Region: A E Houseman once wrote that Shropshire was “the quietest place under the sun” and today the county remains something of a rural idyll, recognised as one of the least crowded and most peaceful regions in England.

Town: The attractive market town of Bishop's Castle is situated in the Outstanding Natural Beauty of the South West Shropshire Hills. The ancient town offers a weekly market and an excellent variety of shops, pubs and places to eat. It is famous for its annual Real Ale Festival and regular fairs, with the Michaelmas Fair being particularly popular.

Comfortable well-equipped family house
The house and surgery were exactly as described: there's lots of room, comfortable sitting room, big kitchen, good utility room, big garden. Bishops Castle is a most attractive small town with interesting buildings and shops. It has a surprisingly good bus service with a stop just outside the house.

Beautiful, roomy, multi-family escape.
We spent a lovely weekend catching up with old friends and this was the perfect venue. Plenty of space inside and out, allowing the kids to explore and play to their hearts content. Fantastically appointed to enable large groups to easily keep themselves fed and watered with minimal fuss. Highly recommend.
