PRIME BEACH FRONT LOCATION
Ideal for families. Traditional Kiwi Bach, comfortable and rustic. Walk over the road and onto the sand dune pathway to the beach.

The Bach is close to a beach boat ramp, public reserve, and 5 min walk to local shops. There is a four-lane concrete boat ramp and jetty at the Purangi estuary end (Eastern) of the beach - launch and retrieve at high to mid tide only.

Good walks to both ends of the beach to the estuary or Purangi river reserve (perfect for kids of all ages)
A boat can be moored out front in the sea to your own anchor and buoy or stored on site.
Plenty of space for cars and boat storage (tents only by negotiation-extra cost negotiated prior to acceptance of booking)

The Bach interior has been described as Retro due to the era it was built and the style of decoration, it is tidy and clean and a relaxing place to unwind and have fun.
Bedrooms set up as follows: upper level - BDRM 1 (1 x double bed, 2 x single bed) Lower level BDRM 2 (Queen Bed), BDRM 3 (1 x double bed) BDRM 4 (Modern bunks - 2 single beds)

The section is fenced (wire square netting) and gated.
Large deck with table, Bench seats and umbrella, BBQ out front to take in the views and relax. Split level with 2 living areas
Bring your own linen and towels.

Special conditions:
Pets - Dogs outside preferably but flexible if dog well managed and not wet, sandy or stinky (keep off furniture), cats ok if house trained.

Water - The main water supply is rainwater, however, there is a bore backup. Please be mindful of water conservation.

Tents/ Caravans - By negotiation only - extra charge applies if agreed.

NOTE: Please leave the house tidy (vacuum the floors) and do the dishes and put them away before you leave. Ideally, leave the house as you find it when you enter.

Most relaxing stay

Old school kiwi Bach, clean & tidy, everything you need to just wind down, no tv or wifi, just a beautiful view & location, we loved it I think this was our 4th stay, and we will no doubt be back again !

Xmas with Family

As we are used to this older type Bach accommodation at beautiful Cooks Beach couldn’t fault it. Across road to safe beach, shop and restaurant just up road . Clean very tidy and would stay there again

Kinda like on old kiwi Bach. Weather was mostly good although fishing was very slow, probably better on the others used this time of year.

Getaway bliss

We stayed here while getting married Cooks Beach. The location is amazing and the place was nice and full of character, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the break from Wifi and fast pace life was great. The host was very friendly and helpful and having one of the few fully fenced sections was good with a young child to let loose.

Rustic and Practical Family Bach

This property was a pleasure to stay at! Beautiful upstairs deck and living area to soak in the sun, and ample room for the whole family to retreat from the rain! The entrance to the bach downstairs had a wide and spacious entry room, with room to stack luggage, store strollers and wheelchairs, play games, and even set up the ping-pong table! As well as two large window seats that were big enough to have been an extra two beds, or the perfect place to nap in the sun. It's large yard and back lawn was well fenced, and perfect for pets. The beach was right across the road, which was lovely, and due to the sandbar the ocean was subdued and gentle, perfect for the kids! The owner was incredibly helpful and kind, providing comprehensive information on the bach and amenities, and also a wonderful collection of things to do in the area: helpful tips on where to get fuel, how much the ferry to Whitianga costs, and the best places to eat! And the sign-in and sign-out was completely hassle-free. Excellent service and stay, and I the whole family looks forward to another stay in the future!

Just how a bach should be!

We had a great time at this property. The deck has sea views and the beach is just across the road. It had everything we needed, lots of space inside and out and was fenced for the dog and toddler. Very helpful host. We will definitely book again!!!

True Kiwi Beach Bach

What an awesome bach! We were pleasantly surprised at how much room there was in terms of options for sleeping and just the layout of this quaint wee bach. Really good for two families - especially have the ample fridge/freezer space with two fridges/freezers plus another good sized separate chest freezer. Heaps of room on the section for our kids to run around on and so helpful having the clothes line plus separate undercover area under carport for hanging clothes to dry if it's raining etc. Really relaxing place to stay especially being right across from the beach... nice to hear the waves at night! Great host and communication - would be happy to come and stay here again. It would be helpful perhaps on the listing to have a few more photos - just of the downstairs area (good sized room that isn't shown on the listing, which has the 3 downstairs bedrooms off it, including a large window seat area). Photos of the front/back of property would also no doubt be helpful to see the space of the place. Awesome place!

This place felt like a home away from home. The perfect place for family to enjoy and relax!

Absolutely loved staying here. We would recommend to anyone wanting a clean place with a nostalgic feel from growing up with my grandparents and with the beach across the road it was perfect getaway place. Thanks Jeff for the great communication and giving us this space to relax.

Cook's Beach Gem

Great location and batch. Loved the old school feel and location. Plenty of room even with a wet weekend and the table tennis table was a welcome bonus. Will definitely be back some time!

Everything we needed and worked well for our extended family group. A nice spot with easy access to Cooks beach, just across the road. Recommended, great place to relax and ideal location to enjoy and explore this part of the Coromandel.

Great family bach

This is a comfortable, well-equipped family bach right across the road from the beach. It had everything necessary for our extended family with an age range of 5 to 80. We had a marvellous time and will be back!
