About this property

Secluded, Cozy Cottage in the Shenandoah Valley

Escape to our comfortable and well appointed cottage in the mountains. This one bedroom one bath with additional loft is the perfect retreat. The spacious deck is ideal for sipping coffee in the morning, reading and napping in the afternoon and star gazing at night. The property sits on over 90 acres to explore and a hot tub to soak in after. There are beautiful hiking trails a few steps from the cottage and the famous Skyline Drive is just a 20 minute drive away. There are several beautiful wineries a few miles from the cottage. Enjoy the evenings by the fire pit (we have wood available for you). We also have a wood burning fire place for chilly nights and a gas grill for your convenience.
The cottage has free wifi (Starlink!) and a smart TV.
There are 2 towns close by for provisioning, shopping and meals out.
We have a generator that will automatically turn on and power the entire cottage in case there is a power outage.
Peace and quiet with all the comforts of home. Like us, you won’t want to leave.

Please be aware that we do have a security camera located on the upper deck that is pointed at the driveway and one at the entry door.

Wonderful Week Escape

Very happy with this rental. Road and property were easy to find and navigable with our non-4WD. Check in was a breeze and the owner friendly when we met him the last day. We lived in the hot tub and enjoyed not even having to leave the property to find hiking trails. Would stay again when we're next in the area even with the asian lady beetles! (The rating requires something about the winery but we didn't go there.)

A Cozy Mountain Getaway – Perfect in Every Way!

We had an absolutely amazing stay at this charming cabin! Nestled in the serene mountains, it’s the perfect place to unwind and recharge. The cabin was cozy and inviting, with a beautiful fireplace that made the evenings so warm and relaxing. We loved soaking in the jacuzzi after a day of exploring the area—it was the perfect touch!The host was incredibly responsive and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable. We were especially delighted by the homemade cookies that greeted us upon departure—such a thoughtful gesture!Everything about this place was fantastic, from the stunning mountain views to the perfect amenities. We can't recommend it enough and can’t wait to return!

Thanksgiving getaway

It's the perfect cozy place for two for Thanksgiving. The indoor fireplace has plenty of firewood, and the outdoor firepit has a grill plate, perfect for making smores. We started our mornings having coffee in the hot tub. We will stay here again!

Lovely place to escape

Great location if you want to get away from the chaos of daily life. We hiked both on the property and in the surrounding area, relaxed in the hot tub, and enjoyed the fireplace in the evenings.

Peaceful weekend getaway!

This house is everything and more! The surrounding area is perfect for hiking. The porches and fire pit are perfect for sitting and relaxing. It rained during our stay and I loved sitting on the upper porch watching it. It is absolutely as shown in the listing. I loved all the cute fall touches and I want a shower just like the one here. We will definitely be back!! Thank you for a relaxing weekend.

Perfect Cottage

What a fantastic getaway! This home is clean, cozy, and oh so quiet! There is a hiking trail not far from the house with incredible views! My husband and I had a great time. Highly recommend!

It was a peaceful stay. The property was well taken care of and clean! A charming cottage set back away from the hustle and bustle. We enjoyed Virginia. Wonderful place and experience

Very peaceful, clean, up to date and great location. Hiked to the top of the mountain on a well maintained several mile trail on the property with incredible views. Thank you to the hosts and will plan to visit again. What a great tranquil place to relax!
