Malua Bay is one of the most gorgeous areas across the Eurobodalla district, with a stunning beach and an eclectic community. Whether you love to fish, surf, or just hang out on the beach, Malua Bay is the perfect holiday destination to just kick back and relax.
Malua Bay is located in the heart of the Eurobodalla region. This region is home to a variety of coastal towns, and around every corner you'll find small spatterings of friendly communities. Whether you want to head into the lively Batemans Bay, walk down the main street of the beloved Mogo, enjoy the handmade goodies at Bodalla, or explore the hundreds of beaches along the South Coast, Eurobodalla is the best place for a coastal getaway.
Explore the mural trail and sculpture walk, an easy 1.5km seaside trail that encompasses some gorgeous street art and unique sculptures from local artists, as well as stunning bayside vistas. While you're here, head to Observation Point or Holmes Lookout, offering stunning views of the bay. Clear azure water and stunning native birds and foliage are boundless, so make sure you snap some photos to share the beauty of this area with your loved ones back home.
Murramarang National Park is the perfect way to get in touch with nature, with abundant birdlife, eastern grey kangaroos, and endless opportunities to walk, fish, swim, or surf. In such a peaceful area, you'll feel a world away from all the hustle and bustle of your daily grind. Spanning 44km of dramatic coastline and golden shores, this is the ultimate spot to soak up some sun and explore the cliffs, headlands, and pristine beaches of the NSW south coast. When you're ready to take a break from the stunning beaches you can opt to canoe or walk around Durras lake instead.
Seeking some adrenaline? Head to Corrigans beach and go kitesurfing or jet-skiing while enjoying the beautiful outlook of this area. If that's not your speed, Corrigan's Beach is still stunning, whether you want to swim, surf, fish, or create sandcastles. With plenty of sand and safe waters, Corrigan's Beach is definitely a hit among the locals. Once you've finished up at Corrigan's Beach for the day, make sure you hop on the Merinda Cruise for a relaxing and informative tour of the Clyde River. With fresh fish, chips, and salad and plenty of interesting information to devour, this is an excellent way to get familiar with the area. The twilight seafood dinner cruises, featuring their famous fresh local delicacies, are a must do whilst visiting the beautiful Eurobodalla Coast.
Once you've had a long day of exploring, make sure to take advantage of some of the best eateries in NSW. The Innes Boat Shed is famous among locals and tourists alike for their star-quality fish and chips. If you're a fan of seafood, make sure you also check out Stingray Ocean and Grill, as well as The Sandbar. In the home of world-class seafood, these restaurants have fresh fish daily. For the best ginger beer in town (or possibly NSW), make sure you head to Starfish. Finally, if you've got a bit of a sweet tooth, make sure you head over to GJ's Bay Cafe and Grill - these pancakes are famous far and wide, with some tourists travelling hundreds of kilometres to enjoy them,
Snapper island is a stone throw from Corrigans beach and, like the larger Tollgate Islands beyond, is a protected reserve home to vulnerable birdlife. A fantastic view over the whole bay can be captured from Holmes lookout, in the Clyde River National Park. There are so many things to do in Batemans Bay, you are spoilt for choice!
