About this property

Down a Country road, across from the river. With only 5mins drive to town.
A well equipped house with Freeview, free access to netflix, wifi available. Plenty of off road parking. We are also pet friendly.
With various activities around to keep you busy as you want.!
Maybe go down to the river to do a spot of fishing or Stroll along the beach track then head to one of Hokitika's many cafes for coffee. Wander around Hokitika's Craft Shops or out to the Hokitika Gorge then to the treetop walkway. Hire a bike and do the Bike Trail. See the Glow worms. Or maybe a game of golf. Or just out to the lakes.
Also a drive to the Franz Josef Glacier which is only one and a half hours drive or up to Punakaiki Pancake Rocks.
Then after a busy day back to the house- relax and on colder days light the fire or
switch on the heat pump.
Maybe head up to Woodstock tavern for that dinner and music. Or into town to Lunch/Dinner at Stumpers Restaurant or the Ocean View Restaurant.

Close to Hokitika

We had a wonderful stay and wished it was longer. Very clean with plenty of space and everything we needed. Lovely view of the river. it's only a short driving distance to the delightful town of Hokitika. Strongly recommended!

Perfect house for our family to stay, decorated with lots of Christmas decorations, my kids loved the twerking Santa, playground, yard, and sheep next door neighbours.

Loved our stay here. The house is very spacious and comfortable and was nice and cosy with the fire lit. Pleasant, quiet area, but still only a very short drive to town. Enjoyed looking out over the river. The property is fully fenced, and our (foster) dog enjoyed being able to run around in the garden.

Large comfortable house and easy to find

Well equipped house and plenty of space for 4 adults. Close to town which was great to walk around on the wet days we had. Interesting museum and a fascinating glass blowing display and jade polishing shop.

Nice large house with lots of appliances and utensils. Well set up. Friendly hosts to make you feel at home.The kitchen and bathroom /laundry mostly clean just needing attention to detail like top of the fridge, rangehood and cobwebs. These are minor things on the whole it was pretty clean.Would not hesitate to come back to stay again.Recommended.

Great for our family

Perfect for us, the place had everything we needed (and then some). A wonderful base for us, just up the road to the centre, or the treetop walk/ziplining and walks along the beach. Beautiful view of the river, great bird life too. Playground and toys for kids. Thank you very much, a real home away from home.

Absolutely amazing, comfortable holiday house is lovely, peaceful setting! I cannot express how surprised I was at this wonderful find. Great view, quality beds and linens, large shower, well-equipped kitchen and outdoor table as well. I didn’t expect WiFi or a washing machine, which were added bonuses! I highly recommend the Hokitika Holiday Home! You will not be disappointed!
