Modern mountain cabin.
We were five family members and two well behaved pugs. We loved the decor and how spacious it seemed. The fireplace was great as was the kitchen(stocked with everything you need to cook.) The beds were comfortable too. It is a short walk to the Alpine Slide which is fun and a short walk to a market. The drive into the Village is quick. We loved our stay and hope to be back. Captains Anchorage on Moonridege rd. was a wonderful place to have a celebration dinner.

Amazing Cabin
I have stayed at this property a few times over the years and absolutely love it. Elle is an amazing host and keeps the property in tip top shape. It’s beautifully renovated and has an amazing deck and yard with a high end jacuzzi. Can’t wait to go back!

Amazing Cabin
We stayed at the Dream Cabin for 2 nights over Super Bowl Weekend. There were 4 of us. Myself, a friend and my twin 6 year olds. The cabin was perfect. We arrived about an hour and a half before checkin and my daughter wasn’t feeling well after the winding roads coming up the mountain. I messaged the owner to see if we could check in a little early and she responded right away saying it was ok for us to go into the house early. The house is immaculate. The kitchen is stocked with all the utensils, cook ware, Keurig with pods, hot chocolate, and even some microwave popcorn. The jacuzzi was even already warmed up. The beds are very comfortable. I slept better than at home. It is walking distance to Alpine Slide and Big Bear Brewery. Everything is new and modern. We went tubing at Alpine Slide and to the Big Bear zoo. The only thing that would have made the stay better was if there had been snow in the town. The whole reason for the trip was to take my twins to the snow for the first time and there was only the snow made by the snow machines at the tubing places and snow summit. There are 3 new smart TV’s. We were able to enjoy the Super Bowl on a large tv which I could log in to my YouTube Tv acct. the apps are already on the tv’s. My kids favorite part of the whole trip was swimming in the Jacuzzi together. The owner is very responsive. I sent her a couple messages during the stay and she replied within 5 minutes. It really is a DREAM cabin!

We all loved it!
We stayed at Ellie's Dream Cabin in late January to celebrate our 70th birthdays & 46th anniversary. Our son, daughter-in-law, & 6-year-old granddaughter joined us for two of our three nights. We were thoroughly impressed by the cabin and amenities. The great room and kitchen were particularly wonderful and conducive to a very special weekend. We had so much fun at the Alpine Slide and lunch at Big Bear Mountain Brewery, both very close to the cabin. Thank you, Ellie, for making Dream Cabin available.

Lovely Cabin
Been to Big Bear several times and this place has been my favorite thus far. Super clean and I loved the big kitchen. Plenty of room for the 7 of us. Would stay here again if I am back that way.

We were pleasantly surprised by the size of this place. Much bigger than the photos suggest. So cozy and clean. We loved having the fireplace on watching movies. We loved the hot tub and the beds were super comfortable. Location wise it’s super close to everything so a great spot and would totally book it again. We weren’t put off by the messy neighbors because I don’t think they were even home so it was lovely and quiet !

We stopped in Big Bear to visit with some friends that live in the area. It was the last stop on a 28 day road trip with our dogs. We had stayed in seven vacation rentals on this trip and Ellie’s house was the most welcoming, clean, and comfortable out of all of them! It just felt really relaxing to not have to worry and think of how things might not be cleaned properly. The bed was comfortable, kitchen was well equipped, the yard was small but did the trick. The neighborhood is really walkable and we enjoyed daily walks looking at all of the other cabins, mansions, and houses. Ellie was really kind and responsive to our questions. 10/10 on this one!! End of Summer Big Bear Family Trip
Great/super welcoming host, adorable cozy cabin in a very accessible location. Cabin was very clean, organized, comfortable and spacious for our family of 4 plus two pups. Had everything we needed for the stay. We cooked a lot in the kitchen and I was very grateful for all of the kitchen items, plus more, that were available to us. Neighborhood was very quiet during our time of the stay, can walk to grab food near by and the kids loved being so close to Boulder Bay for lake swimming and Alpine slide/magic mountain for a fun morning. Thanks Ellie!

Our stay at the Dream Cabin went well beyond our expectations. The pictures don’t do it justice, the space is absolutely gorgeous with a very high vaulted ceiling. The kitchen is beautiful and stocked with everything you need to cook or grill. There are plenty of board games ready to play. The jacuzzi would comfortably fit 6 people. The bed and sheets were the softest and fluffiest we’ve ever had on a vacation stay. We finally found an amazing pet friendly property we could enjoy with our puppy. We will absolutely book again and recommend to our friends. Thank you Ellie!

Stayed at the cabin for two nights on our way down to San Diego. Very clean, kitchen had everything you may need to cook a meal. Ample space for 5 people and 2 dogs. There is no AC but you get a nice cross breeze by opening all the windows.

Fourth of July getaway
Always wanted to see the fireworks over the lake. This property was a short distance from the marina where my boat is. The house is very modern, with many great details. The neighborhood was quite and peaceful.
