Welcome to Buckley's Rest - a large 1930s two bedroom apartment nestled on the doorstep of historic Battery Point, Sandy Bay shopping precinct and bustling Salamanca Place. With beautiful period features throughout and a large, fully fenced and freshly landscaped backyard, you can easily walk to all inner-city attractions. WiFi is included with your stay and parking is available on-street.
The Space:
Located on the ground floor of a solidly built 1930s brick house, Buckley's Rest is one of two apartments featuring gorgeous original characteristics throughout. Typical of its era, the property is spacious and can accommodate up to 6 guests.
Each of the 2 bedrooms is fitted out with a Queen bed and there is a fold out sofa bed in each of the living rooms, which are available depending on your requirements. The kitchen is fully-equipped for self-catering and an updated bathroom completes the apartment.
The fully fenced backyard has been recently landscaped and features outdoor furniture and a large grassed area to enjoy.
Parking is in front of the apartment on the street. It is free, however 2 hour restricted during weekdays. Finding a park close to the front door is generally easy.
Seeing the sights of inner Hobart is a breeze from Buckley's location - a 5 minute stroll will take you into the heart of historic Battery Point to enjoy a delicious pastry at Jackman McRoss bakery or into bustling Salamanca to enjoy the market on a Saturday morning. When it is time to pick up some groceries for dinner or mail your postcards home, the shopping precinct of Sandy Bay is also only 5 minutes on foot.
If you aren't planning on hiring a car whilst in Hobart, then Buckley's Rest is the perfect place to settle in! For those guests who do require parking, on-street spaces are available outside the entrance and the bus stop is only a few steps away.

Buckley's Rest is centrally positioned on the fringe of affluent Sandy Bay, historic Battery Point and the Hobart CBD. It is a quiet neighbourhood, down the road from a primary school and surrounded by leafy green trees. A perfect base for anyone coming to Hobart, whether you are a couple, group, family or travelling on business.
Getting Around:
Commuting on foot from Buckley's Rest is a breeze and public transport is virtually on the doorstep. Parking at the property is on the street only steps away from the front door. Parking is free on the street, however the majority of spaces are 2 hr restricted on weekdays between 8am and 6pm.
The public transport system in Hobart is run by Metro Tasmania and all time tables can be seen on the Metro Tas website. For those guests arriving/departing with the Hobart Airporter Shuttle, the drop off/pick up point is only metres away at the nearby St Ives Hotel.
