Contemporary Log Guesthouse with Sauna: Historic North End - Perfect for Couples
The Wooden House is a spacious almost 900 square foot urban retreat in the heart of the North End. This getaway is a perfect balance of industrial and cozy warmth. Walk, scooter, or Uber to Hyde Park and downtown from this quiet hideaway. In the warmer months, open the bay door to let the outside in. When it’s cooler the radiant floor heat will keep your toes toasty and when it gets warmer, you can cool down with the a/c. If you want more heat, turn the sauna on and have a sweat. Extra large bedroom with comfortable queen bed and additional lounge space on 2nd floor. Please note that because we share the backyard space & we have a dog, we cannot accept bookings from those with service animals. We, for security reasons, have two outdoor cameras at each entry. We are designers…and this is a special place that we have put love & care into. It’s not a generic house managed by a big property management company. You’ll see like so many of our past guests. Looking forward to hosting you!

Wonderful property and hosts. They greeted us, very welcoming. Especially there dog. Definitely need to come back here again for a quick get away! Also the sauna was lovely!
This was one of the nicest places we’ve stayed. The hostess was fantastic, fast response to concerns or questions. Even gave us ideas on what areas to look while we were in town
Such a wonderful and relaxing stay. The property was impeccable and comfortable. We loved the decor. The sauna was fantastic after skiing all day. The location is extremely convenient. We will definitely stay again when we return to Boise!
Oh my gosh!! If they will have us again, we would love it! The Cabin gorgeous! We are amateur photographers and did a little photo shoot here. It was PERFECT! thank you so much for our relaxing stay! Haunted World was awesome too!
The property is beautiful and it was a delight to stay here.
It was well designed and appointed nicely.
Danielle, Derek and Veera were great hosts.
It was quiet and felt like a little oasis in the middle of Boise.
We loved the Sauna and the Atlas Cedar they provided a great deal of comfort.
Comfortable log cabin tucked in an alley in a wonderful neighborhood. The cabin has great amenities. Owners decorated with eclectic detail. Short walking distance to Hyde Park 13th Street Shops. Awesome first time visit to Idaho!
We loved all the attention to detail and comfort. The bed, pillows and blankets are so comfortable. We were able to sleep well. The skylight above the bed was an added bonus. We also appreciated the extras (cold drinks in the fridge, beautiful coffee table, and the hammock swing for relaxing). We didn’t have time for the sauna but it looked wonderful.. The location is in a beautiful neighborhood and very private. It is a short pleasant walk to Hyde park with excellent restaurants, brewery, coffee shops and bakery. Also the hosts are very welcoming and helpful.
21st St. is part of the 'sweet spot' of Boise's North End,
and close to parks, grocery stores, restaurants, and Hyde Park.
As a family of artists, craftspeople, and builders, we took a tour of the cabin. We were all impressed!
The personal touches Derek and Danielle have added to the cabin make a wonderful place to visit Boise!
Beautifully decorated, immaculately clean, great location. We were able to walk to Hyde Park every morning to get coffee and breakfast sandwiches and Uber rides to downtown and other points of interest were short and reasonably priced. The sauna is a great additional amenity.
Everything was perfect. The neighborhood is very safe and fun to visit. We loved everything. Shower is very nice. Our host kindly left treats for us and we really enjoyed how well decorated and fun the house is. Lots of privacy and convenience. Bed was very comfortable and everything was clean.
We haven't any experience with this so not sure how to tell about our experience it was easy access and quiet neighborhood the place its self was not what we thought it would be so I think in fairness to the owner we dont want to leave a bad review because we didnt know what to expect it was not a cabin it was a converted garage that being said they definitely tryed to make it nice
Have stayed here several times and hope to come back. The Wooden House is very clean, cozy, uniquely designed/decorated and within walking distance of nearby restaurants, stores and great outdoor spots. Lovely hosts who truly want you to have a great experience/stay.
The owners absolutely made the best use of this space & every detail mattered to them. It was so nicely appointed, comfortable bed & pillows which is important to me as I have back problems, the sauna was awesome, everything was very cool looking & updated & you can tell they really thought out the space so well. Comfortable, inviting, great location, super clean, excellent property, we would stay again!
- great shower pressure, neat hidden drain system
- kitchen sink set up was very cool
- sleeping under the ceiling windows with the big, beautiful tree outside felt like being in a tree house
- decor & artwork were perfect for the space
- appreciated they had coffee, tea, hot chocolate, breakfast bars, beer & sparkling flavored beverages in fridge, hair dryer, extra of all the little toiletry items you may forget & easy to find
Really just perfection. Thank you for caring about your space & sharing!
Sleek, contemporary design and cozy place to stay. Such great attention to details like heated floors and the on site sauna. The location is fantastic and waking up to those skylights was magical!
Very nice place. Tons of areas to hang out and they did a great job putting it all together, feels homelike. Moccamaster coffee pot was awesome. Washer and dryer were convenient to have on site. Really enjoyed the stay.

Why they chose this property
Coveted historic heart of the North end neighborhood. Sidewalks for walking & lush tree canopy. Beautiful foothills with many foot trails are blocks away as well as Camel’s Back & Elmgrove Parks. 13th Street for eats, treats, rental bikes, and shopping.
