About this property

Whiritoa is a very attractive beach only 15-20 minutes from either Waihi or Whangamata. Beautiful cliffs at the northern and southern ends of the beach plus a safe lagoon for small children.
There are tennis courts, a surf club, playground and a dairy/cafe within comfortable walking distance. The beach is only minutes away.
Big section with outlook to native bush and reserve.
Plenty of parking space. A large upper level deck with lovely views is great for outdoor living.

Extras: Cleaning can be arranged NZ$60.00 per stay if guests do not want to clean for any reason. NOTE: Under Kiwi bach tradition you are expected to: Bring your own linen (towels/sheets/pillow cases/tea towels);

Relaxing gem

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this little gem. The batch was the perfect size and location for our family of 4. We enjoyed sunny lunches on the deck, the beautiful garden full of native birds and the stunning beach just a short stroll away. There is no WIFI at this bach, which makes unplugging and relaxing all the more possible!

Perfect little bach

We had a lovely two nights staying in this little Bach which is up on poles making it a bit like a treehouse. Very private and beside a wetlands bush area. Short walk to the beach. Classic old kiwi Bach experience, highly recommended.

Ideal

We were working on a house just up the road so this was ideally located. We booked at short notice but they were able to fit us in. We were meant to stay the week of the cyclone but they let us change dates and made it super easy

Great place to stay for a relaxing weekend, very accommodating host after we had to shift our dates, the bach was a decent size for the four of us, very clean, close to the beach, good weekend all round, will stay here again

Everything you need!

We've been here a few times and love the property and location. The bach has everything you need in a well designed elevated construction. Well appointed kitchen and lovely deck with gate to keep little ones contained. Wake to birdsong and enjoy your coffee with Bush views and sound of the ocean in the distance. Yummy fresh oranges waiting for us on arrival. We'll be back!

We were quietly impressed with this place. Nice and quiet and tucked in behind a beautiful backdrop of Bush and lovely rustic gardens.. great value for money. Would rebook again

Stunning hide away

We had a wonderful weekend staying at this beautiful bach. The birdsong in the morning is gorgeous and easy walking to beach and bush walks. Absolutely loved our weekend away.

Great stay

We really enjoyed our stay. The setting is pretty. The water stopped at one stage which was a worry but then it came on again. Well equipped kitchen. Master bed was very comfortable.

Fantastic family space

Lovely private bach

Really enjoyed our stay. The house is super private and has lovely views of the surrounding area, with a great deck to sit out and enjoy. It was well equipped with everything we needed (nice BBQ, kitchen things etc). The beach is a very short walk away - but for those who haven’t been to Whiritoa before, note that it’s quite a ferocious beach (need to be comfortable in the surf!). A good location to explore the area too - short drives to Whangamata and Waihi.

Beautiful spot

We loved our stay here! Beautiful surroundings and the kids loved swimming in the lagoon. Very nice bach with everything we needed.
