The Skipper is a well appointed " shotgun" house that's beach front with the harbor just across the street. The property is .5 acres with plenty of room to bring a boat. The boat ramp is within walking distance. The fishing both in shore and off shore is like no other place.

Little piece of heaven!

If you are looking for some where to simply enjoy the beach with very few people around, this is the place! The beach is pristine, perfect for looking for shells! The home is relaxing and literally steps from the beach. The porches offer a perfect place to realax and listen to the waves crash! We have been to other beach areas in Florida, but this was super special!

Vacation 2024

Wonderful vacation spot if you enjoy a quiet beach, cooking dinners and a relaxing laid back atmoshere. The rental is lovely! We were steps from the beach. The porch furniture was inviting and comfortable. The perfect spot for morning coffee or a little spirits after a day on the beach. So many rentals have hard, cheap uncomfortable porch furniture. We spent most of our time lounging on the porch (when not on the beach). It was hard to leave! We enjoyed our stay and look to return, Thank you for sharing your little peace of happiness!

Beautiful view and perfect place to get away

The property is beautifully located to enjoy the waves from the gulf. The beach is quiet and the area is amazing. Away from the hustle and bustle. Plan to pack your meals in and the kitchen is well stocked with cookinb essentials. The outdoor shower is great to rinse off the salt and sand. The patios have great outdoor furniture to sit and enjoy the Gulf. Communication with the host was excellent. Dont pass this up!

Perfect Getaway

The house is right on the beach. There are two levels of porches that offer the most beautiful views of the beach and the sunrises and sunsets. It was so peaceful! It was just me and my dog. The beach is dog-friendly and it is gorgeous! There is a nice paved path beside the street that is great for walks or bike rides. It feels so remote and so special there. I definitely recommend it!

Best spot right on the beach!

A perfect 5-star retreat! This beach house was an absolute gem—secluded, well-equipped, and a dream come true. Waking up to gorgeous sunrises, kayaking adventures, and incredible sunset views made every moment special. The owners provided thoughtful touches and made our stay unforgettable. My dog’s beach freedom was the cherry on top. Highly recommend for a blissful getaway! They have replaced the living room sofa with a very comfortable sofa with a chaise attached and also put a tv in the master bedroom. We will definitely be back!

It was our anniversary and it was a prefect getaway from South Florida. Beach was beautiful but the great surprise was all the wildlife since it is near national parks....great time..thanks to the host she was great!!!

Amazing ocean front house!!

This place was awesome. Even with two flights of stairs..Or Three if you count the stairs going to house. Beds on main level with 2 bedrooms 1 queen with tv or king with no tv and 2 bathrooms. The master bathroom is small but it's nice to have your own bathroom. Also helpful that you had a bathroom close to use. Two beautiful decks with amazing views. Loved the dock on bay side as well. Multiple fishing spots. October was amazingly quiet and very private. My dog loved being off leash. I will 100% rent this place again. Host was very nice and easy to communicate with. She even asked if we wanted a Tv for master but we loved it without. Amazing place to stay and fish and enjoy the ocean front views and access to the beach.

Fantastic stay at the Skipper!

The perfect place for a group of four. This a not a place to go if you a looking for a touristy area. It was absolutely perfect for us. Quiet, beach access right out back. All the amenities we needed and spacious enough we weren’t in each others way. We’d definitely stay here again.

Beautiful place

What a beautiful home! The view was amazing and how you could walk right onto the beach. Tried to reach owner but fridge leaks. Master needs a tv 😆 we enjoyed our stay.

Porch to Paradise

The location was perfect, with stunning panorama views. Access was nearly instant to our coastal utopia. The house was extremely clean and everything it promised to be. I love that every little thing was not listed, as one can find all sorts of extra amenities by looking around; just one of the hidden gems of our vacation. My husband and I (with our two dogs) had such a good time that, even after evacuating to Tallahassee (due to Hurricane Idalia), we chose to return. It was total chaos, but worth the effort to enjoy as much time as we could, at Skipper. Our host, too, was unbelievably helpful and directed us to the best pet friendly hotel experience we've ever had, at Aloft. It should not go without saying that the next door homeowners were the most accommodating and friendly folks we've had the pleasure to meet on vacation. In fact, most residents of Alligator Point are very outgoing and helpful. We were even able to observe/participate in baby turtle releases of those who were able to be rescued, after the storm. Our last minute getaway did not disappoint. To say everything nice about this property and destination would require me to write a book.

