This property was outstanding, loved the beauty of the surrounding fields and stream, lots of wildlife. Home had everything we could have ever wanted. Will definitely stay again. AND, if I could have given "communication with property manager" 10 stars I would have done so. Jeanette was accommodating and very responsive to any questions that I had. We loved it.
Beautiful location, plenty of room both inside and out. Fully stocked. Great place.
Very good especially for larger groups. Property is beautiful along the river. I would definitely come here again. The owners were friendly, helpful and very cooperative.
Everything was better than expected! Both houses were very clean as were the properties themselves. Nestled in the vineyard acres, surrounded by trees and the beautiful river just at the edge of the property, it was so relaxing and very peaceful. . Enjoyed the early morning walks and the fishing and kayaking in the very cold and extremely refreshing river. Got to see the wild turkeys occasionally wandering the edge of the properties. Very private and quiet location as well but also very close to the little town. It was 108 on 1 day and then 106 on the next but the AC worked flawlessly. The nights cooled down very nicely to where you could open the windows and enjoy. The main house is very spacious and easily accommodated all of us for get togethers and lunches and dinners. We all had had such a great time. It definitely went by too fast! Jeannette was very easy to work with and we felt very confident that she would have been right there to solve any issues had they occurred. Thanks again Jeannette!!
The house and property were perfect! Great access to the River, kayaking, fishing, basketball, etc.... Jeanette the owner was great to work with and will definitely be coming back for another stay. Highly recommend this house for a nice getaway.
After a full summer of being cooped up at home we found this perfect rental. One of the best things about it was the convenience of not having to drive anywhere. We were able to walk out and enjoy the river for swimming, fishing and kayaking. As well as just sitting and relaxing while taking in the view and the breeze. The property was beautiful and the home was spacious.
One thing to note is that the groundskeepers home is pretty close to this rental. However, as mentioned by other reviewers as well we never ever saw him once. We have every intention of coming back.
Great location by the river! Comfortable home and a great summer spot!
Family friendly with shuffleboard, cornhole, and kayaks. Beds were comfortable and there was plenty of room for our family of 4 adults. Close to wineries too!
This house is unbelievable! Owner is super easy to work with, very flexible and helpful, the house has a great charm to it and the backyard is excellent with kids. River offers a nice cool down and you've got plenty of room to relax. We'll definitely be renting it again hopefully!
My family stayed in August for a long weekend. It was HOT but the house was air conditioned and the river was great for a dip (though quite cold). The best part of this place was the grounds! There was a basketball court, yard games and river access (with kayak!) which made for lots of outdoor fun for the whole family. The kids could run around the property without worrying about masks and it was almost like there was no COVID! We wish the river was a little warmer but overall it was a wonderful stay. Jeannette was a pleasure to work with. We'll be back!
This property provided a peaceful and relaxing getaway for our family. We enjoyed the kayak they provided, as well as sprawling lawns with both large sunny and large shady areas. The river current is significant, it felt like an endless pool set on high, so a good challenge for us and our teenagers to swim across, but not safe for little ones to get far off the shore.
The house itself was comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on the deck facing the river. The beds were comfortable. They've only recently starting renting it, so there are some odds and ends they are still sorting out, such as the AC in the downstairs TV/game room getting too cold (connected to same zone as the rest of the house, with no control other than opening a window).
The property owner, Jeanette, was a pleasure to work with, answering our questions and finding ways to accommodate our concerns. Wifi is spotty. Cell service through AT&T worked consistently, but with just 1 bar--not able stream more than 30 seconds of continuous video, but adequate for other internet usage. We brought a portable blue ray player and hooked it up to the TV to watch movies we brought from home.
This house is one of three on the property, but it still felt very private which was important to us. There is a caretaker’s house nearby, but we never actually saw him except when for when we arrived and he was mowing the very large lawn. The inside of the house was spacious, and the climate was well controlled. The oven is on the smaller side but served its purpose. The only other house is a bit of a ways away and there are trees dividing the property. We never heard the people who were there
The access to the river is so close and this is where we spent most of our time. The water was clear and refreshing. The shore was sandy and gently sloped. It lent itself to both swimming and fishing. There is a mild current so we were not able to use our foot paddle boat and may be easy for smaller swimmers to be carried but we had no trouble riding the current and swimming to the edge and I am inmy third trimester. The property is surrounded by trees, a vineyard, and other vegetation which makes it a peaceful natural environment. While you could hear the road from the property, it wasn’t especially disturbing. The access to the river is semi-private. We were there for three days and in that time there was one group of kayakers that paddled by from the dam and another time that the tenants from the other house launched their kayaks near us but overall we were undisturbed and enjoyed our alone time. As others have stated the owners were a dream to work with. We are already looking forward to bringing our family back.
We had a great stay at River Bend! The house was clean, the kitchen was well stocked, and the beds were comfortable. The house was air-conditioned with plenty of space for our group of 7 - grandparents, parents, and three kids. A downstairs hangout space had couches, a bathroom, and a shufflepuck table. We opted to eat outside each evening on the back patio, and star-gazed at night on the back deck.
The location is very private and you have access to a huge backyard and the river. The owner provided us with kayaks for the whole family and we paddled upriver every day, sometimes twice a day.
We would highly recommend River Bend for a family who is looking for a relaxing week away.
The home/space was BEYOND beautiful and relaxing. The owner was a GEM to work with from the moment we locked in the location to the minute we stepped off the property to head home. I couldn't have asked for a better experience and cannot wait to go back!

My husband and I live in Lodi, California with our 3 children and 3 dogs. We love Lodi for its small town feel. We also farm wine grapes and Bing cherries. The Various wineries surrounding the Lodi-Lockeford area make for a great weekend getaway. Lodi was just named 2015 Wine Region of the Year.
