Lovely Home!
Lovely and well maintained stay. As an fyi for fellow parents of young children - this is on a very steep hillside, and the stairs to access the apartment are tough for little ones to navigate safely (and the rails have gaps big enough for daredevil toddlers to slip through)

Quiet and Secluded apartment
The apartment is located on a private street surrounded by trees. You do need to use stairs to access the apartment which is located in a basement of a large house but you would never know you were in a basement. Lots of light from the windows and it’s very spacious. There are many walking trails and you are very close to the zoo and walked there. The metro train station is very close but you do have to walk up hill to access it and will need to either walk up hill or take several stairs to get back to the apartment. If you are not a walker getting an Uber or Lyft was easy. I would recommend using the Metro train as it was clean, inexpensive, and very easy to use. I would definitely rent this again and I loved being able to cook there instead of eating out all the time. Lastly, the manager was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions in a timely manner.

Treetops Bungalow
My friend and I spent 6 days exploring Washington DC. This property was a perfect base for our sightseeing. trips. The house was very clean and the furnishings comfortable and somewhat eclectic. The kitchen was well equipped (although there were no dish towels). The linens and towels were of good quality. The house is approximately a 15 minute walk to the metro. The walk to the metro is uphill and there is a long flight of stairs to get down to the street. One can also take the road but it does add some distance. The house is surrounded by trees which makes for a picturesque setting. Susan, the property manager, was responsive and accommodating. The listing did state there was a hair dryer which was not the case. Not a big deal but a bit inconvenient. Overall this was a great place for our trip and we would certainly consider staying here again.

Lovely “treehouse”!
We rented this lovely space for my parents who were in town to visit their grandkids. It was spacious, comfortable and perfectly located with great walkability to food, Rock Creek Park, the zoo, metro and other amenities. They called it their “treehouse”, loved the upgraded shower and said it could easily accommodate a larger group or family. The owner was very helpful and responsive to our inquiries. Thanks for a great stay!

An Oasis in the City
The photos did not do this lovely property justice. It was absolutely gorgeous and exactly what my colleague and I needed for a work trip rental. We felt like we were at a spa in the treetops! We actually forgot we were in the district as we were surrounded by trees Rock Creek Park. It was wonderful and we did not want to leave. The host was also the best I have ever had with a VRBO rental. Thank you again for everything Susan! We can't wait to return!
