With a strong background in Food & Beverage and experience creation, and having been born and raised here, I’m your go-to person for enjoying all that this destination has to offer.

Bahía de Banderas is a diverse and vibrant area nestled between the states of Jalisco to the south and Nayarit to the north, separated by the Ameca River. Each side of the bay offers its own unique set of activities and experiences.

To the north, about a 30-minute drive away, is Puerto Vallarta. This lively area features the famous Malecón, a scenic boardwalk lined with numerous restaurants, shopping spots, bars, and beaches. The Romantic Zone, also located here, is perfect for those looking to have a great time with its vibrant nightlife and entertainment options.

Heading south, you’ll find Sayulita, a world-renowned surfing destination, and San Pancho, another spot known for its great waves. Punta Mita is also in this direction and is known for its upscale vibe, offering a range of gourmet dining options and unique tours. These destinations are about a 50-minute drive from the bay.

If you prefer to stay closer, Nuevo Nayarit is just a 15-minute drive away, offering a variety of dining options, beach clubs, and public beaches. Another nearby option is Bucerías, a quaint town 20 minutes away, filled with restaurants (many with beach access), shops, and bars with live music.

For practical needs, the closest ATM for pesos is in Mezcales, just a 5-minute drive away, while Bucerías has three ATMs that dispense U.S. dollars. If you're looking for anything specific, feel free to ask!
