About this property

Oakura beachfront, 8 Kayaks, SU Paddleboard, Wifi, Gas fire pit

Planted right on the beachfront of Oakura's white sandy safe swimming beach, this house has everything you need for a relaxing holiday in paradise. Watch the kids playing on the beach from the kitchen and open plan dining-lounge area. Plenty of water toys including 8 kayaks, a stand up paddle board, and boogie boards. Entertain and eat outside on the large rear deck into the evening with party lights and the gas fire pit.
This place is great for one or two families to share. Two double bedrooms (1 x king, 1 x queen beds) a bunkroom (1 bunk set sleeping 2 plus an innerspring single bed) and a small bedroom with 2 single beds with innerspring bases and mattresses. Sleeps 9 with 8 kayaks and a stand up paddle board for your use. Large open living area, 42” TV, stereo with Spotify and Netflix. Only 1 Neighbour. On-site parking for several cars and boat.

THE BUILDING
• Modernised classic single level Kiwi beach house with expansive decks and indoor - outdoor flow

• Ground level decks on three sides – so you can get sun all day
• Plenty of outdoor furniture including a large dining table seating 10-12
• Gas barbeque and Italian gas fire pit on rear deck

THE BEDROOMS
• Master Bedroom has a quality King bed and opens onto the large west deck
• Front bedroom with quality Queen bed opening onto northern seaward deck
• Bunkroom 1 with 1 bunk units (2 single beds) and an innersprung king single bed and base - access to master bedroom is through here
• Bedroom 4 with 2 comfortable innerspring single beds and bases
• Sleeps 2 couples plus 5 singles plus a baby cot

THE KITCHEN
• Full views of the lounge area, beach and ocean while in the kitchen
• Oven, Cook top, Microwave, 2 drawer dishwasher, 2 x Fridge Freezers, Toaster, Jug, Mixers etc.
• Large amount of crockery, utensils, baking and serving dishes, cups, glasses, wine glasses, etc.
• Nespresso coffee machine with 1 packed of 10 coffee pods supplied – bring your favourite flavours. Quality tea pot and coffee plunger.

You have full access to the house, kayak shed with 8 kayaks and a stand up paddleboard, and laundry in the garage.

Interaction with guests

We live in Auckland but our caretaker lives just 300 metres from the house in case anything arises during your stay.

OUR FAMILY BREAKAWAY AT OAKURA BOOK A BATCH
From booking through to exiting the batch, everything went like clockwork. The shower had such good pressure, the two toilets was a great idea. We sat on the front deck during the day when the sun was out and ventured round the back deck after dinner with the gas burner going outside, with the fairy lights and toast marsh mellows too. The kids were safe playing out the back to kick the ball around and chase bubbles, if they didn't want to play on the beach which is at your front door. This was the best family stay we have had in many years where it ticked all the boxes. I have no hesitation in recommending The Oakura Batch 100%

Oakura beach vibes
Over all our stay was amazing. Local charter boat fishing with Justin Smith who stay just down the road was awesome to kick start our beautiful holiday. Enjoyed the sunand the waking up to the beach every morning was a bonus. Very kid friendly. Caterers for babies as well as children who did not want to leave. Oakura is such a beautiful place. Rain or shine we still had fun and made the most of it. Local cleaner was very approachable. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you for having us.

Wish we were still there!! Just amazing location and view. House has everything that you need.
We had a week there with friends(4 adults and 4 children). The house is set up great and amazing views (plus the sound of the sea). Bed rooms are separate so kids could play away from lounge and great backyard for them which is fenced. Lots of places to sit outside. A complete luxury to just walk a few steps and be on the beach. The only slight negative comment, which really only bothered one adult, were the cars that kept driving by in front of the house. It was fantastic and we would love to return. Thank you so much for a perfect getaway and great communication.

Perfect Beach Stay
We hadn’t stayed in Oakura Bay before but what a special place. The house was spacious, very well stocked and the location could not have been better. The kids were out every day on the boogie boards and we could enjoy the sight and sounds of the waves at all times of the day. Doug was a great host; well organized and very accommodating. Would definitely return and recommend to anyone.

Just beutful
The house the scenery everything my family enjoyed so enjoyed.one minor thing though we didn't have any access to a laundry area at the house and I would have loved to have washed all the tea towels and stuff we used that was provided for us at the house. But other than that the home itself was just so beautiful even the houses aoura was beautiful can definitely tell it is a family home and it's comforting.

We had a fabulous 6 days staying here. The place is just lovely, and you don't even need to leave the property to feel that you are right on the beach. The owners have thought of and provided everything you might need or want for a great break away. They are also easy to contact and responsive should any issues or questions pop up.

Jan and I have three adult sons and were both fortunate to have parents who loved holidaying at the beach.

We always had a two-week summer holiday at a beach somewhere, whether it be in a family tent on one of my Dad’s mates' sections, later in a caravan, or in my grandparents bach at Lang's Beach or my other grandparents home at Paihia. When I was about 15 my parents bought a bach at Oakura Bay and we spent many happy summers holidaying and boating there.

When my parents relocated from Northland to a farm in the King Country and sold their Oakura bach we carried on holidaying here in the camping ground at Pirutahi Bay, just over the hill from Oakura. Eventually we bought our own beach house at Oakura and have holidayed there regularly since 1999.

Why they chose this property

It is right on the beach and gets all day sun being one of the last baches to loose the sun in the evening. We did a major rennovation and modernisation after purchasing it to give an indoor - outdoor flow and to make it suitable for accommodating two families together at the same time.
