About this property

CLASSIC ANDALUSIAN VILLA, SURROUNDED BY ORANGE TREES, FOUNTAINS. PRIVATE POOL.

Welcome to this two-hundred-year-old traditional country house, which for many years has been in the hands of a local family. Their warmth and the passing of their family history, told with love from parents to children, is captured in their rooms.
Being only 300 metres from Órgiva, it is a pleasant walk of less than five minutes from town. The walk leads us to the automatically opening main gate, which when opened shows us luxuriant gardens. Ancient cypresses, orange trees and other fruit trees (grapefruit, persimmon, quince, plum, avocado, lemons and mandarins) stand majestically with Sierra Lújar as a backdrop. Ornamental plants, geraniums, rose bushes and hibiscus paint the gardens with colours. Two mill wheels, a water trough and the sound of the irrigation canal running along the side of the farm remind us of the agricultural character of the fertile Guadalfeo valley.
The pool will immediately catch your attention! It is delightfully located and invites you to a relaxing dip—the blue of the water contrasts pleasantly with the greenery and colours of the garden. At night it surprises with a show of colour since it is equipped with multi-colour LED lighting. A fountain with water lilies completes the scene to make your sunbathing doubly relaxing.
Beyond the pool is the delightful gazebo with a central table and chairs for seven people to enjoy outdoor lunches. It also has some armchairs where everyone can relax comfortably. An ornamental fountain surrounded by stone benches completes the relaxed atmosphere of this outdoor space that will undoubtedly be the main focus of your family vacation.
You access the interior through the main entrance and in the foyer you’ll find vestiges of past times. The floor proudly shows off its traditional tiles, the ceiling beams and the antique mirrored sideboard give us a hint of the classic essence of the house.
From the foyer we access the living room, not an overly large space, as is the Alpujarra tradition, but extremely cozy and agreeable. Here the traditional decor of the house is more evident—an antique sideboard displays local ceramics and brass utensils on the mantelpiece give old world character.
Through an arch in its wide walls is access to the kitchen. Although old traditional kitchen utensils are on display, the kitchen is more practical and adapted to current needs. It is equipped with the modern appliances that we usually have in our homes.
The owners invite you to taste the wines of their own harvest, a bottle of white wine and another of red await you upon arrival courtesy of the charming Angelina. For those who wish to repeat the experience, more bottles are available in the kitchen with a self-payment method (honesty box).
On this same floor is a complete bathroom with a shower, laid out in the same practical style.
The stairs lead you to the first floor, to a hall that gives access to the different rooms. The master bedroom with a double bed has a large window and typical wrought iron ‘rejas’.
Also on this floor is another double bedroom with two single beds, a complete bathroom in white with a shower, the laundry room and access to a sunny terrace. This terrace (which may also be accessed from the outside) is perfect for enjoying an aperitif, taking in the views of the garden and the swimming pool.
Returning to the interior of the house, you go up to the second floor where there are two more bedrooms: one single and the other double with two single beds. Also on this floor is a WC and a magnificent games room. The games room has a spectacular window that floods the room with light. It houses a very well stocked library, board games, fireplace, television with access to Netflix and a PlayStation PS4 Pro that will delight the little ones, and the not so young . . .
From here, more stairs lead to the sun terrace that offers impressive views of the Andalusian landscape that surrounds the house.

A splendid, large property in a convenient and quiet location
The website material is very accurate and the hosts, Jose and Angelina, were great. The house sits in a very pleasant and private garden with a large pool. There’s a large garage to keep the car from the sun. It’s a short walk into town for the shops and bars. We had a great time there.