Nature at its finest

We had a wonderful stay at the Skipper. The home overlooks the beach and the two balconies were perfect areas to read, play games, & eat meals. The beds were extremely comfortable, the A/C works GREAT, & the showers have water pressure! We did not see dolphins this trip but we did see a family manatees! We will definitely try to book the Skipper when we come back to Alligator Point.

The house was clean, tastefully furnished and the beds were very comfy. The views and proximity to the beach were amazing. Having access to the dock with the covered sitting area was icing on the cake. Can't wait to go back!

Great spot to relax

Great house located directly on the gulf. The house had everything we needed, two bedrooms three bathrooms and great views of the ocean from two outside decks. Very quiet area.

Very quiet, secluded and beautiful beach

The weather did not cooperate while we were here so we had some cold days to start with still did lots of walks on the beach, but the wind and coldness made it difficult to get in the water. Our last two days were wonderful nice and warm calmer waters. This is a very secluded area. Make sure you’ve got your groceries together when you get there there’s a great seafood restaurant in panacea And a person that sells fresh seafood, reaper and red snapper fillets. I recommend you get the rest in Tallahassee or wherever you fly in and there’s a Publix or Winn-Dixie to get decent produce The place is well stocked could use a few new pans. If you’re doing a lot of cooking pretty much everything else we needed was there except for anything that’s consumable well decorated very comfy beds Great to sit out on the deck and have a cuppa coffee in the morning and watch out at the ocean and sea dolphins

Great Sunsets

This beach house was very clean and well outfitted. The 2 covered decks overlook the beach and provide the best sunsets. The master bed might be the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. The living room could use a more comfortable couch. Having laundry was a bonus. We really enjoyed our stay!

Perfect place to break away from stress.

If you're looking for a place to get away from your everyday life, this is the place for you. The beaches are nice and quiet with the only thing you hear are the waves and birds. The house was great for my wife and I. There are a lot of stairs, but we knew that going into it. Also, the time was tripping us out. At the road entrance, the time was EST and the beach side was central. It caught us off guard a few times. The only thing I would recommend would be to bring laundry and dish washer detergent. For the owner, most places we've stayed at have a binder with few things to note such as local restaurants, stores, things to do, and what all needs to be done during closing up. We do appreciate the labels around the house, but a binder with all of the information would be nice. Thank you for opening this piece of heaven up for people to enjoy. We truly did.

This place is about 40 min from any grocery store! Cute and relaxing, but wish I had known how desolate the area was. Lovely otherwise

Wonderful, Secluded Beach House

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Alligator Point and our two dogs had an absolute blast playing on the beach each day. You can't beat the location, as the beach is just steps away. It's very convenient and beautiful to look out at from all rooms. We enjoyed all the wildlife we saw every day from dolphins to the white squirrel, crabs, sharks, and more. The decks were so nice to watch the sunrise/sunset and relax with a book listening to the waves! It was also convenient the deck is fenced at the bottom so our dogs could roam freely about. I will note there are a lot of stairs. The bedroom is on the main floor so it does require several stairs to get to the main living part of the house upstairs. This was a little tough for our older dogs and could make it hard for someone with mobility issues. I will also say that it is extremely close to the houses next door. From the deck, you can almost touch the next door house's porch. We didn't realize this from the photos and probably wouldn't stay here again for this reason. There was zero privacy on the porches due to being able to see straight into the houses next door. I would be more concerned about this during the summer months when it is more crowded. Overall, we had a wonderful time and could not have asked for a better location on the secluded beach. The stars were unbelievable and the sunrises were worth waking up for! It truly is a very peaceful, relaxing place.

A perfect, quiet oasis!

We had so much fun and absolutely loved the house and location to the beach and the harbor! Anytime of day you can take your chair and walk a very short distance to the beach to relax or walk the shoreline. The view from the decks gave us a full view of the lovely sunsets each night! The Skipper is everything it says it is! We can't wait to come back!

I am a retired nurse and my daughter an Atlanta realtor/artist. We along with my son in law purchased Skipper 2020 as a vacation rental. I have personally been in the vacation rental business since 2006. We are from Atlanta Georgia. We discovered and fell in love with Alligator Point in 2017. We feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to acquire this unique beach front property with harbor views and to be able to share it.
