Welcome to Chicago! We're located 15 minutes from downtown Chicago, located in the Uptown neighborhood, near restaurants, super markets and a couple of blocks from the CTA Red Line train.

Our two level duplex (first floor and basement) is designed for your comfort with all the amenities you would need during your stay along with two free parking spots located in outdoor parking lot.

Perfect for a business trip, mini getaway, family vacation to relax and feel at home!

***AMENITIES:

I want to ensure everyone who stays at my place feels like they are at home and can settle right in, so I provide the following amenities to all my guests:

-Two dedicated outdoor parking spots

-Professionally designed space with modern furniture.

-My cleaners are professionally trained and follow a tightly regimented cleaning and sanitizing checklist.

-Fresh towels and linens that are laundered after each stay by cleaning staff

-Smart TV in the living room

-4 Bedrooms. Each bedroom has a large queen sized bed:
Master Bedroom - located on the first floor
3 Guest bedrooms - located in the lower level
1 Sofa bed - located in the lower level

-Brand new stainless steel appliances in the kitchen, including fridge, microwave, stove/oven range, dishwasher, coffee maker, tea kettle and toaster

-Fully Stocked Kitchen: dinnerware, utensils, cutlery, cutting board, drinking glasses, basic spices, pots & pans, wine opener, etc.

-Bathrooms are stocked with towels, toilet paper, and shampoo, conditioner, and body wash for your use. Each bathroom has a hair dryer.

-In unit washer and dryer
-Iron and ironing board
-Luggage rack and hangers

*** NEARBY TRANSPORTATION:

Our place is two blocks away from the Lawrence Red line train station, and equally convenient to the Broadway, Lawrence, and Ashland buses - it's almost more convenient to not have a car here!

If you do bring your car, however, there's a parking spot behind the building available for your use. Lake Shore Drive is close by for you to get to downtown quickly.

***DIVERSE NEIGHBOORHOOD:

Located in Uptown Neighborhood in Chicago- easily accessible by the CTA Red line Train (2 blocks walk to Lawrence subway station) and one block walk to Lawrence and Kenmore bus stop.

Uptown offers a unique blend of history and ethnic diversity. The Green Mill is a classic Jazz club that used to be a hangout spot for Al Capone, it is still popular to this day. This entertainment district is anchored by the Aragon Ballroom and Riviera Theatre which are bustling with shows through the weekend.

Argyle is one block away. If you believe in eating where the locals eat, Argyle is most certainly the place to go; this is authentic cooking, with no tourist traps to be found. Vietnamese restaurants and bakeries are the most plentiful, with various disciplines of Chinese food a respectable second, and Thai restaurants. There are even Ethiopian, Lebanese, Indian cuisine options.

***COMMUNICATION:

We are available by phone throughout your stay. You can simply call or text if you have any questions. Please note that there maybe delayed response times during after hours between 10pm-8am.

***Other things to note:

-We will try our best, but Early Check-Ins and Late Check-Outs are difficult to accommodate, especially during the summer. If you need additional time, please consider booking an extra day.

-No parties, noise or loud music. We have cancelled reservations due to complaints in the past.

-Quiet hours must be observed from 10pm to 8am

-No smoking. In the event that the unit is smoked in, there will be an automatic $500 cleaning & deodorizing fee applied.

-Guest should be mindful to not run or walk hard in the apartment to not disturb other tenants.

-Local guests are permitted to book on an exception basis only. Local groups looking to use the property for a party, gathering or other group event are expressly prohibited and your reservation will be canceled.

-Bath towels are provided per number of guests not per number of stay
-We have duvet covers on our beddings (no top sheets).
-A Security Deposit may be required on some bookings.
-If there's an issue during your stay, please report it real time so we can address it right away.

-Pets are allowed: Small Dogs or Cats at $50 per pet, per stay

Family Chicago Trip 2024

Our VRBO host was AMAZING! She answered all my questions quickly and put my mind at ease as it was my first VRBO stay. The pictures in the listing were very accurate to the house. I would highly recommend staying at this location!!!!

