The Chocolate Trout Turangi

Cosy warm house with a spacious living and out door area. Located close to the Turangi shops and lots of things to do. There is space to park the boat off the road and a safe enclosed out door area around the back for kids.

Sleeps 7 in bedrooms and there is a pull out couch in lounge (comfortable inner sprung mattress) There is a 2nd toilet outside. SLEEP OUT IS NOT SUITABLE IN WINTER

All the comforts of home, gas fire, dishwasher, DVD, etc.

Could do Better
The house is in a quiet location and a short walk to the local shops and pool. Good sized section for family and off street parking for boats and cars. Plenty of kitchen equipment, blankets and pillows, plenty of hot water and the shower was great. However some of the cleaning left a bit to be desired with most flat surfaces in need of a good wipe down with dead flies left on the windowsills. Windows hadn't been cleaned in a long time as plenty of fingerprints and spiderwebs remained. We did enjoy our stay regardless of these issues.

3 generations of us enjoyed a winter get away here at the Chocolate Trout. Definitely needed that awesome gas fire. Spacious home with well set up kitchen. Had to buy tea towels. Marilyn was on the end of the phone when we needed directions to the tip. Great stay had by all of us

Great location, peaceful and tranquil
Great for us with children, easy to walk to town, close to everything you need. Clear instructions and helpful ideas. We loved doing the river trail, and rode bikes and had lots of fun on our stopover to Levin - thank you very much!

Arrived in the beginning of summer no a/c missed that on the listing, could not get the tv to work for local channels there was a selection of dvd's that system worked fine. The shower was interesting... there was not a sharp knife in the placethe place

Easy arrival and warm up. All tools for a good cooking event. Fantastic entertainment selection if required. Not sure why a vehicle parked in way up driveway. One recycling bin was hidden for some reason.

Warm in chilly Turangi
Really enjoyed our stay, roaring gas fore in the lounge and wee wall heaters in bedrooms kept everyone toasty on a cold spring weekend. Kids had a blast with all the toys and bunks in the kids room. Lots of extra bedding available. Much preferred location for ease of access to the mountains than Taupo. Thanks, we'll be back!

Fathers Day Fishing
This was our second stay at Chocolate Trout so knew what to expext. Well suited to our needs, very comfortable, well located, easy comms and self check-in process. Thanks Marilyn. Location was quiet with short walk to Tongariro River southern banks and easy access to State Highway for other fishing and adventure opportunities.
