Maris Cottage is an end-terraced cottage in The Bay, near Filey. The cottage has a ground floor double, a king-size double which can be a twin on request, with an en-suite, a twin which can be a king-size double on request, and a further twin. There is a family bathroom, an additional cloakroom and an open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area. Outside is off road parking for one car plus guest parking, along with a patio and communal grounds plus on-site facilities including a heated swimming pool, gym, sauna, tennis courts and more. Maris Cottage makes a great year-round family base.

A coffee shop and pub serving food offer refreshment, and for family fun, the sandy beach is on the doorstep. The Bay makes a great holiday base.

Maris cottage the bay holiday village filey

This was our first stay in Maris cottage the overall impression was the house was very tired and dirty with dubious stains on walls and carpets the dishwasher had congealed and discarded food stuck to the bottom and smelled horrendous the freezer compartments in the fridges had so much ice you could not get anything in them but there is also a small separate freezer, the cushions on the settee were so dirty and need replacing the same goes for the rug. The owner needs to inspect the property more often. The bedroom furniture in three of the bedrooms is broken, I could go on, but needless to say we paid a lot of money for our stay and expected better than we got.
