Beautiful Foehn Cottage

What a great cottage to stay between Christchurch and Queenstown. Cozy, warm, gorgeous porch to watch the world go by. Everything you could want. Great host. Short drive into Mt Cook National Park and Twizel is charming.

Excellent Facilities in a Great Location!

This is a lovely place to stay as well as being a perfect base for exploring the area around Mount Cook. A very helpful owner recommended the local lavender fields, which were a great success. Would stay there again - recommended!

Nice cozy stay

Nice place, good location. Would’ve thought that the hosts would’ve communicated more with us about a snow storm that hit during the one full day that we were there (even just to make sure that we were okay, if not to let us know the weather expectation ahead of time), but other than that it was good!

Perfect balance of peace and quiet

Foehn cottage is a welcoming, warm and spacious accommodation. It was just what we needed to recharge and reset before heading out to Aoraki/Mt.Cook for a day trip. The aesthetic is on point, the cottage immaculately clean and furnished. We sat on the porch to enjoy the afternoon sun and play with the resident cat! Our hosts were always friendly and helpful when we needed it. It’s also well-situated near the town center and supermarkets, cafes, bookstores and a bakery. I can’t think of a better place to stay in Twizel.

Nice farm cottage

We were very happy with this property. It was clean and had everything we needed to cook breakfast and dinner. After a long day of hiking it was nice to come back, sit on the porch and watch the sunset. I would stay here again. There was just two of us but there was easily room for two additional guests.

Cute cottage

Foehn cottage was perfect for the two of us. Very clean and comfortable with beautiful furnishings. It had everything for our stay - noting it doesn’t have an oven just a couple hobs which was all we wanted.

Great base for exploring Mt Cook

We stayed for 2 nights. The space has everything you need and was very clean and welcoming. It’s very quiet and private. We unfortunately had cloudy evening but I imagine the stargazing would be amazing from the front deck. We’ll appointed space and great hosts. Thank you!

Cosy, restful stay.

Lovely little cottage, so cosy and warm with all amenities except an oven, which we probably missed when we were booking. But other than that, we loved our stay and would stay again as it offers a lovely clean relaxing atmosphere. Thanks for accommodating us and I would recommend to others.