The best finca in Orgiva
We stayed early may in Villa Adelaide and had a wonderful time in and around the house. The garden is even better than in all the pictures. The oranges were each morning fresh from the trees. Orgiva is ideal for trips to the Alpajurra pueblos blancos, Granada and even the Costa Tropical. Gracias to Angelina y José for the welcome with flowers, bread, water, wine ..... Even our Bordercollie was very welcomeand had fun in the garden. Hasta la vista from Patrick y Peggy and Nookie

Lovely quiet villa, full of character, perfect
My wife and I stayed here for a week, arriving on the 9 March. Antonio was really good at keeping in touch throughout the booking process. We were greeted by Jose and Angelina who were both very welcoming and showed us around everything the house and garden had to offer. We especially loved all the fresh citrus fruit and herbs - made a nice change from what we are able to grow back home in Manchester! The homemade wine and olive oil was also a really lovely touch. The villa itself is really well equipped and was perfect for the two of us but there is plenty of space for a bigger group too. The wood burner was a great feature as the nights can be a bit chilly on the hillside even though we were lucky to have warm weather for our entire stay. The town itself is in easy walking distance and makes an ideal base for a relaxing stay - plenty of nice cafes and restaurants, plus the church in the centre of town is really picturesque. It's also ideally located for sightseeing in Granada etc. We used it as a base for exploring the Sierra Nevada on our bikes and it was perfect for that - so many great, quiet roads and not a pothole in sight! We have already made plans to come back again, perhaps in late summer/early autumn. Thank you so much to Antonio, Jose and Angelina for making our stay so relaxing.

What’s not to like .? Perfect Villa, beautiful garden.
A perfect house in a beautiful setting on the edge of an “ interesting “ town which has all the necessary facilities. There are many walks from the town or jump in a car and the area abounds with places , walks , to see and do.

Warm, welcome and beauiful Villa Adeleida!
We, a couple from the Netherlands, stayed in Villa Adeleida in Oktober 2018. On arrival Angelina and José Carrascosa Perez (the parents from Antonio) were there to welcome us and toke all the time to show us the hole of Villa Adeleida (it is big!). They are wonderful and warm people! As a welcome they brought us apples, lemons, tomatos, peppers, kilo’s of the most lovely grapes, oliveoil and 2 bottles of wine (when your traveling by car: you can also buy some to take home). All very tasting and outstanding quality from their farm in Pampaneira. And organic! We never had such a warm welcome anywhere! Villa Aleida in Orgiva is there familyhouse since generations. Therefore it is authentic and a real house. There is a well fitted (and clean!) kitchen, a woodburning stove, 2 modern updated bathrooms with a lot of hot water in the shower, and a good bed and pillows. The nights are dark and full of silence; we slept like a rose. Outside there is a beautiful garden with all the different fruits Orgiva has to offer and we were allowed to take and eat what we wanted. The 2 old avocadotrees were amazing! Then the lovely pool with beds to lay in the sun and a very big schaded area where we had wonderful meals. Walking to the centre of Orgiva is only 10 minutes and oh, yes, also very important: Villa Aleida has very fast working internet to! Villa Aleida has everything you want in a home away from home. It has a wonderful atmosphere (witch is only possible with such sympathic owners), it is clean and taken good care off. There is no doubt we will go back to Villa Adeleida next time!! Tolle Unterkunft, sehr gutes Preis/Leistungs Verhältnis

A Beautiful Place to Stay
Just returned from a relaxing weeks stay in Villa Adelaida. There was a warm welcome from Jose and Angelina making us feel like friends already. They showed us round and tried to explain about the villa(not easy as our Spanish was limited). The position of the villa is on a quiet road just outside the village this enables you to have a quiet stress free holiday. The property is well secured allowing you to leave items on display when you are not around. The kitchen was well equipped with a good supply of oranges and lemons,we made lemonade and a lemon sorbet, very refreshing. The nearest bar is a 5 minute walk.10 minutes to the main square where there is a good selection of shops and restaurants serving tapas and good quality Spanish food.We relaxed in the summer house dipping in and out of the pool. Trips were taken to Bourbon and Pampaneira, the Sierra Nevada mountains were a beautiful sight with snow on top. Good wi-fi throughout the property. We were sorry we had to leave and the parting gift of Oregano was an extra special touch from Antonios parents. Thank you for a lovely holiday would love to return soon. Angela Steve Lynne and Ian

