About this property

Located on the East side of Barber lake. This 1 acre 6 bedroom 3 bath lake home holds up to 16 people max. Pontoon included. Barber lake is a fantastic 200 acre lake that offers swimming, class A Muskie fishing, boating, conoeing, kayaking, water skiing, paddle boards and tubing. 3 day minimum from June 1-Oct 1. Winter rates and 2 day rentals available from October 1 st- April 30 please inquire. Century Link internet now available. Password is on the picture by the door. Pets are welcome. $75 PER PET for your stay. Payment sent to address listed below. Steam cleaner in master bedroom for you to use if your pet has an accident in the house. The back yard sitting area is only 75 feet away from the waters edge that has a gradual slope and easy access to the lake. Water shoes recommend. Clams in the water and I don’t want u to cut your feet. There is also wildlife like geese that may come in the yard. We just added a screened in porch as well. The fire pit with swings is great for enjoying the view and just relaxing with family and friends during the day and for evening fires. Our home features a master bedroom with a king bed. The 2 nd bedroom will have 2 queen beds available, and the 3 rd bedroom has a queen bed all upstairs. We can accommodate 16 people with additional bedrooms and bathroom in the basement. 4 th bedroom has 2 twin beds available. 5 th bedroom 1-Queen and 2- twin beds and 6 th bedroom 1-Queen. There are 3 full bathrooms. They are very spacious and offer a vanity with a shower/ tub combinations and towels. The kitchen is fully equipped with stove, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, small crockpot, utensils, pressure cooker, pot/ pans, coffee pot with coffee, Kerrig, plates, glasses. ( coffee mugs, wine glasses) and tin pans for cooking. Our home has many items you will need to enjoy your stay with us, so you don’t have to pack everything and the kitchen sink to have a stress free vacation. Our home is located just 5 minutes from Winter which offers a convenience store for food and gas, 3 bars, several churches and a grocery/ hardware store, but if that isn’t what your looking for just head North to Hayward 45 minutes away for shopping, dining, and site seeing. Sawyer county is known for its mountain biking trails, ATV tails to trailer to, snowmobiling trails, fishing, hiking trails and dozens of great places to eat. Security camera located at the front door and on back porch. We hope that you will enjoy your experience with your family and friends and come back to see us again next year. Pontoon is included with the house rental. You would be responsible for filling the gas tank back to full. Gas cans will be available. Pontoon is not available after Oct. 1st. Wonderful property!!

Although the weather didn’t cooperate for swimming, kayaking and pontoon rides, we had a blast in the game room and enjoying late night movies in the comfortable livingroom or laughter filled conversations in the screen porch. We also had a great experience at the Rustic Lodge and Patti’s on 70. We received rapid responses from the host when we had questions which was appreciated.it was a great stay and we will be back in the fall!!

Second Time Staying!

This was our second year staying here and we loved it again! Such a perfect place for our annual sibling get together with our children. The swing set, toys, and walk in beach area were great for our young children. A great rental that we have loved coming to!

Young family oasis

This was a wonderful place for our family (Highchair/ pack n play). Laundry on site is convenient. Beach area was clean and good amount without weeds. Water is clear/ dark amber color. Shallow enough for my 4 yr old to be head above water off the end of the pier. Coarse/Rough sand. S barber is a small lake but peaceful. 6-8 ft deep max, so we had to be very careful tubing, avoiding the edges. Barber lake, where the boat launch is and connected by a small channel, was bigger and much deeper. The hosts were quick, polite, and attentive. My only (mild) criticism is I prefer when linens are professionally laundered, not by renters for the next guest. The living room carpet had quite a bit of dog hair on it so I had to vacuum right after we arrived. Regardless, we would absolutely stay again! The davis' have made this a place with many conveniences for their guests to relax and enjoy the lake. Thank you!

Beautiful waterfront property

We really enjoyed our stay. They had everything you could possibly need, for any type of weather. We spent a lot of time out canoeing, paddle boarding, or just reading in the sunroom. We all agree this was the perfect up north getaway. Thank you again!

