La Siesta Apartment (lacalahonda.com) is located in a lovely quiet relaxing area of Calahonda, suitable for most singles, couples and small families looking for a great holiday on the Costa del Sol.

Our large apartment is in a small peaceful development and is packed with all the home comforts you need to enjoy your holiday in the sun.

The apartment has been recently decorated and has a large living/dining room, kitchen, and two well-appointed bedrooms with a bath/shower room. As with all holidays to Spain, most of your time is spent outdoors and we have a supersized balcony overlooking the gardens where you can dine, lounge, or sunbathe to your heart's content summer or winter.

There is air conditioning/heating throughout keeping you cool or warm no matter the time of year. We also have very fast fibreoptic wifi in the apartment, which also extends down to the gardens. Tv channels include Spanish, British, French, and German.

The gardens and pool are well maintained being tended to twice a week and give way to safe and relaxed surroundings in this gated community. There are many sunbeds available around the pool which is never crowded or noisy.

A children's play park is literally two mins walk from the apartment without the need to even cross the main road.

You are within walking distance of the superb beaches of Luna, Royal and Cabopino. There supermarkets(4), shops, newsagents, bars, restaurants and banks all within walking distance.

Close by are bus stops that take you east and west along the coast and are very inexpensive and run every thirty minutes.

The range of restaurants in the Calahonda area is fantastic. All serving the very best of food many of which we can personally recommend. Many restaurants are open year-round, making Calahonda a great place to visit at any time of year.

Cabopino beach and marina have many bars and restaurants, most of which are open all day for food and drinks, or just a coffee to sit and soak up the great atmosphere. The pristine "Andy's" beach is next to Cabopino which was made famous by the BBC tv programme Eldorado in the 90s.

Take a walk, jog, run along the new coastal boardwalk from Luna Beach to La Cala where you will find many friendly eating and drinking outlets along the way.

If you're looking to keep fit whilst on holiday, there are a few local gyms/tennis clubs that allow one day use for around €5/6 per day and are located at 'Club Del Sol' and 'McDonald Resort - Dona Lola' just a short walk from the apartment. The area also has a number of very good golf courses that can be reached by car or taxi, including the local course at La Siesta.

Lovely apartment with pool and garden
Lots of positives…. beautiful apartment with balcony overlooking the pool (which we were able to use in February) which was south-west facing so lots of sun. Spacious lounge area and good sized bedrooms. Fully equipped and furnished with everything you could need including lovely neighbours! Nice residential area within walking distance of the beach front and the strip of restaurants and eateries. We loved Andy’s bar on the beach (and live music) at nearby Cabopino with its charming marina and restaurants. The boardwalk extends 12km and is lovely for an afternoon stroll - our border terrier loved it and the beaches (dogs seem to be allowed in low season). The dunes at Cabopino were a good walk too. With a car you can visit the many golf clubs and local towns like Marbella, Calahonda and Benelmadena . A trip to Ronda was well worth it too. The only negative I can possibly find relates to taking our border terrier with us. The park that is right next to the apartment block would have been perfect but unfortunately it is all locked up and unused as I think they are developing land near it, so there was not somewhere close to pop out with the dog. There is unused land across the road which you can walk in but there is quite a bit of rubbish there. There are local walks in a small park and on more purpose made paths but you have to walk 15 mins or more to get to them.

Great place to stay
We spent a week there. We can highly recommand the apartment. It is excellently equipped, all what you need is there. The pool is great. Bars, restaurants, beach, supermarkets etc... all around, no long distance to walk! The communication with the owner was great. We were informed on time, all questions answered immediately. So really nothing to complain. We had a super week there!

La Siesta 111 Calahonda August 2017
Enjoyed two weeks at this lovely apartment. Very well equipped, very comfortable. The balcony was a lovely place to relax and unwind dining Al Fresco. The pool and gardens were very well maintained and very comfortable with sunbeds available. There were supermarkets and restaurants all within walking distance. The Owner James D was very helpful and gave us a lot of useful information. We would love to return in the near future.

