Lovely cottage in a beautiful area
The cottage was exactly as described. It was immaculate and the kitchen was well stocked with anything you might need. The owner was helpful and knowledgeable. The butcher had a wide variety of lamb, beef, veal and mutton. Will definitely stay again.

Comfy Cottage
Very well equipped and comfortable property. Great location with lots of walks from the door and good pubs just a stroll away. Stuart the owner was very helpful and we appreciated the little touches like spare reading glasses etc. Bishops Castle is a lovely place with some interesting shops, great butchers and delicatessen. Can highly recommend a stay here and would love to return in the future.

About the host

Host profile image
Hi Stuart born and lived in Shropshire all my life, Jane moved here from London 40 years ago. We both dance with the Bishop's Castle Morris sides and love walking in the Shropshire hills with our dog Stanly. We are both mostly retired.

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with the cottage as soon as we saw it despite it needing a lot of work . The cottage has great character and amazing views from the south facing garden over looking the lovely town of Bishop's Castle. Its has been a pub in it's distant past.

What makes this property unique

Warm cosy cottage with everything you could need for a great holiday in beautiful Shropshire with it's green and rolling hills on the English/Welsh border. Bishop's Castle has two breweries, great places to eat and visit. Close to Iron Bridge, Ludlow and other amazing heritage sites.
