About this property

This beautiful one bedroom oceanfront unit is located on the third floor of the 'A' Building at Papakea Resort and is approximately 50 feet from the ocean. Papakea is a beautifully landscaped, low rise complex (4-story) that includes 2 swimming pools, 12 gas operated barbecues, 2 hot tubs, 2 twelve-hole putting greens, 2 shuffleboard courts, 2 lighted tennis courts, pickleball, and many more extras.

The condo sleeps 4 (California king size bed in the bedroom and a queen-size sofa bed in the living room) and is equipped with everything that you will need. The unit is clean and well maintained. The condo is NOT AIR CONDITIONED. The unit has a high efficiency ceiling fan in the bedroom and the living room. The sliding door (screened) to the lanai can be left open all night to allow a cooling breeze and let you enjoy the sounds of the ocean. The unit offers complete privacy since the only people that can see into the unit are on Molokai (nine miles across the Pailolo channel).

The modern kitchen has been upgraded with granite counter tops, wood cabinets and drawers, and new tile backsplash. Appliances include stainless steel refrigerator, dishwasher, new oven/range (2024) and over-the-range microwave oven (2022).

There is a stacked G.E. washer and dryer in the unit. A new bedroom mattress was installed in 2020. A new mattress on the fold-out sofa bed was installed in 2024.

2024: The unit now has both drip and K-cup coffee makers. There is a new oven/range and microwave (2022).

Watch the famous Maui sunsets from your private lanai. The whales are frequent visitors to the Papakea waters and you can watch them play while you relax on the lanai (whale 'season' is approximately from the end of November to the end of March).

We provide 'check-in' cleaning only; no daily maid service.

The Papakea Board of Directors has implemented a 'Facilities Fee'. Effective July 1, 2024, the fee is $25.00 per night. The fee (not included in my rates) is payable at the front desk at check out.

Maui never disappoints

You can’t beat the ocean front condo!! Views are beautiful. Condo had everything we needed and stayed cool without AC. Cleanliness was the only “issue” we had with the condo. The other issues were with Papakea, not with the condo itself. (People feeding the birds and attracting them and 4th floor people shaking towels over the railing and getting sand all over our lanai). We loved the beach in front of the condo and beautiful sunsets. Condo owner was great to deal with.

Beautiful and clean

We stayed at the Papakea resort for a week in February. Check in was so simple and fast the room was clean and well stocked with essentials we needed. Even several beach items to use while we stayed and checked out other local beaches. The view from the deck was the best part. We ate all our meals outside and watched as whales jumped and played right there. The property is well maintained and clean our kids loved the pool. So nice to have private beach access with a shower to rinse off with as well. Our family will definitely be back again, wish we could've stayed longer. -Vorhees Family

Papakea Spectacular Ocean View

Wonderful place, great location for watching whale’s or just listening to the ocean right off the lanai. Everything we needed was at the place, beach chairs, towels, boogie boards, umbrella, kitchen was well stocked, all appliances are newer and work well. Having a washer/dryer is a huge bonus. This was our second stay at Papakea resort and would go again in a heartbeat!

Amazing!

We spent 7 nights at this property; it was possibly the best vacation so far for us! The property is right on the beach, we watched the moon and sunset from the lanai. The unit is equipped with all necessary appliances and equipment, it also has additional stuff for water/ ocean activities. The unit is very well maintained. The owner Rob is awesome and very responsive to every question I had. The Papakea property is very well maintained and family friendly!

great place, large balcony with sea view

Everything was good here, and we rent at Papakea every year. But if you are a wine drinker, bring your own real wine glasses, as we did, since theirs are colored plastic ones. Also, on very hot days, the lack of air conditioning could be a problem for some, but we had no real problem.

Wonderful view and kitchen and bath. No air conditioning, but. didn't need it! Fans worked perfectly and breeze from the ocean was great. Love that it is on the 3rd floor, more privacy! Host was so easy to work with and accommodating! We hope to be back when they have an opening!

Perfect place to stay for a family of 4

This condo is an amazing location and the owner was very communicative in booking questions. I would stay here again. Condo is very nice. Only thing that could make it better would be AC, but the fans do a good job. It was never too hot.

My husband and I had an amazing time in Kaanapali. The accommodations were beautiful and in the perfect location. We were able to watch dolphins from the Lanai, which was amazing. Our room wasn’t ready until about 45 minutes after our check in time, but that wasn’t a big deal. We had a great time overall. Hopefully we will be back again!

Excellent location with a spectacular view!

We absolutely love the Papakea and find the property to be meticulously groomed with such a great family vibe and low foot traffic. It has access to Kaanapali Beach within a short walk! This condo has an amazing view of Molokai and great ocean sounds all day. The bed and furnishings were very comfortable. We had a fantastic stay!

Maui vacation

Great location and amenities. We enjoyed our stay. The host was responsive and accommodating to all requests. 4 stars simply due to the lack of AC in the unit. Opening the doors and windows helped but some nights it was still a bit warm.

Maui vacation

Nice ocean view from this condo. Saw whales almost every day from the lanai. The condo doesn't have air conditioning but in March/April it was not missed. Nice breeze comes through the unit. Everything we needed to cook with was there for our use. Would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful place to stay!

What a beautiful condo! Breathtaking views of the ocean from the condo and gorgeous inside too! The condo is well equipped (including boogie boards, golf clubs for the pitch and putt, beach chairs, umbrellas). The grounds are beautiful with a heated pool, and a huge hot tub. We had a blast and hope to be back one day!!
