About this property

Comfortable, modern, light and airy house at beautiful, safe Flaxmill Bay beach. Less than 200 metres walk to the lovely local beach. Also very close to Front Beach, Ferry Landing and Eggscentric Cafe. 10 minute walk to the passenger ferry across to the friendly town of Whitianga where you will find lots of nice shops, supermarkets and a cinema. Short drive to Cooks Beach, Hahei, Cathedral Cove and Hot Water Beach. Good diving, fishing, swimming, and handy boat ramp and shops at Cook beach. Flat section in quiet friendly cul de sac with room to park a boat. Good areas for cycling with children and plenty of beautiful walking tracks. Excellent family beach.
All amenities including dishwasher, microwave, sky TV and washing machine. 2 bathrooms and an outdoor shower.

Special conditions:
Maximum of 4 adults and 3 children. Two night minimum stay (non-peak). Smoking outside only. No tents, caravans etc. Best suited to 2 couples and up to 3 children sharing a room.

Great Spot and Great Host

Family getaway

Arrived and got in easily, and v pleased with how clean and comfortable this very well located holiday home is to all you want to see in the region.... also the property owner was incredibly helpful and kind, replying to us very promptly with any of my questions. Couldn't fault a thing.

Friends winter get away

Great location, close to beach, the ferry and a nice quiet street. Very clean and the sun streams into the living space making it very warm. Would happy stay there again. Cheers

Absolut beautiful.

This place is truly wonderful .. 2 minutes to the beach lovely garden, super nice house. The area is great to explore and has lots of things to offer. The host is super polite and helps with everything. We can absolutely recommend it.

This property was ideal for a week with our friends - location was perfect, close to the beech, and a walking track to a fantastic look out. Having a nice café within walking distance was a bonus. The property was very well appointed, having 2 bathrooms was ideal.

Great Holiday Home

We had a wonderful time with the children enjoying all the varied beaches and activities this location has to offer. It was fun discovering large crabs at Lonely Bay and our youngest loved the pontoon now at Flaxmill Bay. The Kayaks were fun too. The home was very clean, comfortable and spacious. It was an ideal family home with separate areas for family and grandparents with two bathrooms. We all loved the outside shower with hot water and two taps at front and back made it easy to keep our feet sand free. Elaine was very helpful and generous with the use of pantry items, towels, games etc. We opted to have the sheets at a small extra cost and I found it particularly helpful finding the beds made up, especially the bunks. It was lovely to see Flaxmill Bay as you walk down the road - the beach is only just 2 to 3 minutes away. Such a beautiful view. The camping ground next door was no problem being noises of family fun. I did find the neighbour's home at the front of the bach separated by a fence a bit too close as they had a number of people stay. They were very friendly though and I think a few trees planted there would solve any privacy problem. This was not something that would put me off coming again. We had a wonderful holiday. Always a fabulous stay here

We have rented this bach 3 times now and we just love it. The location, proximity to the beach, access to other lovely areas such as Hahei, Whitianga, and Hot water beach. House is always clean, tidy and has everything we need for our family of 5. It’s very hard to find an affordable bach in this area in summer and this is one of the best!

Flaxmill Bay

Good, tidy, comfortable property with everything you need. Very comfortable beds! Basic kitchen with everything you need. Lovely luxury of having hot outdoor shower! Note: if you are wanting a quiet tranquil getaway this is not the place. It is next to a small campground and this constant ambient noise may not suit everyone.

Perfect location

The house was clean and well set up for outdoor dining. It was close to all the great adventures coromandel has to offer with a beach a short stroll away. Loved our stay and we will be back

Weekend break.

We had a wonderful stay at Flaxmill Bay, its a beautiful spot and the accommodation was perfect for us. A short stroll to the beach and into the water. We loved it. Thank you to the lovely owners , who we met.

Great location, comfortable bach

The property was well laid out and accommodated our needs perfectly. We appreciated having the use of the kayaks during our stay and the Wasjig was great fun too! Location is ideal in a quiet cul de sac with easy access to a lovely safe swimming beach and good walks nearby. Would recommend!

Flaxmill Fun

We really enjoyed our family getaway to flaxmill bay. This house suited our family perfectly. Felt very spacious and modern. Kitchen was well equipped. The location was great. Central to a variety of beaches, and close to an awesome cafe that does great coffee and awesome carrot cake.
