Savor the restorative simplicity of country-living in this newly listed stylish cottage on a 20-acre private equestrian estate. Only 10 miles from Port Angeles, WA and 2 miles from the Freshwater Bay boat launch, this fully restored cottage sits nestled near the cool forest overlooking the barn and paddocks, allowing you a sense of seclusion yet offering the most picturesque views of rolling pasturelands speckled with horses and cattle. You will enjoy the true calm the Peninsula has to offer while observing the quiet rhythm of life on the farm that relaxes the body and mind. Large picture windows frame the beauty and a large covered porch invites you to enjoy a relaxing beverage and lose yourself in the soft sounds of the birds singing, and happy horses… Enjoy the sky on a different level as you view the morning pastels, the clearest crystal blue days, the fiery nights, and lastly the unadulterated night sky glittering with stars that will feel like you can touch them. We pride ourselves on country hospitality and are available for any inquiries or recommendations prior or during your stay, while providing you a completely private stay.

Our cottage is located only several miles from some of the most beautiful sights the Olympic Peninsula has to offer, including Salt Creek, Marymere Falls, Sol Duc Hot Springs, Storm King, and Crescent Lake just to name a few. For hikers and mountain bikers, you have direct access to the enviable Olympic Discovery Trail as it cuts directly through our property, and for water-lovers a plethora of beach-combing and water sports are minutes away.

About the Space:

The newly restored modern and spacious cottage is located just 5 miles off of Hwy 101 and accommodates up to 6 guests comfortably with 3 private bedrooms with luxurious down mattresses and duvets, as well as 2 baths that allow you to soak after an adventure-filled day. Enjoy cooking in our fully-equipped kitchen stocked with coffee, spices and oil allowing you to cook your favorite meals while staying at this ‘home away from home’. The cozy, yet open-concept dining and living rooms make for a great gathering space for family while the elevated deck allows for sunset soaked breakfasts with expansive views of the farm. For your entertainment pleasure, we offer WiFi, Netflix, Hulu.

Perfect rental

This property was perfect for my family. My husband and I had our three teenage kids with us during our venture to Olympic National Park. The property was spotless and Alicia provided LOTS of thoughtful extras such as blueberry scones, blueberry jam, a fresh container of half and half for our coffee in the am, bottled waters, chocolates, and the list goes on. Theo the cat visited us every night which the kids loved! The property was comfy and quiet. Definitely the most well stocked rental that we’ve ever stayed in. Would definitely stay again if we ever go back to Olympic!

Beautiful home with 5-star touch!

We loved everything about this home! Sparkling clean, beautiful surroundings on equestrian farm, very easy access to mountain bike trails and ONP and thoughtful touches throughout the home made us want to spend so much more time here! We spent our days hiking and biking and came home to cook for the family in the very well appointed kitchen. Alicia is the most welcoming host, we certainly home to come back again in the future!

Very Clean and Well Stocked

If you're looking for a sparkling clean and well-stocked rental, this place can't be beat. The farm fresh eggs and scone mix and chocolates by the beds that the owner left were a nice touch! We were able to go to all the main spots in Olympic National Park from here and ventured into town several times as well. We loved driving to the end of the main road by the house and watching otters and bald eagles in the evenings. It was overall a great rental!

Perfect Stay

The house was spotless and was more than enough space for my family of four. The host let the kids get involved with brushing the horses and we got attached to Theo the cat. The gas fire pit was perfect for the cool nights. The house was well appointed with anything you could possibly need. Perfect location for the wide range of things to do around the national park. First time staying on a VRBO property with the owner, but you have all the privacy you need. The owner is just a call or text away if you need anything. Don’t pass this one up!

Awesome cottage and friendly hosts

Loved the cottage and our stay! Didn't want to leave! Pics do not do its cuteness and coziness justice. Hosts were great! The kids loved meeting the puppies! Several days later and they are still talking about it! I thought the most recent vacation rental we stayed in would be hard to beat but this one was even cleaner. Cleanest place we have ever stayed. If we ever return to the area we will be sure to stay here.

Peaceful and well located cottage.

My husband and I, and another couple, spent three nights at the cottage. The location was perfect for exploring ONP. The furnishings and beds were super comfortable and the home was sparkling clean. The owners home and a horse barn are on the same property, so we had a chance to watch the horses being cared for and talked to Alicia a bit. She's a cool cat. Everything about the home made us feel welcome and spoiled. We really enjoyed our stay.

