The property is a good size (so room for a family). It is great, full of quirky Nick Mack’s! Its location is slightly away from Newquay (which is a good thing!). The pub, ca. 50 yards away, serves good food and good beer! Access to Porth is via a local footpath and is easy!
The information given by VRBO is very, very, misleading. The dog restriction of 10kg is NOT true. The check out time is wrong and so is the check in time! Contact names given are also wrong! If you can, contact the owner!!!
A beautiful well maintained cottage which met all our expectations and more,Lots of nautical themed touches In the garden,Would love to come again in the future
Such a wonderful stay, everything you could want and more for a holiday home.
We had a lovely break, communication was great from start to finish. It is obvious that the owners have really thought it through as it had everything we could have wanted.. and more. Thank you for letting us stay, we look forward to returning in the future.
Jasmine cottage is a cute wee cottage that has everything you need. We loved the outdoor space and appreciated the racks for rinsing and drying our wetsuits.. just wished the back garden had got the sun in the evening! Sue was very helpful during the whole booking and arrivals process and was so thoughtful to have a cream tea for us to arrive to.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Nice village where we enjoyed a nice walk into the town centre from. The treats left for us and the dog were a nice touch. The local pub is a stones throw away from the cottage, somewhere where we enjoyed some great food and drinks in. Would go back again.
We had a fabulous time in this beautiful, quaint cottage. It's well equipped, comfortable and in a lovely location. Lots of good walks in the surrounding area and always the welcoming pub, The Farmer's Arms, to pop into on the way back.
Just come home today after staying here for a week everything you need is in this property and more I expected the property to be small before I got there due to it being a cottage I was very surprised excellent size and perfectly fits it's village location great pub just 30 yards walk from the cottage and only 10 minutes walk to porth beach the housekeeper Lauren was excellent she texted me a couple of times during my stay asking if anything needed I requested more towels and they were delivered next day she even texted me on way home as something was left excellent property and excellent communication from the word go from both the owner and the housekeeper will definitely be booking this property again thanks Richard Harrison
This is the 2nd time we have stayed at Jasmine Cottage. The communication i had with the owner was really prompt. The cottage is lovely clean and cosy and has everything we needed. The welcome pack is really appreciated after a long drive down. The cottage is ideally situated for plenty of walks. We walked to Morgan porth over the cliff tops 1 day stopping for coffee at water gate bay. Walks into Newquay is about 40mins. And perran beach is only 10 mins great for the dog. We would definitely recommend and will return at some point.
We had a very comfortable stay in this charming 16th century cottage. A couple of problems we had were quickly and efficiently resolved by the owners.

Beautiful cottage.
If I could live in Newquay this is where I would like to live. The cottage is beautiful, clean and the patio area is perfect. When we came back to the cottage after outings even my two small dogs couldn't stop wagging their tails when we opened the cottage door. The location couldn't be better. It is in a lovely village but 10 minutes walk along the fields you come out at Porth Beach. Perfect walk with your dogs. You can see the local pub "the Farmers Arms"
from your front door. A beautiful church is the view from the cottage. The chimes were a little annoying for the first day but you actually get used to them and now I am home I miss them. A lot of thought has gone into the cottage and there are loads of pretty ornaments.
The lady next door was very helpful and pleasant. McDonalds, Lidl, Morrisons are about 8 minutes away on a pretty industrial area. There is a small co-op about 10 minutes walk away. The weather wasn't too good but to be honest it didn't really matter. Porth Beach not far away by car and if you continue driving there are some amazing beaches. Really lucky to find this place. The owner Sue was pleasant to deal with.

Gorgeous cottage
Jasmine cottage has been tastefully renovated. We enjoyed our stay it was like home from home. The cottage was spotlesly clean when we arrived. And the little welcome cream tea was much appreciated after a 7hr trip. The cottage has everything you need for a relaxing holiday. We all slept very well in the comfy beds with quality bed linen.
The garden is fully enclosed and is a good sun trap It's ideally situated within walking distance of porth beach for a walk with the dog at night. And it was a 30mins walk in to Newquay. We also walked on the tops to Watergates bay which took 45mins. I would recommend this cottage to friends. And hopefully we will return.

Cosy cottage with everything you could possibly need & more, plus an amazing courtyard garden
Communication before our stay by both owner and their housekeeper was great, which made us feel confident we'd made the right choice.
The cottage has everything you could possibly need and more. Small niggle, randomly there are lots of small pans, and for the 2 normal sized ones only 1 pan lid (made cooking a roast one night interesting but we managed it by sharing the lid around the pans lol !).
Love the creative decor in the courtyard garden, even on a dull day it was bright and cheery!
Ideally located for exploring all areas.
Farmers Arms nearby does fab meals, and can highly recommend the Cod End (for fish & chip), and Maharajah (for Indian) in Newquay, plus the Falcon Inn in St Mawgan is a must.
We'll be back!!

Home away from home
Lovely cottage in the old part of St Columb Minor opposite the church. Spotlessly clean with a welcome of scones, clotted cream and jam for afternoon tea and even milk. Everything was thought of for us, towels, hand soap, the basics that we all pack when going self catering. The local pub one minute walk was ideal and we were given a parking spot there so easy. The cottage was spacious for us and our small dog. Small but lovely garden to sit and enjoy our morning coffee before going on the various walks. We walked to Porth beach but only dog friendly after 7pm so we went to Watergate Bay via the old goat trail which starts opposite the cottage, walk along the headland which gave wonderful views across to Newquay and to Watergate Bay and beyond. Easy walk once on the head land and lovely beach on arrival, drinks and lunch in the Wax bar which was dog friendly. Lusty beach dog friendly well worth a walk to as bar restaurant which served great breakfasts. Fab cottage and lovely area in the country side but close enough for the surfers who would want to go into Newquay.

Wonderfully quaint, clean and well located.
We had a lovely time at Jasmine cottage and so did our 2 small dogs. The cottage was spotless with many nice touches having been left for our arrival. It started us off on a sticky cream tea slope !
The cottage has a lovely small courtyard garden where you can barbecue all within a Cornish garden sun trap . For the evening there is a warm log fire if you need it, comfy sofas and tv/DVD player.
Upstairs is spacious, clean with comfy beds and lovely fresh linen.
The cottage is well appointed - close to a friendly pub - The Brewers Arms.
It's all well positioned in a small village near Newquay with easy access to all nearby attractions and places to visit.
The owners have really put some care and attention into Jasmine cottage with a little explantion as to the cottages history which dates back 4 /500 years, and is situated opposite an even old church.
Would highly recommend , and highly recommend the excellent communications from the owners.
