Basford View is a convenient base for touring, being close to Churnet Valley Railway, the Roaches, Tittesworth Reservoir and Alton Towers.

Today Leek offers a wide selection of shops including vast antique emporiums, bookshops and galleries and there is good selection of restaurants and real ale pubs. Alton Towers is less than 20 minutes drive away.

The property was fine and cosy for two people.

Enjoyable, lovely week with good weather. Property absolutely fine but the gas fire was essential especially in November - it would have been too cold in the house without it.