A real home from home
I came here with my husband at the end of May. We had just the most brilliant week at La Siesta. It really is the perfect getaway. Our every need was catered for. Even although there is ample restaurants and bars nearby, the super full sized kitchen and facilities makes it so easy to cook a lovely meal and eat alfresco on the very spacious balcony. The apartment is also very well situated to go anywhere you want to on the Costa del Sol. Great transport links to enjoy days out in nearby resorts and Malaga. It really was the perfect home from home - away. I would highly recommend this apartment.

What a gem
This apartment was very clean and newly decorated as it has just had a new climate system fitted very well equipped too, some essential food items left over from the previous occupiers which was helpful Cala Honda has a few restaurants and bars and a short walk away. Everything you need!
The apartment has everything you need for a perfect self catering getaway in the sunshine! Very comfortable and sitting out on the balcony with a gin & tonic is a perfect end to a day by the pool. The pool and gardens are beautifully kept, are secure and are very quiet - we had the pool to ourselves most days. The apartment is in a lovely quiet residential part of Calahonda but yet not too far from amenities. There is plenty to do in Calahonda and you can easily get around either on foot or plenty of taxis. There are lots of places to eat all walking distance. Cabopino and La Cala are close by and recommended day trips by car/bus. The beach in Calahonda can be reached on foot is lovely and the board walk is easily accessible and an enjoyable walk along the coast.

Lovely La Siesta
Lovely apartment in a beautiful complex. Enjoyed chilling by the quiet pool each day within the well maintained Gardens. The Apartment is clean & tidy with spacious balcony. Great for relaxing in the evening before hitting the vast array of restaurants & bars. Beautiful beach was only a 10-15 min walk away. Will definitely return.

Highly reccomended
Could not fault this apartment. Had a fantastic stay here for a week. Excellent self catering facilities with everything you could need. This includes a good size kitchen with full utensils, microwave etc. Lots of fridge freezer space and living space in the living/dining room. As well as a large balcony with further living space for chilling out in the evenings. If you're like me and you like to feel like somewhere is you're home for your stay, this is the place for it. The resort its self is full of great restaurants and a few good bars. Lovely and friendly. 10 -15 mins walk to the beach max. Booking was straight forward and found making payment directly easy. Highly reccomended.

Superb Self Catering Apartment
SECOND VISIT! Superb, clean self catering apartment with everything you need and more. The apartment has a wonderful maintained garden, pool where we spent most of the holiday relaxing in the quiet surroundings. The apartment is located walking distance from the beach and main strip in Calahonda where you will find a wide range of different restaurant, shops and bars. We haired a car and found driving and accsessing many of the other attractions the Costa del Soll had to offer very easy, also noticed different public transport options for the non drivers.

Home from home with sunshine!
Apartment superb, clean & tidy with everything you need for self catering. Gardens & pool well maintained a pleasant way to relax after a day at the beach. Excellent location for families and couples alike with beaches, bars & restaurants all within walking distance, my favourite for eating DaVincis (Dona Lola) favourite for cocktails - The Harp Bar, Would recommend a stay here to one & all and hope to be back sooner rather than later.

Couldn't of been happier!

The apartment is the ideal escape to spend a long or short break as a couple, a family or a solo. Calahonda and the surrounding area has an abundance of things to see and do. Malaga, Seville, Gibraltar and the Sierra Nevada are all just a drive away.

We have fitted the apartment out with all that you would need for your holiday and more. Our recently installed climate control will keep you cool in the summer and warm on winter nights.

The apartment has recently been decorated from top to bottom with the addition of new furniture giving you that fresh clean feeling that you want on your long awaited break away.

Everything is on your doorstep in Calahonda, restaurants, bar, shopping, beaches, even skiing in the beautiful Sierra Nevada.

Getting to the apartment could not be easier. Just 25 mins by car from Malaga airport. Car Hire can be quite inexpensive through Auto Europe. There are inexpensive taxi/transfer firms we can refer you to once you have booked who offer deals throughout the year.

If you're looking for an active/sporty break, there are more golf courses on the Costa Del Sol than any other part of Europe and most are within a few miles of Calahonda. Nature walks, horse riding and quad biking is available in the surrounding area and hills.
