Unfriendly host

I was called by a very nice lady before my arrival. She asked me to tell Mr. Charles the exact time of arrival. I sent him 2 messages, he didn't reply to any of them. From the moment we arrived, he was very unfriendly, especially to me, because I don't speak French. He opened the pool at 9 a.m. by putting a cleaning machine in the pool at 8:30 a.m., which works for 3 hours! Later, when we pointed this out to him, the pool was open at 9:00 a.m., but he closed it at exactly 8:00 p.m. We had a mouse in the apartment, which he said was normal because we are in the country. Very strange! This is not normal for us. All in all, the apartment was quite good, but the gentleman was very, very unfriendly.
