The air was so fresh and clean. The lake a mild and calm body of water. The sounds were so relaxing to ones soul. Just a wonderful place to stay. Easy access to necessities, gas and food.
Excellent local honey and maple syrup!
Nice cabin for 4 people. There are 2 bedrooms with queen beds and a room with bunk bed but seating for meals and games only for 4 people
Nice outside area with patio couch and some chairs
Mark was super nice and helpful
We cruised the lakes (fishing wasn’t great in august) we caught a few fish
Took the kayaks out and saw a bunch of wildlife ( river otters, eagles, herons, loons, turtles and a porcupine))
There’s no real bike trail close but we rode in neighborhoods along the lake and it was pretty
Antigo has many shops and things to do
Overall a great stay and would recommend it!
Cabin was perfect. Two rooms downstairs and loft upstairs. Central air was nice for the hot weather. Cabin had everything you need, in case you forget something. Washer and dryer was nice. Cabin in between 2 large lakes, fun for fishing and boating or just relaxing. Mark was a great host, made sure everything was up to par.
Great property!! We enjoyed our stay here. We were also able to have a pontoon tied to the dock to do some fishing on the lake, and enjoying hanging out on the sandbars as well. We are planning a return trip to this location!!
House was everything we could ask for on a long weekend for a fishing trip - 4 adults in total. Mark was a pleasure to work with from check-in to check out. House was very clean, plenty of seating along with everything one could need to cook with. After our morning and afternoons of fishing, we enjoyed coming back to the deck out of the sun to enjoy the stories of the day and many laughs. Also enjoyed the fireplace right on the deck. Fishing in both upper and lower post were very good – main fish caught through the weekend was the pike with a couple of largemouth scattered in. Would certainly return in the future without question.
Very clean, comfortable, newly updated. Comfortable beds, great sheets, well stocked with all the basics- dishes, utensils, cookware, etc, coffee filters, spice rack, dish soap, laundry soap, towels etc. also the comforts of home and didn’t have to buy everything! Also, an abundance of firewood! Thanks for everything! We had a lovely time! Only thing I can say is we wished the neighbor’s privacy fence offered a better view of the lake. Still the best cabin we’ve stayed at though!
We had a great time staying here - the property is exactly as described with plenty of room for 3 adults and 2 small kids. Mark, the owner, is very easy to get in touch with when we did have a couple questions. The cabin is newly updated, kitchen is stocked with the basics and pretty much all you need to cook during your stay; we stayed 5 nights and cooked all our meals. Ample cold/pantry storage for whatever food you want to bring. Views were beautiful and fishing was amazing thanks to a great tip on location on Upper Post Lake - gills, crappie, perch, walleye, etc. Bald eagles even joined us one day on the water. Overall just a spectacular area, and great location with the cabin set off of the main channel, which, on a Saturday, does see a lot of no-wake boat traffic.
A couple minor things I would note, bedrooms have dressers but no night stands or table lamps so I had to stack pillows so I could have somewhere to place phone (clock) and glasses. A table lamp in living room area for at night would be nice so you don't have to keep the bright overhead lights on. And dining table only seats 4 and is a high top so not ideal for little ones, maybe a coffee table or something would help. Otherwise, just a great time, and we would definitely be back.
This home was the nicest cabin we have stayed in for our annual trip to the area (we have stayed somewhere new for 5 years). The cabin is spacious and we loved the queen over queen bunk bed and remodeled kitchen. AC worked great, washer and dryer, and internet was a plus! We were able to reach Mark easily and he had great hospitality. We had good luck catching bluegill off the dock and it is a short walk to the other side of the dam where they were even more plentiful. The beds were VERY comfortable which you don't find often.
Host was incredibly responsive to a few queries that we had. Great setting and house. A little tight for 5 adults in the winter time, but close to a lot of great outdoor activities.
We loved the time we spent at this cabin. All the immenities were clean and accessible. Bed in loft area was a touch firm for our tastes but nevertheless comfortable.
My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend. We had a great time. The cabin was beautiful and clean. We brought the boat and ATV. We fished and road the trails. The bed in the loft was so comfortable!! We will definitely be back.
Amazing stay at this beautiful place! The cabin is well updated and we were able to enjoy many of the amenities. We made use of the grill and fire place outside as well as lots of fishing off the dock! A great place for a family vacation!
