About this property
Superbly appointed, luxury 2-bedroom holiday home with incredible views!
Ocean Belle Onetangi is a superbly appointed luxury 2-bedroom holiday home with incredible views over Onetangi Beach and across to Coromandel and Great Barrier Island. This is a mid-century home with 21st-century features, finished with luxurious furniture, thick velvet curtains, hotel-grade bedding, and a state-of-the-art audio-visual system.
Despite all the wonderful interior features, the first thing everybody notices is the view. It is absolutely breathtaking, whatever the weather. The location is set high above Onetangi Beach, affording views right across the island. To take advantage of the amazing views, the house has several outdoor areas for lounging, dining, reading, or relaxing with a glass of wine. Whether you prefer full sun or a shaded spot with a light breeze, there is a perfect spot for you.
As you make your way inside the house, you are welcomed by a warm and inviting space. The house was built in the 1940s and was constructed with exquisite attention to detail, from the original Matai wood flooring to the negative-detailed wall panels and the tongue-and-groove ceiling. The new owners have retained much of the original charm of the building but have fully refitted the house, making it an efficient and modern home.
There is a central command system that takes care of your entertainment needs, with high-speed internet and integrated ceiling speakers to deliver music to all areas of the house, both inside and out. There is a smart TV in the lounge and another in the master bedroom.
The home is fully insulated and stays warm in winter and cool in summer. Each bedroom has doors that open up to the deck, offering a great ocean breeze in the afternoons and a connection with the outdoors. In winter, the wood burner in the lounge keeps the house toasty warm.
Both bedrooms are spacious and offer excellent privacy. The master bedroom features a large dressing area as well as a reading nook. The second bedroom is a good size, and both have super comfortable queen-size beds and plenty of storage for clothes in the integrated wardrobes. Both bedrooms have their own bathrooms, with an ensuite in the second bedroom and a large family-sized bathroom adjacent to the master suite. The bathrooms come with luxury bath sheets, premium shampoo and body wash, and a hairdryer.
The kitchen is large and very well laid out, with every appliance on hand, including a double oven, gas hob, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, and Nespresso machine. There is also a gas BBQ for al fresco cooking. Plenty of cups, glasses, plates, and cutlery make this a great place to self-cater. In the butler's pantry next to the kitchen, there is additional storage and prep space, as well as a wine fridge and full laundry facilities, including a washing machine and dryer.
There are indoor and outdoor dining spaces available, as well as a small office areaperfect if you need to get some work done while you are away.
The house is located close to Onetangi Beach, the largest beach on Waiheke Island, with its range of bars and restaurants. There is also a large Four Square convenience store, a petrol station, and a fish-and-chip shop nearby. Onetangi is home to some of Waihekes best wine producers, with Stonyridge, Tantalus, Wild Estate, and Te Motu all close by. There is so much to do just in Onetangi that you are going to wish you had booked a longer trip!
There are very few houses of this quality available on Waiheke. The fit and finish, along with the attention to detail, are second to none, making this a wonderful option for a getaway with family or friends.
