About this property

Bluebonnet Lodge, A Relaxing Cabin in the Forest.

Bluebonnet Lodge is at the end of a quiet country road, but still within city limits and just a few minutes from all the restaurants and activities it has to offer, a great place for a family get together. Stay at the cabin and watch the deer under the trees or go to the lake, the golf course, Beavers Bend State Park or the Ouachita Nationa Forest.

The master bedroom with a king size bed and private full bathroom is on the ground floor. The two queen bedrooms upstairs each have their own full bathrooms. On the ground floor the second family room/bunkroom now has two new bunkbeds, twins over Queens (the twins have a 175 lb weight limit). Both bunkbeds also have comfortable pullout twin size trundle beds, all together the cabin sleeps 14. The bunkroom has three sofas, high ceilings and views of the surrounding forest in three directions. With beautiful wood floor space, it features a shuffleboard table, a card table and a large screen tv. It has a door to the deck where the hot tub is, and double doors to the rest of the house.

The kitchen is fully stocked with all the cookware, appliances and tableware needed for large family cooking. The laundry room and a half bath are off the kitchen, as is the covered back deck where there is a gas grill and outdoor furniture, and a large hot tub. A customized playset in the back yard has swings, a slide and climbing wall.

The large firepit, with plenty of outdoor seating surrounded by some cool old totem poles, is in the center of a circular drive, making a safe and great place for a starry evening around a big camp fire.

Just over half a mile from the highway in the Northern Hills area, Bluebonnet Lodge is a quiet place for a relaxing stay, close to all the fun activities that Hochatown, Broken Bow Lake and Beavers Bend State Park has to offer. 1.8 miles from off highway riding in the Ouachita National Forest, and 1.4 miles to Golf Course Road.

We really enjoyed our time at the cabin. The out door play area was a huge success. The space in the cabin was exceptional. Very close to town and convenient. Absolutely beautiful.

Great Location
This cabin was in the perfect area of the forest, so many trees, it felt secluded! The amenities were top notch! Very clean. We had a good time with the family. The only complaint we had was the road is awful once you get down closer to thw drive of the cabin. I was driving a Jeep Cherokee and it hit bottom a couple of times, my husband did fine as he was in a big pick-up! Overall, I'd book this cabin again! 100% recommend.

Everything we needed was provided. Really nice stay. Kids loved the playground space. We would stay again. The only negative is the road to the property was BAD!

Great place, but…
Loved the house. We had a great stay. Google maps took us straight to it. One thing that probably should be disclosed is the condition of the “country road.” We were going to take my new sports car on this trip, but my brother got there before us & suggested we bring our truck. The road is really, REALLY rough, washed out, & narrow even in 4x4 trucks. Wouldn't want someone else bringing a small vehicle & getting upset at how the road is &/or damaging their vehicle. But the house was clean, well stocked, great area, AC worked well, & the kids loved the hot tub, bunk beds, & swing set! Thank you! Messaged about the road after our trip & got no response.

Family weekend getaway
Beautiful cabin and area. The cabin is very comfortable and spacious. The road is very rough with lots of big pot holes. We recommend to drive an SUV or truck. The refrigerator does NOT keep your food cold. Plan accordingly. We left a note to the owner to replace the refrigerator. When people rent a cabin/home, they generally expect working appliances with their rental. Overall, a great stay.

Great Property!
Super easy to get in/check-in! Great space for a group…we had 7 adults and 1 child. My granddaughter loved the play area! The road back to the house is not good so needed to take it super slow.

Very nice home.
Road to home very bumpy but once you get there everything is very beautiful. Love the fact that each room has their own bathroom and there isn’t that many stairs to climb.

Cute Cabin in the Woods
First off, working with Ms. Anne to book the Bluebonnet was a breeze. She was always very responsive, personable, professional, and helpful in her communication before and during our week-long stay. Secondly, the cabin had everything we needed for a restful, relaxing, and fun experience. We were a multi-family unit that stayed in the home to celebrate milestone events with others (who stayed in a different location due to the size of the group). We hosted everyone one evening for dinner and though we brought many of our own items, the kitchen was well outfitted to accommodate the preparation and serving of the meal. There were also plenty of games and televisions to entertain everyone. 😊I WFH and did so while at the Bluebonnet using the stellar WiFi without any issues-even while hosting online meetings. The cabin is very private and peaceful, helping all who stayed there recenter and reconnect. The only thing I would mention to others is that getting to the cabin is very slow going due to the poor condition of the roads (hubby and I, who came at different times, both have SUV/Truck and still had to inch along, those with cars had to go even slower-like 3 miles an hour). This, of course, has nothing to do with the wonderful hosts, and is mentioned as an FYI only. The drive was well worth the stay.

Amazing
The cabin was beautiful and just right for my family's Christmas in the Cabin! It had everything we needed very well stocked. The water was turned off on Christmas which was out of the host's control but she stayed in touch with me and kept me updated. I will definitely go back during the summer. We loved our stay!!❤️❤️

Wonderful stay!
We really enjoyed our stay at this home. Perfectly secluded at the end of the culdesac down a dirt road. Definitely tricky to find but good directions. The house was immaculate. Lots of space and well appointed. Kitchenwares are aging somewhat but all usable. No coffee filters for the coffee maker but no big deal. we used the Kuerig instead. The soundbar was finicky. Required manual reset each time TV was turned on. Hot tub wasn't heating on arrival - was in SP mode or (slow heat). Changed it back to regular mode and voila, heat! (thanks google). Overall very nice stay and plan to return.

Nice, secluded, relaxing location at the end of the street. Hopefully it will stay secluded at the end as the privacy was nice. Enough room for everyone to spread out and had everything we needed.

Nice home for small gathering.
The house was nice, well stocked and clean. It was a bit misleading online, as it claims to accommodate up to 12 people. We had 10 people and it was a tight squeeze. Thankfully we had an air mattress to help suit everyone.

At the end of the drive, so it feels very secluded without being too far a way from Beaver's bend and all the fun! Extremely clean, kitchen had everything you need. Tip: all the roads are very rustic. Slow down. Enjoy the ride.
