Cozy Creekside Cabin on 1.5 acres minute to Breckenridge
The cabin is located in Blue River on a rare 1.5 acre lot and is just minutes from the heart of Breckenridge with a free commuter bus stop right across the street. This is an authentic cabin that was one of the first built in the area and has been lovingly restored with attention to detail and cozy ambiance. STR # LR0-000015 The welcoming interior has a combined Living area/ kitchen with vaulted ceilings, aspen walls and a glass window wood stove to keep you warm. There is modern electric forced air heat and baseboard heat also should you prefer. A snug “cabin style” bedroom with a comfortable queen bed is on the main floor and upstairs is a cozy sleeping loft with 2 twin beds. The bathroom is large and features a claw foot tub and shower as well as a full size washer and dryer. Just under 700 square feet and yet it has everything you need! 1 pet allowed with nightly $20 pet fee. Please note: The cabin receives A-LOT of snow in the winter and although we do have a snow shoveling and driveway plowing service that comes after 6 inches of snow, we still require guests to have a vehicle with 4WD or AWD and excellent tires.

Great location just outside Breckenridge, close to highway, neighbors at quite a remove, square footage is smallish, but space is used very efficiently. Well-equipped, appliances and fixtures are all fine, responsive hosts, very clear instructions, thoughtful amenities. Nice property.
This was our second stay at the cabin and it just gets better and better. Perfect location, especially if you're planning to ski Breck. We also made the easy trips to Vail, Copper, and Beavercreek. Dog friendly with plenty of room inside and out for the pup to exercise. The wood burning fireplace / stove makes for very cozy nights. Lots of firewood and kindling. The washer and dryer is such an added bonus, especially for long stays like ours (11 nights, and 6+ days of skiing). It's quiet, peaceful, clean and tidy, easy to access, and the wifi connection is better than what we have at home, making telework very easy. We're looking forward to a return trip.
Property was perfect for our puppie’s vacation. The area was beautiful and just outside Breckenridge. The owners were super helpful with hiking information and very responsive with all questions. We took a long hike each day and then just lounged around the cabin in the afternoons and evenings. We bbq’d each night and enjoyed relaxing on the deck and in the yard area. The only disappointment was the road noise while on the deck, but it was a holiday weekend so probably a bit more traffic than usual. We found if we sat on the opposite side of the house facing the mountain we could barely hear it and inside the cabin it was very quiet. We’d definitely stay again and would recommend to others.
I will call it this . It's a little gem. completely comfortable, and meets all needs. The owners of the property are wonderful people. In my 14 years of visiting Colorado. this is one i will never forget
The cabin was the perfect winter getaway. We stayed 11 nights! 2 adults and 2 medium/small dogs. It’s the perfect size for a couple with or without dogs. The wifi connection is better than we have at home, and we were both able to telework, and video conference at the same time, without issue. Plenty of room to spread out in the cabin - the loft made for a perfect remote office. The wood burning fireplace with loads of wood added a touch of perfection and kept us toasty warm during some nights in the negatives. The dogs were extremely happy to nap in front of the fire and loved long runs around the property, in the deep snow. We prepared multiple meals in the kitchen. Plenty of cookware, dinnerware, and utensils. There’re countertop cooking appliances sufficient to make most any type of meal. The bed was very comfortable and the washer and dryer extremely convenient. Remember to bring your passwords for your streamlining apps for the Apple TV. If you’re into skiing, the location is very convenient to Breckenridge and Keystone and even Vail and Beavercreek. There is a wonderful doggie day care in Breckenridge. Advanced reservations are required. Easy parking and route 9 is well maintained. Even after a few snowstorms, we had no trouble traveling to and from Breckenridge. The location is quiet, peaceful, and relaxing. And yes, we saw a moose!
The owners were very responsive to our questions and provided excellent advice.
We highly recommend this property.
Erin and Jim’s place had everything I needed and several nice touches outfitted in the cabin to make it a great stay (extra linens, soaps, great wifi for remote work, Apple TV, etc). The location and views were great, I’d stay here again without hesitation.

A perfect place to getaway from the crowds and enjoy the natural beauty of the Colorado Rockies. However, it is also close to Breckinridge, Frisch, and the highway to get to shops, restaurants, and other trail systems.
AWESOME cabin. Loved every minute and would 100 percent return. Thank you, Erin and Jim, for your hospitality and for sharing this incredible space. Things we loved: The outdoor space with the mountain stream (seriously out of a dream). The super comfortable interior of the cabin. The grill. The awesome location just a few minutes from downtown Breck. Super close to a ton of amazing trails.
Thank you guys, again. Will look forward to hopefully returning next summer.
We had an amazing stay here for a week! Jim and Erin were very quick to respond with questions and very kind. The cabin is a perfect location, five minutes from town and no more than 5-15 minutes away from most hiking trails. It's beautifully renovated and has everything you could need. We very much enjoyed our stay here and would book again!
We had a great 2-week stay at the cabin! Jim and Erin were incredibly helpful with all of our questions and very easy to communicate with. The space is incredibly efficient - lots of cooking utensils, coffee maker, and lots of pots and pans in the vintage stove. The bathroom was very large and it was nice to have a washer and dryer. Tons of outdoor seating and we made great use of the grill. We rarely book somewhere with no reviews but we are so glad we did - the only downside of our stay was having to leave! Thanks Jim and Erin for a great stay, we will be back!
