Unwind in luxury at this luxurious home, where everyone can relax in their own space. Cook with ease in the upscale kitchen, then serve in the dining room or the living room in front of the gas fireplace. And we mean it when we say there's room for everyone here - on the main floor, guests can relax in the first main bedroom, which includes a king bed and an en suite bathroom with a soaking tub and walk-in shower. The second bathroom on this floor features a walk-in shower. Upstairs, guests can select between one bedroom with two twin beds, a second bedroom with one queen bed, and the second main bedroom of the house (which includes a king bed and an en suite bathroom with a walk-in shower). Views of the Crystal Mountain Resort golf course can be enjoyed from this bedroom! The second bathroom on this floor features a shower/tub combination. Down on the basement floor, the final two bedrooms feature one queen bed and two sets of twin bunk beds. Guests of this floor can make use of a bathroom with a walk-in shower. Of course, after a long day on the greens (or the mountain), there's nothing left to do but gather around the firepit. You can always take advantage of the shared hot tub available and relax your sore muscles after spending the day exploring the mountain or shredding some powder at the slopes.

Guests have access to Crystal Mountain Resort amenities (less than a half-mile from the house), which must be purchased separately. At the resort, guests can enjoy skiing (cross-country and downhill), snowshoeing, 36 holes of golf, spa treatments, fine dining, and other activities. Beyond the resort, guests can take a delicious sip of local history at the Iron Fish Distillery three miles away.

Three generation family weekend

Buckaroo was an excellent fit for our 23rd family ski weekend getaway! With three generations, we have many different needs from a home—bedrooms on different levels, room for games, large group dining—and Buckaroo did not disappoint. Everything was in great repair, very clean and very pleasant decor and roominess. Thanks for sharing your lovely home with us. We will try to come back.

Cozy Property with Ideal Location, But Heating Issues Detract from Comfort

The home’s heating system had significant issues. On the first floor, the master bedroom was noticeably colder than the rest of the house, and the master bathroom appeared to lack any temperature control, making it uncomfortably cold throughout our stay. While we tried to use the space heaters provided by the property management, they were insufficient. Additionally, the oven’s temperature control system was outdated and difficult to use, resulting in unevenly dispersed heat. Despite these issues, the property itself was wonderful, and its proximity to the slopes was exceptional.

Nice home but overall fell far short on basic amenities, etc.

Positives: Large foyer and mudroom with bench for removing shoes. Kitchen/dining/living room easily accommodated 10 adults. Outdoor area with picnic table and fire pit with plenty of seating. Quiet neighborhood. Negatives: We had to clean up several piles of dog poop near the fire pit area. No firewood, we had to drive around to find a place to purchase it. Screened porch furniture was stained and dirty. Lack of basic amenities: We were provided with 2 kitchen towels, 2 extra kitchen garbage bags, 5 dishwasher pods,1 roll of paper towel, no basic cleaning supplies. Contacted Vacasa about the lack of supplies for a party of 10 adults and was told we were “free to replenish these items independently, as needed”. Basic essential toiletries were at a bare minimum. Thin cheap bathroom towels, cheap bedding and pillows, thick dust on ceiling fans. The bed in the main floor master bedroom sits very high. A 5’4” family member staying in that room needed to get a step stool from the garage in order to climb in and out of bed. The main floor community bathroom toilet was leaking into the downstairs mechanical room. I filed a report the first day but the bathroom toilet was not fixed during our stay. No instructions for how to lock the front door, no listing of emergency numbers, no listed location of first aid kit and fire extinguisher. We eventually found the fire extinguisher under the kitchen sink, the first aid kit was located in one of the many kitchen drawers.

Family Christmas in July!

We’ve been going to Crystal mountain for many years and enjoy all the activities and towns surrounding us. We left a bag of dirty laundry and they found it and are mailing it back to us!

Family Ski Trip

This is definitely one of the nicest places we have ever stayed at! It is our third year returning and we hope for many more to come. Constructive comments: - Not the most flexible with early check-ins. - Firewood was not readily available. - Despite the title of the listing, there is no hot tub at the home. They are referring to the resort hot tub for which you have to pay $20 per person to use and it is about a half a mile away. It would be amazing if they would actually put a hot tub at the home. It’s really the only thing this place is missing.

Beautiful Home

This is an amazing home and a great location on Crystal Mountain. Walking distance to all of the amenities! If you have a large group you will want to bring extra bath towels, or have detergent to wash more frequently. Other than that it has all the comforts of home, we will definitely be back!

Beautiful Home. Great location

We are return guests. Love staying at Crystal Mountain and especially at this beautiful home. Has all the amenities that we need for a large family of 10. That location is fantastic as you can walk to everything at Crystal. Love to be right on the 10th hole of the Betsie Valley course. Also, the fact that it is pet friendly is a bonus!

Great location but customer service not so great

We had stayed at the property for a golf trip eight guys. Day one we noticed that the dishwasher did not work. We called Vacasa and they sent someone over right away. They told us that there’s nothing they can do. We have to just persevere for the five days that we were there. We cooked two meals a day for eight people and had to do all the dishes all week long. The house is great. The location is great. They say there’s a hot tub but there is no hot tub on the property. I assume they’re talking about a shared hot tub somewhere at Crystal Mountain, which is located very close nearby. Also, the shower upstairs did not drain properly and there was water in it for five days. We did not report that since we got no satisfaction about the dishwasher. When we return home, we filed a claim with a Vacasa and Vrbo I spoke to Vacasa four times and Vrbo three times about the dishwasher claim. The Casa made an offer which we felt was not reasonable for a refund just today almost 2 1/2 weeks later after calling Vacasa again we were notified that the refund that we agreed upon was finally put through. Too much time has been taken on our behalf to remedy the situation through Vacasa even when I called them today, they told me that the determination had been made days and days ago, but Vacasa never notified me of their final attempt at a credit. Just make sure in the future if you rent through Vrbo, and it’s handled by a management company in Vrbo has no responsibility. Overall a nice place.

Awful experience

The house was not cleaned properly, was infested with fruit flies, had MOLDY food/trash in the downstairs bathroom, had no extra amenities like shower towels, blankets, or paper towels. The counters were not wiped down, dishwasher did not work. Beds were uncomfortable, cheap mattresses. The downstairs floor had some kind of polish on it that was so slippery it was unsafe to walk. In addition, when I called to get the fruit fly situation taken care of, they said a local maintenance person would come take care of it and call beforehand. That never happened. Their checkout/check in policy is completely ridiculous and unreasonable. So disappointed in this place and VRBO.
