Excellent stay! House was exactly as pictured and so cozy! It rained a few days while we were there and it was just as fun hanging at the cabin! Everything was clean and organized. 4 wheel drive was 100% necessary which we knew ahead of time so that was no problem at all. House was stocked with everything we needed but stores were also near by to pick up anything! If you’re looking for a true mountain cabin this one is for you! :)

Renter beware

The road to the cabin is as described. The cabin has a nice view but that’s about it. The furniture is dated, the sofa smells like dog and there are fleas on it. The owner has a WiFi thermostat and gas it set to go to 55 degrees at 3:15 A.M. The bedroom window doesn’t close completely so the master bedroom is cold. There is no trash pick up so you have to take the trash 20 minutes away or be charger $35 for the first kitchen sized bag then $5 for additional bags. We checked out on Sunday and the dump is closed on Sunday. There are multiple other issues but the biggest issue is the property management company is a nightmare to deal with. They will keep your deposit for old damage and blame you for not checking the cabin thoroughly at check in.

Awesome View Indeed

The cabin lived up to its name. The view is gorgeous! Cozy cabin with all of home conveniences. Upgraded GE appliances and lots of fluffy bath towels Very quiet and peaceful. Host was readily available and quick to answer any questions we had. The road leading to the cabin was bumpy and very rough. Would not recommend driving at night. All in all 10 out of 10

Awesome view hardly describes

My wife and i stayed here this past weekend and man what a view. Simply beautiful at all times of the day. The house is definitely on the side of a mountain so 4wd is a must. And there are 2 ways to get up there i recommend the 2nd as it is pretty much a straight shot. It is still a little rutted from the hurricane a month ago. Communication with the owner was extremely easy and kept me up to date on the area status after the hurricane. The house was really clean other than some dog hair and finger smudges on the glass. Be sure to bring everything you need to cook with as it is a bare kitchen other than pans pots and plates. It was a wonderful stay and would highly recommend if you are looking a private scenic memorable stay in maggie valley.

Great View!

Believe the description regarding the drive/road up to the cabin. We had a 4WD and it was a kidney buster. Overall the cabin is clean and as described. I highly recommend that you take your own towels and wash cloths. The few that were provided were a bit threadbare.

What a view!

We have been staying in the Smokies for many years and this is the best view we have ever had! The cabin is very nice and comfortable. It was spotless clean and well maintained. The property management were very friendly and addressed our every need quickly and promptly. The road getting to the cabin is exactly as advertised, what an adventure and a memory we will never forget. It was a great week!

Accurate Listing, Read others Comments for best expectation

We enjoyed this property immensely; the hot tub is a nice touch. The road up to the property is rough and 4-wheel drive made it much more manageable. Slight upgrades would make this property even more luxurious such as better shower heads and toilet seats (as the one in the master pinches your legs). Overall we would book this property again, very beautiful view of Smokies especially when it snows!

Beautiful View, Great Stay!

Our family of four enjoyed our stay in "Awesome View". The name is certainly accurate. If you are planning on this you NEED a 4WD vehicle. The driveway is steep and narrow and you would not want to be on this without 4WD. With that said the listing is accurate and you should do fine with the terrain as long as you are prepared. The cabin was very nice and we had a great stay.

Perfect Weather Great Views

Weather was breezy and in the 70s. Lots of hummingbirds around the deck. They were fun to watch. Road is steep and treacherous so 4WD is necessary as the listing states. Great sized cabin. Had a pleasant stay.

Awesome View!!

The road leading up to the cabin is treacherous! (But well worth it) I would most definitely stay here again! The views from the deck are so beautiful! The cabin is stocked with all of the necessary amenities, you wouldn't even need to leave (other than for food) if you didn't want to!

Accuratel;y Named ! The View Is Great

Had a nice stay. Loved the ride up the gravel road to get to the house! I've got 4-wheel so no issues there. Found everything we needed in the kitchen. Bedding was good as was the comfort of the bed. While there, our phone service was 100%, no issues. Would highly reccommend this property.

Mixed Emotions

Long review!!!! I’m going to be honest. I’ve stayed on this mountain many times over the years, but never in this house. The drive up wasn’t shocking because we’ve done it many times. You absolutely need a 4WD vehicle. You can never predict what condition the road is in so err on the side of caution and make sure you are driving a 4WD. The house was super clean and I didn’t have any issues with the stairs to get in and out because that is obvious in the pictures. I was so looking forward to some cool mountain breezes blowing through the windows and enjoying the glorious mountain weather. I was shocked to arrive and realize that all of the window screens have been removed and all of the windows are sealed shut. In a different time of year this might not matter, but I was looking forward some free AC. I know the “Amazing View” is amazing because I’ve stayed on this mountain many times. The view really is amazing!! The view at sunrise is unbelievably beautiful!! The problem is…….there are bats roosting at the door and if you want to take pictures of sunrise or before, you have to be willing to fight bats that are coming home to roost just above the door. The same is true in the evening. I am an early riser and love to take pictures from this location, but I couldn’t because of the bats. This house really does have an amazing view. It is clean and has a completely stocked kitchen. No need to bring basic supplies, salt, pepper and many spices are there including all pots and pans and paper goods, soap, TP, etc.

The name "Awesome View" is Spot On.

We rent cabins once or twice a year in Western Carolina. This is by far the best place we have stayed. Absolutely beautiful, long range views. Perfect size for a couple, a family of two, or two couples and two children. Very clean. The reviews that talk about the drive up the mountain are not an exaggeration. It took a couple trips to get the confidence needed to go up and down in our SUV. We did not have a 4-wheel drive. But if you want a great view, you have to go up! Great location! Great communication.

The views are amazing!!!

We stayed in Maggie Valley so we could go to the Pow Wow on the Cherokee reservation, not far from there. It is a perfect, secluded get away with amazing views! The hot tub was an added bonus! We went in July, and I would still recommend an all wheel drive vehicle! Thank you for letting us stay!
