Secluded gite rural 6 kilometres from Brantome, both calming and energising
A lovingly restored and converted barn, consisting of open plan kitchen diner and living room, mezzanine and bedroom.
Can sleep 4 people in one double, 2 singles , plus a bed settee if needed for 5 people.
There is also a travel cot available .

Walk in level access shower with lovely stone sink. Fully equipped kitchen, bedding and towels provided.
Furnished and decorated in authentic French rural style buy artist host. Patio doors to outdoor seating area, and private plunge pool. (Above ground pool making it safe for children)
Forest walks very close by and uninterrupted views of the glorious night sky; as there is no light pollution you can see the Milky Way and many constellations.
Ideally situated for exploring Dordogne/Limousin, lots of great days out or activities such as canoeing, walks, cycling, swimming, and fishing.
Own transport required unless you want a total retreat in which case we can help with airport transfers.
Airports served by - Bergerac or Limoges. rain stations - Angouleme, Thiviers or Agonac. Bus from Brantome to Perigueux, the capital of the Dordogne.
Owners live in separate building and can arrange French lessons, yoga, holistic therapies, art classes if required., advance booking required
There are no bars or nightlife on the door step but if you want a complete break from the hustle and bustle, if you want to be revitalised by nature, then this is for you. Please note no animals cats or dogs.only guide dogs for the blind please.

We both grew up in UK. Keith in London and Julia in Wales, Cardiff and west wales.
Keith loves the hot temperatures reached here but for Julia it's the glorious countryside and peace that drew her.
You can hardly turn a corner without seeing a beautiful view or charming hamlet.
Keith has managed a printers business and the became a driver, Julia bought up her family before studying art and then worked for local government in the occupational therapy team for 13 years. She sometimes returns to work in the learning disabilities team.

Apart from the beautiful location and high summer temperatures, there is a certain energy here difficult to find elsewhere. It's calm and sustaining yet energising at the same time.
