Lay Lake - On main Channel in private area. With Hot Tub and Kayaks

If you are looking for privacy then this is the place for you. House rests on a peninsula with private entrance. This is southern comfort at its finest. Sit and relax on the oversize pier. Perhaps take in a view of the lake from the hot tub. Maybe spend the day exploring the lake by kayak. Come and see what a true southern porch looks like from our porch swing. Even bring a boat and spend the day fishing to get away from the days news. Must be 24 years old to rent.

Beautiful home. Very peaceful area on lake. Kitchen has all you should need. We enjoyed the hot tub and the porch swing! The boat dock has a radio and speakers and plenty of chairs for relaxing while doing some fishing!

Perfect place to Relax!!

We stayed at this beautiful lake house with our three kids and loved every minute of it!! As soon as we walked into the house we noticed how clean everything was, and how fresh it smelled!! My kids were so excited about the big bedrooms upstairs, and the master downstairs was perfect too!! We brought tubes and floated in the lake! The kids swam, used the kayaks and jumped off the dock a million times! We also all enjoyed soaking in the hot tub and enjoying the gorgeous lake view!! The house was equipped with everything we needed. During our stay we visited Majestic Caverns, the Blue Bell Ice Cream Creamery and Cheaha State Park. Our favorite thing was just hanging out at the house and enjoying the lake!! I would highly recommend this house to anyone who is looking for a place to relax and spend quality time with loved ones!!

Beautiful Home

This lake house was perfect for our stay. Very clean and comfortable. We were in for a highschool bass fishing tournament. The hot tub was a nice added bonus on these February evenings. The driveway was a little tricky to navigate with a boat. We would stay here again on a return trip to Lay Lake.

Perfect vacation spot- tranquil and gorgeous

We had the most glorious family Christmas here!! It’s spacious and beautiful and right on the lake. Everyone in the family loved it. Couldn’t ask for a better vacation spot!

Relaxing getaway

Everyone in our group was very happy with the home. It had everything we needed and more. The views were wonderful, especially the sunsets and sunrises on the water. A little steep to get down to the dock, but even with my husband's knee problems we made it just fine. Our grandson had a fishing tournament the weekend we stayed and the launch was only 7 miles away. Perfect! They were able to bring the boat up to the dock. Hot tub was very enjoyable. A plus that it is just outside the doors to the master bedroom. We would definitely stay again!

Great experience. Pictures gave true depiction of property.Peaceful, clean. Well stocked kitchen. Highly recommend if going to Talledega Superspeedway. Only an hour from track. Easy access there & back. Owner was very responsive & easy to work with.

Beautiful home and helpful hosts

A lovely lake house, well-kept with MOST of the amenities needed BUT NOT ALL. Hosts very very helpful and accommodating EXCEPT when it came to an empty gas canister for the bbq (we were told we had to buy one for our 1-2 nights of bb). When already spending a lot, I expect this to be a part of the offer, especially when it is listed on the posting. This was very disappointing. Finally, this rental is not for international travelers. There is no wifi and therefore if you depend on wifi for travel planning, this house is not fir you. Otherwise, lovely experience.

Lake House Weekend Getaway

We had a wonderful family get away to this lake house. It was very quite and peaceful there. The lake was very pretty and we fished right off the dock. The house was very nice and comfortable as well. We would definitely consider returning again in the future.

Happy Honeymoon

We chose this for our honeymoon getaway. It was the perfect escape. We cooked and enjoyed meals on the porch staring at the lake. We fished off the dock and spent evenings just sitting by the water. The grocery store is 5 min away. Went into Columbiana for dinner one evening. We can’t wait to visit here again for the perfect relaxing getaway.

Beautiful house Disappointing water location and conditions.

House was beautiful but very sparsely supplied. Outside porches dirty with lots of spider webs, dead bugs. Plants hanging on porch were more brown and dead than alive. It was not specified in description that only way to enter water is off end of dock in deep water. There is break wall and shoreline is all weeds. Unable to wade not suitable for small children. Next to swamp in cove area where current seems to wash all garbage up right in front of house. Unable to even sit on dock due to spider webs and bird crap covering everything. Deeply disappointed. Google address you will see actual location and it's on a river not a lake.

Time away

Had a wonderful time boating, floating, tubing, etc. This property was just what we were looking for. House is lovely, very comfortable, cleN and location, for us, was perfect. Great pier and space to tie up your boat. Minutes from a marina. Property owner very nice and quick to respond. Would definitely, no question, stay again.

Rita and I have 4 boys all married with 6 grandkids. We use VRBO when we take vacations and understand what it takes to have a great stay away from home. When the home is not rented, we enjoy having all the family meet us there. We love the lake and hope you will enjoy as much as we do!

Why they chose this property

Our home is secluded with a private driveway. The waterfront is all seawall. Plus the dock is oversized with Kayaks and paddle board for your use. The views are beautiful and you are just the right distance from the water.
