AMAZING NEWER HOME WITH LAKE VIEWS, steps away from shops and restaurants.

This amazing NEWER home (2020) has all new furnishings. Within walking distance of downtown shops and restaurants, it boasts of outdoor living space with full deck and views of Kalamazoo Lake just across Lake Street. “Under the deck is custom-block patio with an under-deck roof”, No leaks during any rainstorm-- plus a TV with SONOS, two speakers to serve patio, natural-gas fire pit and Weber propane grill. Interior is all natural maple flooring, top quality cabinets with quartz tops, Gourmet kitchen with Thermador appliances. All bathrooms have ceramic floors and showers. The Carriage house (above garage area attached to house by deck) has living area, separate bedroom, bath, mini kitchen with microwave and mini refrigerator. There is also a sleeper bed in second-story loft and in carriage house. Everything in this home is quality custom craftsmanship, with nothing held back. All TV’s in home equipped with SONOS. There is no comparison to it in the area.
*Note*. Photos and virtual tour were done just days before window treatments were installed in all bedrooms and bath with windows. Also, TV installed on patio, additional landscaping, and landscape lighting have been added since that time. I have scheduled updated photos and virtual tour when weather in 2022 is conducive to highlight these upgrades.

Great Experience

The house is great for a bigger group and is exactly as presented in the photos -- new, clean, well laid out. The kitchen is pretty decently stocked with cookware, glassware and utensils. The beds were comfortable. The outdoor spaces are very nice, easy to access and well designed. There is parking for 5 cars which was really nice. We will definitely stay here again. There was one small confusion on the check-out time. Our VRBO agreement was for 11:00 check-out but the notes left on the counter when we arrived stated 10:00. The cleaning crew showed up around 10:35 a bit stressed that they were late and needed the house. I showed them our VRBO terms and they started cleaning the upstairs which was already vacated, so not a big deal ultimately. Communication from ownership was otherwise clear, timely and helpful.

Beautiful

My family enjoyed staying in this beautiful house. Cleanliness of the house was exceptional. It was a perfect location for walking into downtown Saugatuck. We all enjoyed the outside patio with plenty of seating for everyone. Overall, the house met all our needs and expectations.

Bachelorette party

We had a blast! Tom was amazing every step of the way. I had a lot of questions prior to our stay and he was very attentive and responsive. The house is beautiful and in such a great locations! The beds were very comfortable and we loved spending time around the fire pit! Thank you so much. We are all talking about the next time we could come back and staying at your place. High School Girlfriend weekend

The home was amazing-every last detail!! Also this property is in a perfect location-parked cars and didn’t touch them again until the drive home! We had such a wonderful time here enjoying it with lifetime friends. Tom was great to work with and so accessible and responsive too! Lovely Home - So much space!

We had 9 adults stay for a wedding and it was truly the perfect home. Everyone had their own space and then some. Tom was great in communication. House is very close to downtown Saugatuck, as well as downtown Douglas and Lake Michigan. We would highly recommend!

Bachelorette party heaven!

We rented this house to celebrate my bachelorette party and it was perfect! There was plenty of space for 12 people and amazingly, the kitchen never felt crowded. All the furniture was comfortable, the outdoor spaces were lovely, and the fire pit was a breeze to use! Thank you for sharing this beautiful space

What a home!

There are times you check out a property online and then experience something much less after you arrive… that was absolutely not the case with this home. It was outstanding in every way! Kudos to everyone involved starting with the Property manager. This home lives up to its billing. Our family of 14 spent the week in downtown Saugatuck… about a 10 minute walk from this home. Boating , restaurants and shopping were all convenient. This was a “Wow” for us.

Very Good

Great property. We had a great time. Only problem was last morning when fire alarm went off for no reason. It was on at least a couple hours waking up some of our family. Fire dept. came & they could not turn it off. The only appliance on when it started was coffee pot so have no idea what the problem was. Other than that all was good.

