Lovely house, helpfull owner, perfect spot to visit the isle of skye by car or the highlands.
The house is lovely, with a nice fireplace, enough room for 4 or 5 persons.
The house was clean and has good information on how to use the place. Our kids loved to play around the house, they could do that safe. At night it is a very quiet place, in the morning you can here cars that are passing but you get used to that.
The owner ja very helpfull and sweet. If you habe a quistion she answered them very quickly.
With 20 minutes you can be on the isle of skye by car. But you can also easy visit other place as the highlands, loch ness etc.
Our
We enjoyed our stay at the cottage very much. Everything we needed was there, except the coffee apparatus, we found later in the hall closet funny enough. But that was no problem because we had our own way to make coffee. The cottage is a great starting point for many hill walks and hiking trails in the surroundings. So we had a great time!

Bon séjour familial
Gite propre et confortable, bien équipé. Le seul bémol est que le gîte est au bord de la grand route.
The cottage is comfortably furnished and very clean. We loved being able to have a real fire during some wet weather. I found the owner really helpful and got back to me quickly when I had a query. Great location in magnificent scenery.
The cottage is in a great location geographically, with easy access to many places: we walked around Plockton, Morvich, Letterfearn, Glenelg etc. Also visited gardens at Armadale and Atterdale. Comfy beds, well equipped and plenty of space.
The cottage is close to the main road, however, and road noise can be an issue. We're used to using ear plugs at night, so it didn't bother us too much. There is no secure outdoor play area for young children, so they wouldn't be able to play out unsupervised.
Other than that it was a great base for our holiday and the area is stunning.
We had a fantastic holiday at this lovely cottage. It's location is good as you can get out and about quickly to so many places, it's such a beautiful area.
It had everything we needed and the beds were really comfortable. Having a nice cosy fire in the evenings was great. Would definitely recommend.

3m from busy main road
3m away from a busy main road; ruined the stay. Heard road traffic throughout the night and construction work early morning for weekdays of our week. Even with double glazed windows closed our sleep was very disturbed. Garden extremely unpleasant. Didn’t spend any time out there. Only useful for drying laundry. Very disappointed with our stay at this place. Should have checked it’s location on google map! Would not stay here again or recommend it unfortunately.
Everything as described. Clean, cosy and an ideal local. Perfect for branching out and exploring and then relaxing after a busy day. Happy to recommend.
This traditional cottage has a homely feel about it. Facilities are modern. The bath was very welcome after walking in the hills. Kitchen is well stocked with cutlery, tableware and utensils. Two bath/shower rooms/toilets were appreciated even with just three staying. I would stay here again.
The cottage was super and so very cosy.
We lit the fire a few times while h was really cosy.
The booking process was very easy and efficient.
Communication with the owners was excellent and very very helpful.
We made the very best of being close to so many wonderful places.
Hiked Beinn Eighe, Quiraing, Old Man of Storr, Taskavaig, Fairy Pools, Coral beach, Dunvegan, Glen Brittle , Elgol and saw otters in the sea, stags, golden eagles, seals, hooded crows, banners..
Brilliant stay .
Thank you .
Diolch yn fawr iawn.

Sweet, cosy and inviting cottage - A beautiful home away from home!
Our family of four stayed here for a week in August.
The location was great and allowed us to see quite a fair bit of the highlands. We went on several day trips, to Skye, Eilean Donan Castle, Glen Shiel, Applecross, Torridon, Drumnadrochit, Loch Ness and Fort Augustus, Plockton to name a few... We could have easily stayed there another week as there are so many wonderful things to see and do in this gorgeous part of the world.
The cottage was lovely, very clean and very well equipped. It had a very welcoming feel to it. The kitchen had everything we needed and more, the beds were very comfortable, and there were plenty of towels available. The fireplace was a great bonus, and came a good supply of logs for us to use. Although it was August, we enjoyed sitting together by the fire in the evenings after spending our days in the Scottish weather. Thank you very much to Audrey, your house is wonderful, cosy and inviting. A truly amazing experience!
Belle petite maison , très confortable , bien aménagée située idéalement pour profiter de l'Ecosse. sauvage.
Séjour très agréable malgré un temps écossais.
Merci aux propriétaires

Very good location for exploring Glenshiel. Clean and well equipped family cottage. Helpful host.
We used the cottage as a base for walking in Glenshiel and day trips to Skye. It was well located for this - a car is essential. We had 2 and there was plenty of off-road parking space. There were only 2 of us but cottage would be fine for family of 4. It is close to main road so there’s some noise from cars. Easy reach by car to Brothers and Sisters of Kintail and South Glenshiel ridge. Glenshiel is a stunning valley. A five minute drive to pub - Kintail lodge which has ok pub food. The cottage itself was very pleasant with a good shower, 2 loos, snug sitting room and well equipped kitchen. Audrey, the host, was helpful and quick to respond. All in all, a very good experience and we’d happily go back.

Why they chose this property
The cottage is in the village of Inverinate, just round the corner from Glen Shiel and not far from the shore of Loch Duich. It is an ideal base from which to explore the Highlands and Skye (14miles away). Many fabulous walks e.g. Five Sisters of Kintail, Falls of Glomach, Morvich to Glen Affric. Eilean Donan Castle is less than 4 miles away and a scenic 14 mile drive takes you to the pretty coastal village of Plockton with numerous restaurants and activities.
