cabin with us.

Wonderful Stay

We had a fabulous time!! The house was amazing! We didn't want to leave. It was awesome to be able to walk out the door in the mornings and see deer. Will definitely be back :)

Beautiful Cabin with Beautiful Views

The cabin is so beautiful and beautifully decorated - the listing pictures don’t do it justice. We had the perfect long weekend relaxing and exploring the near by town and hikes. We will be back!

Great Location, Incredible Views!

We were welcomed to the cabin with delightful music playing on the TV...nice touch. We found the cabin to be roomy, and well stocked with what we needed. It was the end of October, and the leaves were REALLY starting to fall, so maybe putting a leaf rake on the screen porch would be a good idea. The location of the house is excellent, and it was easy to access via the second driveway, as per instructions. The beds were comfy, and when the outside temperature dropped into the 20s during our stay, the central heat kept the house cozy. We used the fireplace as well, and were grateful for the stack of firewood already provided. Everything was in good working order, and we really enjoyed the incredible views from the multiple decks and even from the expansive living room windows. This is one of the nicest rentals we've stayed in, and I'm sure we'll be back for a second visit!

Perfect get away

We spent 2 nights and wish we had the time to stay longer. The cabin is very private, even though there are neighbors. Clean and helpful info throughout the cabin to make things easy. Beautiful scenery and for us a perfect location. It was close to both Ellijay and Blue Ridge, without being in town. Charles, the host, was very helpful to prepare us and delivered exactly what we hoped for. Highly recommended.

Ellijay cabin

The cabin was as expected . We loved seeing the deer everyday out in the yard. It was well stocked and all we needed was our food . The screened in porch was great for our puppy to play in . The only negative thing was the hot tub was kinda of dirty so we didn’t use it . Other than that, it was great

R&R in Ellijay

The cabin (more like a full house lodge with a wrap around screened porch w/foosball and pingpong table for families to enjoy) was in a beautiful neighborhood with deer that came to visit all throughout the day. The views of the sunrise over the mountaintops were amazing and the stars at night were incredible! If you are looking for a quiet relaxing time away this is the place. Lots of non-commercial places to eat in Ellijay and Blue Ridge both about 15 minutes away in either direction. Both are adorable quaint towns with many shops to browse through. They also just opened a Winery called "ROO" that has live music and rooftop views to enjoy while sipping some wine! Many areas to hike if you enjoy the outdoors too!

Loved our stay at the Big Sky cabin. Fantastic woodworking, views, cleanliness. Fragrant flowering bushes all around the home. Ping-pong was a blast. I'd like to stay there again.

weekend getaway

our families first trip to the blueridge mountains, we hiked the tallest peak in GA, we explored some waterfalls. It was the off season i guess, so some of the places were closed. The cabin was great and we loved everything about it.
