Centrally located 10 minutes north of the Lihue airport, next to the Coconut Marketplace. Islander on the Beach is sitting on 6 acres of beautifully manicured gardens with swaying palms trees and cooling trade winds. This ocean front resort features a gorgeous pool and hot tub and is home to the local Sand Bar.

This ground floor studio has 2 full size beds, a fully stocked kitchenette with small fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker and tea kettle (no cooktop). Perfect for a small family or traveling friends. Wireless Internet, smart TV, cable, beach chairs, beach towels and a cooler for your exploring day trips. Close to shopping, beaches and activities. Good location but bad smell in the apartment
Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location is good.There is a really bad humidity smell inside the apartment that makes it difficult to bear. The AC is really loud. No main light, it gets really dark in the evening, and difficult to do anything in the kitchen then. Very old apartment. Not really clean either. A lot of sand outside that had not been cleaned. Would not rent again.

Wonderful spot!
The property was clean and provided a lot of amenities for us to use. We loved the location to view the sunset from the beach each morning and the pool right out the back door to enjoy an evening swim. There were shops just outside the buildings. When I asked the manager a question she was quick to answer. 10/10 would return again!

Honeymoon in Kauai
This place was close to the airport which made it nice for a late arrival time. It was clean and felt comfortable. The location was great to catch a sunrise. The entry way was beautiful because of all the trees and flowers. It wasn’t noisy at all.

Cette location est bien située par rapport à l’île propreté des lieux tout près du Coconut Market Place mais épicerie pas loin avec toutes les commodités ( beaucoup moins cher) c’est une île donc très cher mais ça vaut le coup pour les panoramas magnifiques la végétation luxuriante et faire l’excursion en catamaran pour visiter la Napali Coast

Amazing Experience
The location/resort is gorgeous, felt magical our entire stay. The place was clean and well stocked, amenities were great, only thing we noticed missing was a luggage rack but we made do just fine. We hope to be back again, a perfect experience.

It was a good location. Pretty area. Nice unit. It was nice to be near amenities without being in a resort, especially since we live in Hawaii anyway. The little pool was just enough for the kiddo and when she was done with that, the beach was right there for her to play in the sand. If you are looking for a place that splits the distance between the attractions in Waimea and Hanalei, this would be my choice.

Kauai vacation
Property is beautiful, many amenities close by. Beds could be replaced, knives sharpened and something to set suitcases on would be nice. A little surprised by beach, no maintenance, but that didn’t keep us from enjoying the beauty of this island and the people here. I would highly recommend it

Everything You Need Yet Opportunities To Make It Better
The property is well appointed with comfortable beds, large bathroom, outside seating, utensils, television, WIFI, small appliances and beach accessories. The beach is close at hand as is the pool and hot tub. Check in is a breeze with the on site key lock box providing immediate access to the room. Shopping and decent restaurants are within easy walking distance. All good. Parking is a real problem, largely due to carelessness of people not paying attention to the lines of their selected space. The facility should provide well worded reminders to offenders. The room is a bit cramped. The TV could easily be hung on the wall to provide space for the large coffee maker freeing up much needed counter space. There is adaquate space to put in a larger dresser for folded cloths. Finally, there is no stopper for the kitchenette sink wasting water to do dishes, the is no stopper in the bath sink causing a big concern for those who wash gas perm contact lenses daily and, the BBQ grills [the only way to cook] are in disrepair and filthy. All that said we do consider this property a good value and recommend it a viable alternative. Note: the $500 security deposit is paid immediately when reserving the property but has yet to be refunded even though we left the property better than we found it.

Great place!
The property was well stocked and had a high chair and pack n play for our little one. Small but we knew that from the start and made it work! Right next to the pool, which is nice with a little one and the beach below the property is great!

Good value overall
We had a good stay without any major issues. We needed to clean a few things before we settled in for the first night. There was something on the wall in the bathroom and the toilet was loose and kind of sideways. We mopped the floor because it smelled like feet. You don't want to come in late at night or you'll have difficulties finding a parking spot. Other than that everything was excellent.

Great stay
The studio is in a great Location, not only the resort is beautiful, in front of the beach, with some shops and restaurants around but also Wailua is in the center of the island, easy to go to any direction. The studio is very confortable and charming. I think it can have some small improvements, but it was a very good stay. (The hair driyer was not workig, and a kettle for tea drinkers would be nice)

Convenient location
Easy access to north and south shore. Nice shopping center across the parking lot. Beach access, but pretty windy so waves were big but thats due to the time of year. Nice walkway along the beach. Great location to watch the sunrise. Pool is not heated. There was a musty kind of smell we couldnt get rid of. Toaster oven might need replacing. Took forever to cook frozen lumpia. All the essentials were there (plates, cups, silverwear, etc.). Overall nice convenient place. Little outdated (furntiure shows the wear and tear). A little crammed if there are 4 adults in your party since its a studio but doable. Would stay here again.

Relax in Paradise

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location of the Islander is ideal for a stay in Kauai. It is close to everything, walking distance to a great shopping center that includes a market, excellent restaurants, it's on the ocean and has a nice pool. In addition, it is centrally located with easy access to both Princeville as well as Poipu. We made the property work for us however it was not the stay we were hoping for. To be fair the pricing was probably in line with the accommodations. Just know if you book here it's more of a place to hang your hat during the day and a good launching pad for doing things on the island rather than a place you will want to hang out at for the day etc. Had I read the fine print I would have understood that there was NO place to cook anything outside of a toaster oven. There is a refrigerator, but it is dorm room style. You won't want to bring anything back to the room to eat as there is little space in the room for that. There is an outside patio which is nice. In short, the condos are older and outdated, they are what one would call "sufficient". The pool is ok, loved the bar at the pool. Being near the water is a huge plus however the beach is not very accommodating for stretching out on a towel or for swimming as the pacific is a bit rough in this area. The beach is however beautiful, and you can roll out of bed to easily see spectacular sunrises. It has a nice boardwalk with GREAT accessibility to Lava Lava a fantastic restaurant. It may have been just me but trying to understand how to get into the property was challenging. They use a tumbler realtor lock, and it took me a long time to figure it out. You communicate with the landlord or management company via text and for the most part they were responsive. I think they would just wait me out when I asked questions knowing that eventually I would figure out on my own the answer to my question. They were always nice and polite. I am not sure this would be my pick in the future, but maybe.

Beautiful stay in Kapaa
My friend and I had a great stay in Kapaa. The beds were very comfortable. Loved the lanai opened into the garden. Just a quick walk to the pool or pathway by the ocean. Close to restaurants and shops. Only issue we were not informed about is needing a parking pass from the front desk so we got a warning on our car the first night. Easily rectified and we had no issue the rest of our stay.

Great stay!
Great stay with everything we needed including beach chairs/snorkel gear. We loved that it is ground level and the porch was lovely and near but not too close to the pool. Also close to Lava Lava Beach club which was delicious! Only item to note is there was a weird smell that we could not get rid of throughout our stay…