Amazing Farm Cottage Vacation

This was our second time at the farm cottage, we love this place. The cottage is exceptionally clean and comfortable and the host treats her guests with extras, more than any other place we have stayed. Location was wonderful for exploring the Olympic Peninsula and seeing all the animals on the farm was the highlight of each day.

Excellent Experience

We have stayed at numerous VRBO's from Hawaii to Nova Scotia. This is one of the best in numerous ways. Do yourself a favor and make a reservation. The setting is peaceful, the kitchen is outfitted with quality items, the beds are very comfortable with excellent bedding, and the owners are helpful and friendly.

Farm Cottage

We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage! It had everything we needed for our visit and then some. Our kids loved seeing the animals around the property and the hosts were so kind in showing them around. The cottage was very clean and homey. It made for a great starting out point for our daily adventures around the peninsula and National Park and a cozy and comfortable spot to come back to after busy days.

Beautiful place to stay!

We loved our stay at the Farm Cottage. The cottage was immaculate and very comfortable! The home was beautifully decorated and stocked with everything you might need. It was a great place to stay. Farm fresh eggs, flowers, and chocolates by the bed just to name a few. It was a perfect place to stay for our visit to the Olympic National Park.

North woods retreat

Three of us stayed there for 5 days while we took day trips to Hurricane Ridge, the Hoh rain forest, and a couple of other places. Since we flew in from out of state, we relied on the property manager to have a well-equipped house. We were not disappointed. It truly lacked for nothing, from a well-stocked kitchen to comfortable furniture and beds to bathrooms and laundry facilities that had everything you could possibly want. The hostess had all kinds of nice surprises such as scone mix and yummy blueberry jam, wine, chocolates, apples, coffee and tea, and a friendly kitty that visited the porch every afternoon. The horse facilities were spotless and the horses were fun to watch. The setting is lovely with evergreens on one side of the property. I hope we get the opportunity to go back there some time.

Fantastic cottage

The entire family loved our stay at this farm cottage. It was very clean and comfortable and had absolutely everything we could have needed, and it was beautifully decorated. The kids really loved being on a horse farm and being able to walk around and see the horses. It was a very peaceful place to come back to after a day in Olympic. We were all sad to leave!

Great home base for exploring the Olympic Peninsula

Wow! We just loved our stay here! The house was super clean and even better than expected. We LOVED meeting Theo the cat and the horses. This house is situated on a horse farm overlooking a lovely valley. Our daughter loved being able to watch all the activity from the front porch. The property owner is warm and hospitable and even let her help prepare a couple of meals for the horses (which was a very big deal!). From this property, we were easily able to get to the Salt Creek Recreation area for excellent tidepool adventures, Hurricane Ridge for fantastic views, and Crescent Lake for waterfall hikes and a cool dip on a hot day. This is a great place to stay period, but I would especially recommend it for families looking to explore Olympic National Park and the surrounding areas. We've stayed at many VRBO rentals over the years, and this one was easily one of the best. We would love to come back some day!

Beautiful cottage

We loved our stay at the farm at fresh water bay! House was ultra clean, beautifully decorated with fresh flowers and had wonderful touches that made our family felt welcomed. Friendly host & husband left fresh farm eggs, a bottle of wine, scone mix in the kitchen & water bottles & chocolates in each room. We loved petting the horses & the porch cat Theo. He greeted us each day & would curl up on our laps as we enjoyed the fire. Highly recommend this cottage to convenient location to hurricane ridge in Olympic National Park, Port Angeles & crescent cove area.

Cozy, Farm Stay

This property had everything you could need! The property owner had amazing touches of the stay everywhere from scone mix to a bottle of wine to extra toiletries. It was such a pleasant place to come back to after long days of hiking. I would highly recommend staying here!

Our favorite VRBO to date!

We absolutely loved our time at Freshwater Bay Farm! The cottage was beautifully decorated and the beds were extremely comfortable. Our host’s attention to detail did not go unnoticed. A delicious bottle of wine, scone mix, jam, and farm fresh eggs were provided, as well as, bottles of water, tissues, and chocolates. Chocolates! The view is unbelievable and every morning we woke up with a sweet and friendly cat (Theo) curled up on the patio chairs. We spent three relaxing days here as we explored multiple destinations in Olympic National Park. Our host even gave us a tour of her farm and the majestic horses that she takes care of. This has been our family’s favorite VRBO stay to date!
