Colorful casita with river access in the Heart of the Gruene Historic District

Located in the heart of the Gruene historic district, The Casitas at Gruene is perfect for small groups, couples, wedding parties, girls' weekends, and more. This listing is for the Fiesta themed Casita. Each Casita includes private access to the Guadalupe River. There is a walkway to our private river access on the property. Gruene Hall is a 5-minute walk. Kayaks and paddleboards available for use. Beautiful rustic stone picnic tables, fire pits, and Bar-b-Que pits available for use. The property is meticulously maintained and features 100-year-old oak trees. An automatic security gate welcomes guests and is closed at night. Guests have 24/7 access.
All Casitas have a fully-stocked complimentary Keurig bar, microwave, bar sink, and 2 TVs.

Great little weekend stay!

This is a very festive and comfortable little condo. Great shower, towels, and all amenities. Close walk downtown.

We booked this trip months ago and we’re so excited. Unfortunately the day of check in we were completely ghosted by the host and never received any check in information!! They would not respond to Vrbo either. And we drove 4 hours to celebrate our anniversary. Vrbo said since they were unresponsive they would put us in a hotel for the night and we could find other accommodations the next day. Needless to say so last minute nothing comparable was available not to mention we were already out of pocket 1250 for the place we booked so we drove 4 hours back. The manager did call me back several hours later and told me the reason this happened to us was not due to some horrible accident or situation bur because the phone had been dead and they were looking for a charger. I FO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY!! They ruined our vacation.

It was my birthday weekend.

Location Location Location is all I gotta say. Cottage was excellent. If your looking for somewhere to stay this the place. If I could give 10 stars I would. To the Monroe's, don't change a thing and thank you for allowing us to stay on your property.

Road Noise & Poor Mattress.

Nice living space but location is poor because of road noise. Across road from business area. City was emptying dumpsters 3am. Major road with a lot of traffic 6 am to 11 pm. King bed mattress was the worst. Location very close to Gruene attractions but not worth the cost. We paid for two nights but left the property the second night so we could sleep. We will find another place to stay next trip. Parking area is limited and tight

Texas Get Away

Perfect combination for both of us. With the peaceful retreat down by the river and the closeness to shops, food and entertainment in Gruene, it was the best of both worlds. Accommodations were perfect for us. Special thanks to Dusty for her prompt assistance with the 1/2 sleep number bed issue.

Wonderful stay

We enjoyed staying in the fiesta themed casita! Location to shopping and food was great! The walk down to the river is so peaceful! We hope to come back in the future!

A MUST STAY

This property was everything it stated it was and more. As someone in Real Estate, location is everything. They have the perfect location. In addition, they went the extra mile on everything. When my wife accidently left an item, they notified us and mailed it to us. They could have easily thrown it away. Perfect place to stay with perfect customer service.

Beautiful space

My husband and I loved our stay here. The amenities were excellent and so well thought out. We especially loved the ride on the golf cart with Monroe! The river is beautiful here and we now have buns of steel!

Darling place for a getaway!

We absolutely loved this casita. It was perfectly appointed for a fun weekend away. It was impeccably clean and well stocked! The bed was super comfy and the large TV in the bedroom made watching the UT Longhorn game that much more fun! Before a short stroll to Gruene Hall, we sat barefoot in the grass (so plush and well maintained) along the sidewalk and listened to the music across the street. We loved kayaking along this beautiful stretch of the river as well. Would definitely stay here again!

July getaway

I absolutely LOVED this stay. It was a small space but it had everything we needed. The touches like makeup wipes and water made it feel so personal. I also forgot some things and they were kind enough to message me and let me know instead of just throwing it away. The walk to the water was perfect (even seen deer), and the fact that they offered tubes, kayak’s, and paddle boards was amazing. Also so close to town! You literally could walk everywhere.

Great place for a Gruene visit

We went to Gruene to see a show at Gruene Hall and loved the convenience of being able to walk from our casita to the town. We also loved the river access and other amenities that came with the casita. The room was clean and beautiful and the bed was very comfortable! There was a booking snafu, but it was a fluke where two different sites allowed for two of us to book the room at the same time; however, the property manager and owners were very responsive and quickly resolved the issue to everyone's satisfaction.

Absolutely amazing, but know about the live music

This is an absolutely gorgeous place - wonderful and accessible riverfront with tubes and kayaks, two fire pits, a whole herd of deer bounding around... had a great time with my wife and two kids. The only downside from the perspective of having young kids with us was the live music venue across the street. Fortunately our kids just took a bit longer to get to sleep than usual, but the music did last until after 10 both nights we were there, so be warned! Other than that, however - great location, great amenities, walking distance to lots of cool stuff, and if you *like* loud live music then that's a plus and not a minus :-)
