This was our second stay at this bach in Pataua North, following on from a most successful winter trip last year. Once again, we were a party of two friends and one small dog (who bounded out of the car to reclaim control of the garden and the access path to the beach). The bach is very clean, comfortable and welcoming, with everything you need for a relaxing stay. As I commented on our first trip, the great sea views and the sound of the waves are a delight. The weather was lovely each day, and we spent a lot of the time walking along the beach and the estuary. We also had a few swims. We braved the surf on Parauwanui beach once but decided the estuary was more our speed (both of us being used to flat water swimming).Noho ora mai Anthony!
Great place to stay, nice hidden little spot with an awesome beach and amazing views.
Will recommend to others and hope to be back in the future.
Bach has everything needed for an enjoyable stay
Perfect property for a family get away.
The house is surprisingly roomy and the view is fanastic. Having beach access from the section is a huge plus, adding loads of fun to our stay.
Our second winter weekend stay here. Fantastic views from the huge deck, warm cosy bach, comfy beds, we love it! Anthony is quick to reply to any questions. Our dog loved walks on the beach and we loved curling up on the 3 sofas reading books and watching the waves. Great to have a big oven to cook delicious feasts too! We'll be back again next winter!
Awesome, great spot, loved that you had a choice of surf beach or estury side. Would stay again. Amazing sunrises, beautiful views. Everything you needed.
We had a wonderful time walking, fishing and relaxing. The host was very communicative and friendly. The bach is clean and comfortable. The bed we used was very comfy, the shower had great pressure and everything was clean. The bach has everything you could ever need and the heater kept things very cosy even when it got cold. Would definitely stay here again and would love to come back in summer. With a surf beach out front and the estuary a short walk away this place has something for everyone. Thanks again for everything Anthony 😊
Fabulous bach, great for the dog. Deck has amazing views. Right on the beach. Huge heater which heated the whole house brilliantly. Bach has all the amenities you need, and turning on all the stuff was easy. Dog loved the beach and estuary walks (very dog friendly community, there are lots of other dogs. We kept her on leash because shes not always friendly to other dogs but off leash is allowed on the beach). Would definitely come again.
Our party comprised two friends and one small dog, on our first visit to Pataua (what a great getaway location, so relaxing).
We made the most of the clean, bright and comfortable space in the bach, particularly enjoying the wide sea views from inside or out on the deck.
We found the bach was pleasantly warm and it has a well-equipped kitchen, a good shower and comfortable beds.
There is a little track from the garden that drops you onto the surf beach in a couple of minutes, the beach is great for a good long walk (and for watching the surfers). Or you can take an easy walk back along the road to cross the footbridge over the estuary, and then wander around Pataua South.
I should also mention that a couple of rabbits in the garden provided much excitement for that one small dog! No creature was harmed (but we all had some extra exercise…).
Many thanks to our host Anthony!
We booked Anthony’s bach for friends who were staying at Pataua for our daughters wedding. Anthony was so great to deal with and very accommodating with a last minute change of numbers. We knew our friends would love the location as it’s right on the beach and they did! A great kiwi bach in a fabulous spot. Thanks Anthony 😊
Amazing location, bach very clean and homely. View from deck over sea. Slept listening to ocean. Such a special place. Host was very easy to deal with & helpful. Is great that we were allowed to take our doggie family members.