Fantastic house for a large group close to downtown

The house was perfect for our large group (eight adults + eight kids). There are lots of beds (and sofabeds and sofas) for everyone to sleep on. The home appears to be newly built. The grill and the fire table were nice amenities, and the kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cooking equipment. Proximity to downtown Saugatuck is perfect - just a 5-10 minute walk to the shops and restaurants. Check-in and check-out were easy. We loved using the Sonos speakers out the patio. Overall this is a beautiful home in a great location for a large group looking to enjoy Saugatuck.

Family get together

Our family, 7 adults and 4 children ages 2 years to 2 months, had a fantastic stay. The house is large with plenty of room to gather, as well as space to retreat for rest. The house is in a quiet spot but just a few blocks to restaurants and bars in Saugatuck. The house was very clean and outfitted well. I would happily book again. Thank you!

I cannot say enough good things about this property. Everything that we needed was right there. Downtown was a short walk from the house. I texted Tom with questions about parking and he responded immediately. We will definitely stay at the property again.

Better than pictures

Gorgeous, massive property. Group of 15 of us stayed, super spacious. Loved the outdoor space with fireplace, plenty of patio furniture, and tv/sonos. Super close to downtown shopping/dining area. Only feedback was lack of toiletries like body wash/shampoo (not a huge issue, just something most VRBOs have so just forgot to pack enough). Would 100% stay again!

Great location and property!

I had a group of 12 stay at Tom's property and it was stunning! The home is beautiful and has great entertaining space, both indoor and outdoor, and plenty of space for sleeping. We found ourselves drinking coffee outside each morning, either on the upper deck or between the house and garage. The home has everything you'll need - including plates and cups for a crowd, a giant pantry and refrigerator. The only thing I wish was provided were small bathroom toiletries: shampoo, body wash, etc. The location of this property is to die for. We walked back and forth from downtown Saugatuck multiple times as it's only a 5-10 minute walk depending on where you're going. We also enjoyed Oval Beach which is less than a 10 minute drive away. Tom was a wonderful host and was always quick to respond. Check in/out was smooth as well. Would highly recommend this property and hope to vacation here again soon!

Short walk to shops & restaurants

This house is a nice location as it's just a short walk to restaurants and shops. There was plenty of room for eight adults and four children. Checking in and out was very simple. We enjoyed our stay there

Already Thinking of a Return Trip

Lovely house. Lovely property. All the amenities. We had a wonderful and relaxing time. Close to all the beaches (very short drives with little children…possible walk/bike ride for adults). We really liked the close proximity to downtown Saugatuck.

A Wonderful Stay!

Our family (8 adults, 4 kids ages 1-6) was recently lucky enough to enjoy a week-long stay at Lake Street and we could not have found a better place to stay! Not only did everyone have their own space (Grammie and Grandpa could hide in the Carriage House and watch The Crown, all by themselves!), there was also ample parking in the driveway and garage for our group. The location is amazing, the house is a short walk to Downtown Saugatuck, with its delightful shops, restaurants, and chain ferry, and a short drive to both Oval and Douglas Beaches. The house was clean, comfortable, full of all the necessities we could possibly need for the week. We could not have asked for a better place to stay for a wonderful vacation! Two thumbs up, 10 out of 10, would definitely recommend, 5 stars. Thank you so much!

Family vacation

We had our family vacation with 4 families and 14 people stay at Tom’s house and had a wonderful time. The house itself was fantastic and more than enough room for all of us. The additional living space over the garage was a huge bonus! It was extremely clean and beautiful inside. We spent a ton of time outside by the fire or on the patio (even when it rained we could sit in the covered area and still enjoy the outdoors. The location to downtown was a huge bonus as well. We would walk down to eat and shop every day. We would definitely stay at this location again if we were to come back to Saugatuck. Thank you Tom!

I am a general building contractor, and designed/built this home. I raise meat and layer chickens on my 25 acre farm in Bertrand Township, MI. I also enjoy cycling.

Why they chose this property

I purchased this property due to its spectacular location, and then designed/built this home. Also because it's a very special and unique community with lots of history. I enjoy cycling from Saugatuck to Holland on the Bee-Line Trail when I stay in town.

What makes this property unique

Location, and comfortable living space. Easy walk (0.3 mile) to restaurants and shops on Butler St in town.
Short drive to Beach and downtown Douglas. Fennville, South Haven, and Holland all within a 25 minute car ride.
