Best weekend we’ve had in a long time, the property was so nice and relaxing! Would absolutely recommend to anyone and everyone looking for somewhere to stay in the area. Was a lot bigger than we were expecting, as well.

Quiet and remote hot tub was amazing and eveything was clean and ready for us when we checked in
All in all the property was very nice and secluded, which allowed peace of mind to let the dogs wonder. Close to Old Man's Cave but about 30 minutes from town, which hasn't too bad. Several maintenence items that I would have liked to see improved, none of which were deal breakers.
Our family left refreshed with lots of great new memories! Old Man Cave was a hit and free! This was a fun getaway trip for the twins (age 8) who go back to school next week. We all had a good time. One day it rained but no problem. On the covered wrap-around deck the adults played cards and the children and pooches ran around with their toys. We all enjoyed the hot tub and porch swings. Cooking and cleanup was a breeze in the well-equipped kitchen. The long steep driveway was easy enough without 4-wheel drive. Hidden Heights is well named. It feels like a cozy cabin, even though it sleeps 12. Thank you for letting us bring and enjoy our pooches, they loved the open woods on all sides.
Cabin was well equipped. With bedrooms on three floors it allowed our family to spread out. Furniture needs updated. Full sized beds were not comfortable and mattresses need replaced. Dishwasher lower rack has wheels missing and doesn’t slide in and out easily. Back yard was great for playing games. Driveway had a gravel section that was hard to get over going up the hill. The community pool was a great escape from the heat and enjoyed by all!
We had a wonderful stay with our extended family and appreciated the location. If you're prioritizing the parks, it's perfect. A little far if you want civilization. We didn't, so it was perfect!
Everything was cleaned very well. Plenty of linens throughout the whole stay. Wonderful customer service!!! They're very polite, accommodating, helpful!! Definitely going to stay at this place again.
The cabin was amazing. It was better than we had hoped. It was so clean and well kept. The only down side was the wooden steps. Even with shoes on we fell down them a handful of times. Otherwise, that was the only downside. We had an amazing time!
My friends and I really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was spacious enough for us, and the covered patio surrounding the cabin was perfect for the rainy days we ran into.
Thank you to The Chalets!
Upon arrival everything seemed to be ok. There were things that I tried not to complain about like dust on the light fixture in the basement and mouse poop in between the sectional in the basement. This made me apprehensive since these things are part of minimal cleaning in my opinion. This went against the “extra measures” of cleaning I thought were in place due to covid. I used my products to disinfect and we continued to make the best of our time. The last night we were up a little later because of issues with the oven smoking from inside of the actual unit. There was no emergency phone number provided to call, and the 800 number only had a voicemail. I left a message, and the call was never returned. We ended up unplugging the oven and having to open the windows. In beginning to pack our food from the cabinets in boxes, we saw roaches coming out of the island in the kitchen. This was extremely bothersome! I do understand that we are staying in a cabin and there will be bugs- I however, have not experienced nor anticipated experiencing roaches in any of my previous stays at other locations. The last night needless to say I did not get much rest. When we were ready to check out in the morning I called to follow up with the office per my instructions and found that they did place an order with their maintenance to check out the issue with the oven. I expressed my disappointment with the neglect to follow up and communicate that to us, as well as to check on us and our safety, as well as the property. I was informed that because I said I unplugged the oven and “sounded” like things were ok- they thought things were fine. I expressed that there should have been follow up to make sure. From a safety perspective, as well as from a customer service perspective. As we prepared to go down the long driveway to depart - it had not been plowed or salted since we arrived. My daughters suv went into a ditch and we had to pay for a tow to get her out. For the amount of money that was spent on the accommodations I expected more.
My only complaint is that I was told we had a propane grill, there was only a small charcoal grill. With nine people it was very hard to cook on. Plus, I did notice the other chalets did have a propane grill. They told me they just switched them out for charcoal, not true, the grill was old.
