Separate garden studio in peaceful sunny bush setting, just 2 minutes walk to Titirangi Village.

Access is via path at side of main house and 2 sets of concrete garden steps with handrail, passing through mature native kauri trees. Full sensor lighting at night.
Note: Luggage must be hand-carried down steps.

Generally 2 nights minimum stay, HOWEVER 4 nights minimum applies for the Xmas/January period, and 3 nights minimum at Easter Weekend.

Perfect recipe for a long flight

We were looking for a quiet spot for a two night stay and this studio retreat was ideal. It is out of the city but with a car and transit we had the best of both worlds. Would absolutely stay there again. Lindsay was a great host and communicator as we had to change arrival dates and he took care of the necessary changes. Thanks again for helping us start off our trip refreshed and excited to see more of NZ

A private, sub-topical forest paradise with access to a world class international city.

Had a wonderful time chilling in complete privacy, hiking local trails to beaches, scenic overlooks, and a nearby historic village with cultural sites, and all necessities. This location also has very easy access to the Auckland urban area via modern, clean, bus, rail and ferry systems. I would love a return visit.

Retreat in the Kauri trees very private

We enjoyed our stay very much, loved the outlook over the Kauri and native trees, birds and nature. Lindsay was very helpful and friendly, but it was a really private spot. Unique and special.

Truly a Retreat

A beautiful property surrounded by native bush. Perfect for the single traveler or couple. It has everything you need. Very clean and the bed was so comfy! A short walk to charming Titirangi village where you can catch the bus and make your way around Auckland. I only wish I could have stayed a bit longer!

Relaxing Hideaway

What a little gem of a property, Quiet and peaceful amongst beautiful trees and bird song and only a very short walk into Titirangi township that has everything you need. Would love to stay again. Thank you :)

A wonderful oasis

Auckland's best kept secret

It was a real pleasure dealing with our hosts Lindsay & Gillian. They were awesome and very friendly and most of all very helpful with anything we needed and very knowledgeable on all things Auckland and surrounding areas including access to Trains and buses and where the free parking was. We found Rangawai Retreat was very central to everything and only 20mins by train to the City Central. Our unit had everything, great bed and shower. It was a very relaxing stress free quiet place to spend our 10days in the middle of the beautiful New Zealand rainforest full of Kauri trees and filled with loads of birds and wildlife to see. Our only complaint was "We didn't want to leave our piece of NZ paradise." We definitely will be booking this unit for all our future trips to NZ. Many Thanks again and thumbs up to our wonderful hosts Lindsay & Gillian.

Clean and private space

Clean and private cabin nestled away amongst native trees! Also a nice view, we could even see the sky tower. Only reason for 4 starts - we stayed when the weather was terrible and the noise from the rain and wind kept us awake most of the night!

Comfortable weekend away

Had a lovely stay. Great location, away from the busyness of Auckland. Village that's in walking distance had all the essentials we needed. Hosts were lovely, very helpful. Will definitely think of them again when traveling to Auckland next time.

Native Forrest retreat.

This was a great location, with well designed accommodation, nestled amongst the tall trees of a kauri forest. The songs of the tuis, native birds, were often heard. Overall a very pleasing experience.

Tranquility and Tuis

Hosts are caring, helpful and welcoming to their property. The studio is well set up and presented to a very high standard of cleanliness. Very comfortable bed, an absolute bonus! Fantastic bush and views with abundant ant bird life. The tuis majestic. Nighttime view of the Manukau Harbour exquisite. Ambrosia restaurant a 5 min walk away ….a scrumptious meal was shared! Property is so tranquil. MAGIC especially if you come from a small town for an occasion in Titirangi.

Bird paradise

This feels like you are in a treehouse, surrounded by tall native bush with tuis, kereru and rainbow lorikeets all around. Delightful.

Lovely setting in the bush.

Lovely setting in the bush. Nice to have an outdoor area with furniture to sit at. Very handy to Titirangi village. Comfortable warm bed. Cooking facilities if required look adequate. Choosing a star rating is difficult - compared with what??? My rating (which is required) is at the high end for what was my requirements.