PARADISE- DIDN'T WANT TO LEAVE
There are some many good things to say about this villa that it is hard to know where to start. We received a warm welcome from Jose & Angelina(owners parents). It was as though we were coming home & not just staying at a holiday villa. They showed us the house with such love for the property that we feel in love with it ourselves. The kitchen was the best equipped we have ever stayed at. It was a lovely touch to have bread , milk , a large supply of oranges(we had fresh orange juice every morning) & lemons (for the obligatory Gin & Tonic), a supply of there own olive oil & most importantly a supply of the most delicious organic wine with the most tranquil of gardens to enjoy it in. We were quite content to relax in the garden of evening. We had to force ourselves to venture further. The pool is just perfect to cool down in on a hot day. Thank you for a memorable stay. Thank you Angelina for your parting gift (their own oregano), I will try to do it justice in my next spag bol.! Des, Lily & Matthew Kavanagh

Amazing place to stay. We loved every minute.
Villa Adelaida is amazing. A beautiful and well equipped house with lovely gardens and a well maintained pool. We received a warm welcome from the owners with some lovely additional little touches like a fire lit for us when we arrived as it was a sunny but chilly evening and some delicious locally produced wine. The villa was fully equipped with everything we could possibly need and the wonderful views from the roof terrace were amazing. The little traditional town of Órgiva is just a few minutes walk from the villa, providing small shops, bars and restaurants. We explored the Alpujarras region with it’s little whitewashed villages and magnificent mountains. Highly recommended. In addition the coast is within easy reach too. We spent much of our time however relaxing in the beautiful surroundings of Villa Adelaida We would certainly return and would recommend it to others

An idyllic villa.
A beautiful secluded villa surrounded by the mountains of the Alpujarras and the snow capped Sierra Nevada yet only a ten minute walk into the little town of Orgiva. With a lovely pool set in delightful grounds it made for perfect holiday. The house is equipped with everything you could possibly need and we can't wait to go back. What a place! Brian and Jill

Perfect, Authentic, Spanish Retreat in Granada Province
We had a perfect week, staying in Antonio's house. If you are looking for the "real" Spain, then this is it. Authentic old village house, in a perfect location, with every possible convenience. The owner has thought of every detail, from shower gel and shampoo, to bread, and wine from Antonio's parents finca near Pampaneira. The gardens are a delight, with more colour than we have ever seen in a holiday rental, with lemons, oranges, kumquats, and lemonquats which are great in a Gin & Tonic! Antonio's parents, José and Angelina, who look after the house, are really special people, attentive and friendly, and will go out of their way to help. (Practice your Spanish!) We had one of the best holidays in Spain ever, and were sad to leave. We would love to return one day.

The best holiday home we had in the last 25 years! Very quiet location and all shopping possibilities within walking distance (about 10 minutes). Total relaxation! Perfect !
The property is beautiful, particularly the gardens, the pool and the outdoor seating areas. Very well equipped with comfy beds and everything you could hope for in a very well equipped kitchen, and was absolutely spotlessly clean when we arrived. We were made very welcome by the owners Jose and Angelina, who are utterly charming, very kind and very helpful they made our stay something special with the attention to detail and their generosity. Its a very short walk to the town of Orgiva with many very good places to eat (in particular we liked the Moroccan restaurant, just off the main square in the town) if you don't want to self cater, but the town has several small but well stocked supermarkets too. A beautiful region of Spain, Villa Adelaida is a perfect base from which to explore, would love to return sometime in the future! Special thanks also to Antonio, who dealt with our booking and was also very helpful, always responding to any questions we had very quickly.

5 Star holiday, somewhere to totally recharge your batteries, can't wait to go back
We have just returned from a wonderfully relaxing week at Villa Adelaida. It is a beautiful place, the house itself has everything you need, The bedrooms are nice and the beds reasonably comfortable. It is well insulated from the outdoor heat so didn't need the fans etc. Plenty of bathroom space and a good, well equipped kitchen. But it is the outdoor space that really makes this property special. Excellent outdoor eating/seating/relaxing area with fruit trees aplenty... Freshly squeezed orange juice and loads of lemons for the obligatory Gin and Tonics. The pool is a good size (but not fenced off securely so could be an issue if visiting with small children). Good places to eat and drink in the town... Particularly recommend Molinas. Jose and Angelina met us at the start and end of the week and were lovely.. Coping admirably with tour pretty non existant Spanish, explaining everything we needed to know about the place. A big thank you to them and Antonio for letting us stay at their beautiful villa. Definitely recommended!
