Located in the heart of the Gruene historic district, The Casitas at Gruene are perfect for small groups, couples, wedding parties, girls' weekends and more. Each uniquely themed casita includes private access to the Guadalupe river.

The Casitas are a short leisurely walk from Gruene Hall and other live music venues, plus endless shopping and dining options! We are located less than an hour from five of Trip Advisor's Best Vacation Spots in Texas, making the Casitas the perfect place to stay on your next trip!

Each Casita features one bedroom, a private bathroom, a living room with a sofa bed, and a kitchenette. When you're done kicking up your heels at Gruene Hall, browsing boutiques, or floating the Guadalupe, come back to your Casita to unwind in complete comfort. All Casitas have access to a private riverfront area with a charcoal grill, fire pit, and beautiful patio areas.

The Casitas are owned and operated by longtime residents of New Braunfels. Every detail was hand-picked, from floor to ceiling, to create the most luxurious accommodations in Gruene. Great location for Gruene and river

Great place to stay if you’re going to Gruene Hall. It’s less than a 10 minute walk. The river is a relaxing place to hang out before the show. Had a great stay

Fun Times in Gruene

This was our second stay at The Casitas and as before, we had the best time. The Casitas are so nice and clean, has everything we needed. The walk doesn’t o the river was so beautiful and we had deer and even a fox run past us. We definitely will be back soon!!

We really recommend the stay thier at the casitas, we will definitely be staying there again. All the accessories you can think of were provided by the property. The restraunt, shops and bars were walking distance.

Wonderful Place

We stayed in the Coastal Casita at The Casitas at Gruene. This is my second time staying at this property. It is a wonderful place to stay. My sister-in-law stayed at the Fiesta Casita and it was wonderful, as well. It is clean, nicely furnished, and well stocked with whatever you need. The owners are very responsive with questions. They have wonderful river access at this property, too. The Casitas at Gruene are a 5-star property for sure!

Short but sweet

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay albeit only two nights which we wished could have been longer. The best & most enjoyable time was relaxing on the river (actually in the river, we like to “bullfrog”) while listening to the peaceful sound of the rapids with an adult beverage. We had the river to ourselves in the evenings which was very peaceful & “de-stressing” which was the goal. CHEERS!

Best place in Gruene!

This property could not be more perfect! The casitas are new, clean, extremely comfortable, and very well thought out. Bed is very comfortable, kitchen has all you need, and there is even a wagon to tote your stuff around the property and an ice machine for your convenience. The property owners are very kind and we’re nice enough to give us the door code when we locked ourselves out. The property itself is absolutely beautiful. Deer came right up to us at the outdoor sitting area, and we saw all sorts of other wildlife. Just down the private walk away is the most beautiful river. On the right side there is shallow, flowing water over rocks, and on the left it gets deeper for more submerged swimming. There is a beachfront walk-in entry so it is perfect for any age. The Casitas also provide canoes, kayaks, tubes, and paddle boards for anybody to use that is staying at the property. They have a beautiful outdoor dining area with a grill, and a cozy sitting area with a fire pit. It is truly the perfect setup. The hill you walk down and up to get from your house to the river is a little steep at parts, so just know ahead of time if you have older folks or young kids. The property is located about a half mile walk or less from downtown Gruene and is an easy walk. The only difficult part is if you have strollers or wheelchairs. The walk is along the main road that doesn’t have a sidewalk, so that can be a little dicey, but it is a short distance and we managed just fine. We will be back as soon as we can!

Excellent location

We stayed for one night for a show at Gruene Hall. Easy check-in process, very clean and well kept, walkable to everything in Gruene. We did get to enjoy the river on this quick trip but we hope to on our next visit!

This was the most perfect last minute getaway trip! I felt we were lucky to have been able to find this place last minute. It met all our expectations and then some! Comfy bed, and so close to all the venues too! We are already planning our next stay!

Beautiful Casita in Excellent Location

The Coastal Casita was very nice! The owners have gone above and beyond with the amenities provided. It is in a secure location and easily walkable to the restaurants, shopping, and live music venues. There is river access on a path by the casita and it is a beautiful river spot. The owners have chairs, tubes, and kayaks that can be used. The walk to the river is somewhat steep, but it is concrete all of the way and has handrails to help if needed. We will definitely be v ack!
