About this property

Our condo is spacious and comfortable. We have a car that you can use while you’re there, too. The kitchen is fully stocked. It has everything you need for your stay, except for your personal items. It is very quiet and secluded with wildlife often visible from the back lanai, which is also the perfect place for breakfast or dinner. The condo is open and airy with ceiling fans when the trade winds are not blowing. It is the perfect size for a couple or a family with one or two young children. The tennis courts and pool area are just a few steps away.

Marvelous Molokai

Our stay at Ke Nani Kai was fabulous. The unit is secluded, quiet and so private. Access to the tennis courts and pool area were so convenient. As well, the use of the unit's car sure made the trip easy. The only downside was the flight cancellations on and off Molokai without any notice. Hopefully that gets sorted out in the near future. We will return!

Relax on quiet Molokai

Our visit to Molokai provided a different perspective of Hawaii from the other more popular tourist islands we have visited. The people of Molokai have worked to keep insulated from the trappings of tourism found throughout Hawaii. Our visit was quiet, as the resort condominium was only 20% full. The condo itself allowed the breezes to flow through the living spaces, eliminating any need for air conditioning. The community pool was outstanding. Most beaches were empty. Molokai is a great getaway for solitude. Grocery shopping was twenty miles away and the prices were higher than on other islands. Overall, we enjoyed our visit because we were seeking a different view from what we have experienced on other Hawaiian islands.

Molokai deal!

This was the second time I stayed at Patti's property. It's an easy weekend trip from the Big Island! I knew what to expect, and was even pleasantly surprised that the unit was even cleaner than my visit last year. Of course having a car included is a real bonus, and it's nice to have a vehicle that doesn't look like a 'tourist car', so you don't stand out like a sore thumb while exploring. I love this place, and will be returning again soon

Happy Lazy Days

Laid-back and rural Molokai might not be for everyone, but for me, especially in this condo, was heaven. The decor of the unit is nicely tropical, with all the comforts of home, for cooking and chilling. The bed was great, the deck offered shade and sun all day long, and the shore is a 5-minute walk away, for brilliant sunrises and sunsets. Proximity to the tennis/pickleball courts is convenient, and the pool area terrific, offering shade, grill, hot tub and library. Friendly folks. Though many units in the area are available via VRBO, I'm so glad I chose this -- and not only because of the use of the Accord. But also the host's kindness, friendliness and responsiveness. Any return trip to Molokai would be here. Mahalo, Patty!

Moloka'i retreat

Having stayed in another unit previously, we were familiar with the Ke Nani Kai area and drawn to this particular unit with the amazing inclusion of a car. We were not disappointed, as the property is as advertised and was the perfect place for our getaway. Beautiful beaches are a short walk away and the condo was the perfect place to relax and enjoy the laid back beauty of Moloka'i.

Communication with owner: excellent. Resort: lovely. Proximity to beautiful beaches: can’t be beat! Car included: great deal. This unit : tired and needs maintenance. I would definitely stay in this resort again, just not in this suite.

Nice time in Molokai

As Advertised

It is a great location! Very quiet when we were there with only a short walk to the beaches & gorgeous sunset viewing. We very much enjoyed our stay. Yes, it is dated, but for the price (includes a car! What?! 😄) & location you really shouldn’t expect new/fully renovated. We will be back (& for longer)! Thanks Patti for sharing your Molokai home.

Mixed feelings

This unit was affordable and has benefits if you are a casual laid back kind of person. Pros: Convenient location near beach, in nice area. Owner was responsive to communications and refunded our money. Car is a great benefit. Sounds of nature, and wildlife visiting around balcony, which felt private. Counters were clean. Kitchen had almost everything one needs. Cons: Unit really needs a deep cleaning, there was grungy feel to many furniture items, and cabinets. Inner shower curtain was mildewy. Carpets were not well vacuumed. Many bugs, termites in abundance at night, which i am told is seasonal....Utility closet was a mess and smelly. Both blenders were broken. We weren't comfortable there and ended up moving.

Paradise

The condo was comfortable and very well stocked. The pool was recently refinished and is beautiful. There is a nice beach within a short walk. The island is amazing and the people are friendly. If you want a place to unwind and relax, this condo is it. Thank you Patti!