Beautiful place

Not one hitch in entire stay. Great beds, comfortable furniture, fully equipped kitchen, game room awesome, best spot in the house is the screened porch looking at the lake. The beach was perfect area for dogs and 18 month old babies to play. So many water toys and board games and yard games. Close enough to town for quick drive for dinner. Loved the restaurant Patti’s on 70. Amazing beauty everywhere. Thanks for a great vaca.

Plenty of room for all of us. Very clean. We did have to shovel and snow blow to make the driveway wider since we had trucks and trailers for the snowmobiles, otherwise a great stay.

Snowmobile trip 2023

No access to snowmobile trails but that didn't bother us. The property was excellent! Clean and ready to move in for a short stay. Very nice game room in the heated garage. TV's in every room. Easy access to washer & dryer. Games available inside house. Pictures on the wall made it easy to return the property to the condition it was when we arrived. Thanks for sharing your home with us!!

Beautiful Barber Lake Home

We absolutely enjoyed our weekend in Winter! The home was perfect and had everything we needed as a group of 8. The game room was our hangout and the backyard was perfect. The home is clean, comfortable and spacious inside and outside. We would definitely stay there again.

Great Getaway

We had a great time staying here! Weather did not cooperate, but there were plenty of toys/games to keep both the adults and children entertained! All of the outdoor equipment and the beautiful fire pit were a huge plus!

Something for everyone!!

My husband and our kids (7, 12, and 15) enjoyed this property for a week. There is so much to do here if you don't want to leave the property! We brought our boat (boat landing is only a few minutes away) and we were able to dock it right at the house. We tubed, skiied, and fished. It's very shallow off the dock so on the super hot days we were able to put a couple of chairs in the water and relax. We spent many hours on the covered patio facing the lake. Also the fire pit area is so neat with the swings! We loved making s'mores there. It rained a bit one day so our family got to enjoy the fun in the garage. We had quite a few pool tournaments! A water lily pad was even delivered while we were staying. Chris messaged me and told us we could open it and use it so we did! She has thought of everything to make this a comfortable and fun getaway. We really enjoyed the area as the lake was so quiet. We barely saw any other boats out. This vacation was one of our favorites! We even booked again for next year! Thanks for being so amazing, Chris!

Perfect Family Getaway

The property was beautiful & spacious. I love that the location was private & not overcrowded. The kids could be out on the lake with the paddle boards & not have to worry about a ton of boat traffic. The garage was amazing- it has a pool table, darts, foosball, & air hockey! Perfect for a rain day & when everyone has had too much sun ;) Would definitely stay again!!

A Comfy Winter Stay

House was nicely kept and served us well as we stayed for the Birkie in nearby Hayward. We even skied out in the lake one day. Beds were very comfortable and rooms all have blackout curtains, so we all slept well! Well-equipped kitchen. Nice place!

Nothing but relaxing!!

We had a wonderful time at this property. The home was stocked with many basic items, plus extras (such as pasta, sauce, condiments, etc.). At first we were a little worried about the neighbor's dogs. The larger dog had a invisible fence collar, but the smaller dog did not. They both barked at us the first day, but seemed to ignore us for the rest of our stay. I mistakenly didn't realize the property didn't have wi-fi and the cell service was spotty. However, this turned out to be a blessing in disguise as we spent more time having fun and less time on our phones! The dishwasher was not working, but my guests were kind enough to wash the dishes after our meals. Thank you so much for an awesome vacation Christine!

We wanted to purchase a lake home in Sawyer county. We love all that it has to offer from fishing, ATV, snowmobiling etc. We want to have our family and friends enjoy this new purchase as much as we are going to.

Why they chose this property

We plan on retiring to Wisconsin for the summer months in about 10 years but in the mean time we would like to take advantage of a vacation home for the next few years.

What makes this property unique

We liked this home for its easy access to the water, but we also enjoy remodeling, so get ready for new updates and added features to come. We are very excited to get started.
