Had 3 lovely days at Brooksyde. A very comfortable house, a home form home seaside retreat. A great base to visit Lyme Regis, Sidmouth etc. Beer is a really lovely little village with a few independent shops and restaurants. The voucher for the next door shop was a nice surprise. Would highly recommend
The family had a great time when we stayed in Beer. The property is very spacious and well presented with plenty of local amenities within walking distance including 2 pubs across the road.
Would happily recommend others renting this property.
A great house in a great location literally a minute from the beach. Nicely furnished and the beds were comfortable which isn’t always the case with holiday rentals.
The house was lovely and in a fabulous location, close to beach, restaurants & parking. Comfortable and reasonably quiet considering it’s in the middle of the High Street. Really could do with some window privacy screening from the street & hotel opposite. Would recommend.
Our family loved the comfy homey cottage in the middle of the village. Short walk to the beach, pub, shops but also nice to crash in and relax. Great books games and puzzles the boys enjoyed in the evening, Zoe was so helpful answering many questions for frazzled travelers that we found later spelled out in her handy binder. We love Beer and the boys are already asking to go back.
Location was ideal for amenities, walking and local bus service. Beach a couple of minutes walk away, where Beer Fisheries is a gem, we purchased fresh fish most days, delicious!
Access to South West Coastal path very close. House is lovely, comfortable and clean. Zoe was on hand to deal with any enquiries. Would return.
We have just spent another lovely stay in Brooksyde Cottage Beer. The place is perfect for spending time in Beer and surrounding area easy access to the beach and coast path and a good bus service to various places. The house is very clean and tidy also kept to a very high standard.
There is parking outside of the property certain times of the day and a long stay car park which is paid for as part of the rental a couple of minutes walk. Beer is a lovely village and Brooksyde is a perfect place to stay and enjoy it.
Zoe and Kevin provided all the information we needed regarding parking and access to the property well before our visit. On arrival everything was spotless. The house is comfortably furnished with good sized accommodation and a lot of thought has clearly gone into it. The location is perfect, really close to the beach, shops, restaurants and pubs. Beer is a lovely village with access to great walks. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Brooksyde House and would definitely book the property again. Thanks to Zoe and Kevin for a fantastic stay.
Our overall stay was great beautiful house great location spotless. Then we found a couple of dirty plates put back in the cupboard, the little box for tea bags waste etc near the sink wasn't emptied and then I found the bin in the bathroom wasn't emptied either. I sent a message to the owner but have not had a reply. We paid an added £45 for a cleaner that didn't do a complete job .
The house was well equipped and located in the centre of the village, near to the beach and even nearer to shops two of which were next door.
A lot of thought had gone into furnishing and providing things needed. Though there were no children in our party there were lots of games, pens etc to keep children amused.
If you want to be in the centre of the village, then this is a great property, with everything you need on hand for a wonderful stay in Beer… a stones throw from the beach… wonderful time had by all.
We had a fab time staying in Beer. Brooksyde is a fantastic place to stay and Beer is one of the loveliest places we’ve been to. Can’t wait to come and stay again :)
We had the best time in Beer at this lovely property! Photos don’t do it justice as bedrooms have been updated and the whole house is beautiful, it has everything you need, great selection of toys to entertain the kids and games for all, the location is excellent and the village has a really relaxed charm about it with independent shops and eateries. nearby Lyme Regis was also fantastic. Will 100% return to this wonderful place, thank you so much for a great stay!
Excellent stay in Beer accommodation very comfortable. Stunning seaside village I'd really recommend. Easy to find and a beautiful setting. Great value 👏
Lovely peaceful base in an ideal location to explore the SW Coast path in both east and westerly directions. Lots of home from home comforts.
Just what we needed for fresh air and a sense of space as we visited while quiet.
Walking in the area is stunning.
Would definitely stay again and recommend.

We love to be by the sea whatever the weather as we are both 'ex' divers. We have enjoyed the area for many years as a couple and now with our family.
Why they chose this property
Our passion is the sea and we have spent many holidays with family and friends in Beer and and surrounding areas such as Lyme Regis. We love the traditional fishing village feel, with the local fisherman selling his catch of the day from their shop on the beach, the beach cafe 'Ducky's' selling crab sandwiches and the small boats you can hire from the beach.
What makes this property unique
We love this house as we are literally a minute from the beach. We have side sea views from the living room and main bedroom.