Great Vacation

The trip was at the relaxed pace of what you would expect on Molokai, nice and slow. When we arrived at the condo there were four Peacocks guarding the front door, but they quickly departed. The trade winds kept us cool through the screened doors and the sound of the trees at night was very relaxing. The beaches are not crowded and most of the time we would be the only people on the beach. If you are looking for an experience of a Hawaii from the 50's or 60's with modern convenience, then this is a great spot to visit. When traveling to Molokai almost everything is closed on Sunday, including grocery stores and Taxi service. There are people who will provide rides to/from the airport for a fee. The car provided with our rental drove great. Overall, our trip was great and the communication with Patty, the owner, was excellent.

Perfect getaway, all as expected

Great location for a remote getaway. Be aware that you'll need to plan for your meals as there are not a lot of options out on the west side of the island. Unit was in a good location on the property with a nice "backyard" area and close to the pool, plus an easy exit for the short walk to the beaches. All appliances that I used were clean and in good working order. Fantastic bonus was the use of the car for the stay. Car is a later model and proved very reliable (and good gas mileage - important if you're running into the main town regularly). Only caveat is that if you plan to do some off-the-beaten-path exploring, you may want to rent a jeep for a day trip or something - I wouldn't subject this car to the demands of many of the non-paved roads on this island (nor do I think the owner would want that). Only nitpick I have is that the lanai furniture could use some maintenance - re-webbing on the chairs. All-in-all, exactly what I was expecting for a remote getaway. Thumbs up!

Waves, Sunsets, and the Bliss of Not Much More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The reviews will inform you that the unit is dated and it is. However, it is comfortable, safe, clean, and has everything one could want for a great start to a super vacation. It reminded me of homes I visited as a kiddo when I visited my family on other Islands. A short walk and you will find your self on a nearly deserted beach. The evening entertainment begins with beautiful sunsets and is followed by a stunning view of an amazing night sky. Miss Patti is the easiest to work with. She responds quickly and does everything in her power to accommodate her renters. We had the most relaxing time and our time here was just what we needed.

An excellent value!

Although the property could use a few updates, it was clean, well-stocked with necessities in kitchen and bathroom, and most importantly, close to the most amazing beaches you'll ever see! The fact that it includes a vehicle makes it a stellar value! Patti answered all my questions, and was flexible with my check-out time when my flight left later in the day.

Serene island location

This is a well equipped condo in a quiet complex. Just steps from the pool and with a nice sunny Lana. The outdoor furniture could be updated but an overall lovely place to stay.

Very relaxing

As others have mentioned some updates would be nice (new screen doors) however the condo served our needs. The lanai, overlooking the yard, was great. The pool and library was appreciated and of course the short walk to the beach was our favorite part.

Relaxing stay with car

Smooth stay to Molokai at a nice clean condo with car. Host Patti was very easy to work with. It was great to have a car to explore the island as well as get groceries, etc. We enjoyed the excellent beach within easy walking distance as well as clean pool area right next to the condo. Bird watching from the deck was fun. Loved the open layout of the condo and everything was really comfortable. Thanks!!

perfect location for a secluded getaway, not a cultural experience

The property is in one of several clusters of condos in the area ranging in utility/upkeep from boarded up to well worn and functional to very up-kept. This unit was in a tended to condo area in that the grounds were lovely and the shared space more than comfortable. The condo unit itself was worn/dated (the sliding doors were very difficult to slide and the entire unit could use a deep clean and a few updates) but highly functional. The lanai was lovely and private. The exposed beams and general layout of the unit is great. The location within the complex and access to the beach by foot were priceless. The use of the car was a huge asset to this rental. The owner was very helpful and we would love to stay again (perhaps in exchange for a deep clean??). We stocked paper towels and TP. Though there was a roll of each when we arrived, we did not want to leave the unit without. We also contributed cooking oil, coffee (as the previous tenants had) and laundry soap. The owner hooked us up with a ride from the aeroport which was very thoughtful. On the balance, I would highly recommend this unit.