A hidden gem

Great communication with the owner and she was very responsive. This 4 bedroom unit was everything it was advertised. Very clean and close to downtown Chicago. My grandbabies loved the playground across the street. The parking for our two cars was awesome. Would definitely stay here again.

Great family space

This was such a great space for a family vacation. We had 3 couples and a one year old, and the living room(s) and kitchen/dining gave us more then enough space to relax and spread out. The host also provides a super cute child tent and toys for playtime. Having 2 parking spots was so helpful also. Plenty of towels in the bathrooms and kitchen was stocked with supplies. Super easy to access and communicate with the host. Would definitely recommend!

Just what we needed and a great host!

This site was spacious and clean, situated in the Uptown area near historic music theatre area, the small Asian town with great bakeries and restaurants as well as an easy walk to Andersonville. I would be thoughtful about walking alone in the early hours (which is true in all unfamiliar places) but felt very safe during the day and evenings with many people about. The host, Joan, went above and beyond with communication and the small amenities, including enough towels, extra blankets, coffee, snacks, pancake mix and even water/soda/beer in the fridge. I would stay there again with the number of people we had but would also look for other properties managed by Joan.

This was my initial rental experience with Vrbo, and Joan exhibited remarkable professionalism and composure throughout the entire application process. Our visit to Chicago was delightful, and the comfortable beds provided an ideal refuge after an exciting day of exploring the city. In general, the trip was enjoyable, and the cozy beds offered an excellent way to relax after a long day of sightseeing. Chicago Family Stay

The two level unit was spacious, well maintained and adequately furnished. The kitchen/eating area was fully functional for the group of eight we had and was the center of a lot of our activities. The lower level bedrooms were well isolated from the upstairs activities. The location of the unit was convenient, with many stores and restaurants within walking distance.

Family reunion

Fantastic location, spacious spacious spacious home, well stocked, super-host par excellence. Our 2 dogs and 8 family members were super comfortable. Communication with Joan was an absolute breeze. Spacious for the eight of us. Clean and well kept. Cute play area for kids. Host was attentive and easy to communicate with Kitchen had some standard cooking supplies: spices, oil, coffee, sugar and salt/pepper. Parking was off street, but be careful and look at photo image for parking spaces. Not well marked and easy to get wrong one. Only other thing to be aware of is temperature difference between basement and first floor. Basement bedrooms are much colder than first floor (which is usual for basements). I slept in warmer room and would have liked the colder room. Just something to know when assigning who goes where. We would stay here again.

Great Experience

This place was great and 100% as advertised. Our host couldn't have been more accommodating, from stocking the pantry with coffee and a few other things, to leaving us a thoughtful thank you gift. Just top notch. The parking is tighter than the "two spaces" suggest, which can be an issue with bigger cars, and the street is permit parking after 6. But with our host's help, we made it work, so all good. Would definitely stay there again.

There was a bug in the first downstairs bedroom, a spider in the 2nd downstairs bedroom, plants had a layer of dust on them, cobwebs in kitchen near the ceiling vent and a streak of something brown that was running down the wall. Think you might need a new cleaning company

Great VRBO stay

This was the most comfortable VRBO property that we have ever stayed. Immaculate, tastefully decorated, comfortable beds, well thought out amenities. Although not listed in the description, there is a pack and play as well as an umbrella stroller available. My teenagers had plenty of space to spread out. The THREE full baths made it so easy! My little one had a great time in the basement playing with the small assortment of toys. Property owner was very communicative. Although there are 2 parking spaces available with this property, that was TIGHT with our minivan, as there are other properties sharing the same small lot. We so enjoyed our stay and hope to book there again soon.

Great location and for a group of 8.

We had a great stay at Joan's place. The location was perfect for the event we were attending. She was communicative from the start. She gave great directions on how to check in. The bedrooms were big and the three showers were enough for the 7 of us. The beds were comfortable. They were a little squeaky but that's about the worse thing. The kitchen has everything you would need. Even some coffee, condiments, and seasoning. My only recommendation would be to get a smart lock so that a key doesn't hold others staying there.
