We stayed here for a long weekend in June, with some friends, a total of 4 adults, 5 kids, and 2 dogs. The kids had a blast, between the triple bunk bed setup, the trampoline, pedal boats, fire pit, and fishing off the dock. The dogs had a ton of room to run around outside in the giant yard, and to jump into the lake off the dock. And the adults enjoyed some beautiful sunsets and boat rides (from an excellent pontoon rental nearby at Ox-Bo marine). There is something for everyone!
The house was bigger than the pictures showed, and fit all of us easily. The beds were clean and comfortable, and there were plenty of kitchen utensils for us to use for our own cooking.
The property is located a good distance from any large town, which means the lake doesn't have much traffic and is pretty quiet. It's about 10 minutes to Hustisford (ice cream and pizza), and 30 minutes to Beaver Dam (where we enjoyed a small farmers market). There's a pub with a really good fish fry on Lake Sinissippi that you can boat up to.
The lake itself was pretty murky, but that didn't stop the kids from jumping in after a short boat ride to slightly deeper waters (the water near the house is only 3 feet deep, and the lake itself is only max 6-8 feet deep). We caught some catfish too, but the fishing was slow.
The owners were fantastic about prompt communications through the entire process. They even left out a goodie bucket of s'mores fixings that the kids really loved!
What a great place!
